Week 1
1: play 70 hours. ❌ 63
2: study 14 hours. ❌ 6
3. drink less beer - yes did drink only two days after the session.
The first week of the month I did play 63 hours and study only 6 hours and I want to play more but at the site where I'm playing is not much traffic in the late hours so I decided to cut little my sessions than play 2 tables at the end.
For the first time, I was winning all week every day. My profit is 291 USD which is 4.6usd per hour at micro stakes NL 0.08 and 0.16.
My bankroll is now 556 usd. Hopefully next month I will play NL 0.25. I will go there with 35 buy-ins and will go back if I lose 5 buy-ins.
I have to say my game after I watched coaching videos changed a lot. I realize I was calling too much before and especially with the high rake I should play much tighter.
In the first post, I was saying I will move to Thailand but now I'm thinking to go to Mexico instead and here is why.
PROS and CONS: THAILAND vs MEXICO
1. COST OF LIVING - Thailand is definitely cheaper I would say for micro stake players with not much money is a better option. In Chiang Mai, you can rent a condo for 160 USD a month but in Mexico never if you want to live like a person. Food is much cheaper in Thailand also I would say half the cost of Thailand. I mean if you eat in local restaurants.
2. VISA - MEXICO - have 6 monthly visas and if you overstay nothing will happen and THAILAND- 2-month visa plus one-month extension which you neeed to pay and plus you need to pay the visa also which in Mexico you don't. I don't exactly know the rules now for entry to Thailand for people who don't have vaccination but from what I read Mexico is fine and Thailand just needs a test now.
3. TIME ZONE - definitely Mexico I'm done playing nights.
4. GIRLS - Hmm is everybody's preference and Thai have many transgenders. I'm sure Latinas girls are more drama
5. FOOD - I think Asian food is better than food in Latin America.
6. LANGUAGE- Spanish Language is just beautiful plus everybody can dance to Salsa
7. SPIRITUAL LIFE - Thailand is the place to go for yoga and meditation.
I'm like 50/50 when I'm thinking about those pros and cons. Mexico will definitely win because of the time zone but I don't have money so I really don't know which country to GO. Another option was Vietnam but they have only one month visa and you need to make a visa run every month which will cost around 100usd plus the day or two which i will lose not playing.
I was thinking to get a job and grind with poker and I would feel like this is the easy option and something like a plan B.
I don't want to spend my energy on plan B, I just want to do it. I can always come back to Europe and get a job. Maybe not smart but I'm just going ONE WAY TICKET.
Next Sunday I will make a decision about where I will go.
WEEK 2 GOAL.
1. Play 70 hours
2. Study 6 hours
