AIEV is a pretty meaningless stat especially in PLO in my opinion. I wouldn’t even look at it. More important is analyzing hands and your overall stats for areas to improve in. Also, depending on how much this BR means to you (i.e., if it can be replenished) then for sure I’d be shot taking aggressively. Rake is insane at lower stakes PLO.

Yea that would a smart move, I did try that in the beginning of this challenge. But it made the challenge feel pretty pointless where my BR would swing and it wouldent follow the goal of getting the BR from 800 to 3k by playing 25PLO. And I ended up going down about 200 on the 50PLO stakes where I joined tables where I could spot one punter I had marked since before. so with the bank roll at 1150 atm Im gonna keep going like this and work on my game and when I finish the challenge I am hopefully going to continue to beat the game when I move up.

I am also playing a 0.20/0.40 and 0.25-0.50 stakes blind with 200bb buy in at svenska spel playing the anonymous tables. Its a completely different game there and I am doing a much better work at keeping it tight there because my opponents will 3-bet and check raise very often during hands. So I really need to pay attention to not get caught in tricky situations. I´ve been doing alright there for now atleast, but only playing two tables and only have about 50-60 hours I would assume, so remains to see how it turns out in the endt. Up a bit over 700$ which im really happy with playing only two tables there, but its less then 10 buy ins so can really lose it all in one bad night. I will also travel a bit to see family during the Xmas times so then ill only have my laptop with that I dont even have poker tracker on, and Im almost sure I will want to do some gambling. So then I will probably focus on 4 tables at svenska spel where you cant use any stats on your opponents. The Swedish gambling site is also quite juicy during these times of year so might as well push it there to try and increase my br, or maybe lose it all... Either way its gonna be fun, I dont know why but Xmas really brings out the joy in gambling

The deep stack is very bad and I would normally not play this hand on small, but I wanted gamle a bit and try and get deep to try and stack the other guy. So 3 betting to push hard on flop if I hit and fold if not. Would also fold pre against a 4 bet. Ended up getting payed of by one very tight reg with AA and then another recreational player. Fortunate to since I flopped top set vs the deep stack who payed of all in on the flop with AA no draws. So that session ended really well with 180 up, but still down 50$ so far early into 2020.

Decided to play a lot more setting monthly goals starting with 1k a month for January and February and playing atleast 100 hours to give it a fair chance of getting there. Even got in the zone playing a 14 hour session which sadly ended 70$- but it was down to 250 so still a nice come back and Im not sure why I felt so good through the session because not much went my way and even folded for long stretches when the cards just wouldent come. So if I play well I feel quite good about completing this challenge aswell getting the BR up to 3k before Februari ends, even to I doubt and dont plan to play longer sessions then 8 hours and will mostly play around 4-6.

BR at 1100.

Been a few more session in the red since the last update even tho the last 3 sessions has ended in the green again. Been a mixture of being card dead and playing bad, and then also getting it in in really good spots and end up losing anyway.

Even ended up following a dude that lost a few buy ins and went up in stakes. Neither of the two people in this pot was him and I felt quite safe with that flop thinking my AA was great blockers vs QJ. But Instead I ended up being drawing dead to runner runner which didint wanna bail me out that time. Would have ended this session in the green if I didint punt 100$ on this table.

Had a lot of those hands that just didint wanna hold up and then when I was on the wrong end on the flop I wasent able to catch up. One session was particulary pain full when I felt I played really well and I got a lot of action when I hit flops really well and getting my opponents to commit to pots with nothing but crappy draws that end up getting there. BR at 788 now and I honestly dont feel bad about it. Was a turn around for me a few months back where I was suddenly okay with losing. Before losing a session no matter how much or small always put me on tilt for the rest of the day and sometimes even the day after. I even saw a twitter post on reddit where someone linked to a video of Patrick Antonius where he explained it as "When I win I feel normal, when I lose I feel really bad" and that is exactly how I have felt for so many years playing the game and I thought I was pretty alone in feeling that way. It felt like who else would care so much if they lose 1 session in every 7-8 they play? Now in the begining of 2020 I have been able to lose and shake it of more or less as soon as Ive quit the tables.

Built a new PC since last post and I have not transfered my hand history from the last one, not yet atleast. Been running better last few sessions aswell and BR is back up to 970$. Played about 140 hours this month and its a personal best by far last two years. Looking to keep playing 100+ hours a month and some studying aswell. Looked at the last 5 months of 2019 and it was actually a shock to my self to see how little poker I played. Really want to get this challange done and to move up in stakesn and then I need to make a lot more money.

Also subscribed to runitonce elite membership recently and are currently looking through the PLO content. I havent looked at enough of them yet to give a fair assessment of the quality of it. But a lot of the content is old or really old so that I find quite bad as I expected a lot more fresh content. But then again there has been some eye openers already so Im sure I will benefit from the vids.

And some hands last two days.

This was quite and interesting hand I thought. Everything pre flop feels pretty standard except for the min raise. Not a very good flop where I would look to check fold to most bets. turn is obviously good, but also two flush draws out there and my hand is not gonna be the nuts on a lot of rivers. And when the villian to my right bets out I decide to try and push out everyone else from the pot and hope to isolate him. He ended up having the lowest hand in his range where he must assume hes dead to one flush draw. I had two kings aswell which made it a lot easier to push with the chance of not be in a split situation where the other guy is free rolling.

This hand I was confused to wheter the back door straight draws gave enough odds to call flop, but looking back at it the pot size bet was to big compared to stacks to call there. I do think my flush draw will be good in this situation a lot of the times, but its the pretty good back door straight that made me think I could justify a call. And then the turn is just amazing making it an easy all in on the turn. if the pot hadent been 3bet pre then I would definitely call pot on the flop.

Not a very interesting hand in it self. But this villain has been very active last 1-2 weeks and is around 40% vpip and plays extremely abc. Good hands = insta raise, semi good = insta check / call, bad hands = insta fold. So when he 4bet here I could not think it would be anything less then AAxx and was thinking if I could play this abit more tricky. But quickly realised he will insta pot any flop and many flops will be scary so reason to torture myself against another AAxx hand and just get it in pre flop and beg for jesus to take the wheel. Got quite supprised he didint have AA and then happy my hand survived the flip.

Only one really good session last few weeks to so hope to make a big score in the near future!

Been going pretty well last two weeks with only one session where I started playing a state of mind that made me feel like I shouldent even play before I started. Played bad that session and ran bad aswell ending with -134$. Played 15.3k hands so far for the month winning 374$. Only played 50 hours in the last two weeks which suprised me a little and gonna try get some more hands in to try and end the month with 120 hours played. Have a few nice hands Id like to share but not enough time as I write this so ill get to that in the following days instead.

One of the weaker hands to have UTG and I will kinda often just fold it in that position, but some times also limp. Good looking flop but with very limited redraws I didint want to make check raise or lead out but thought instead I would try and desguise my hand a little and hope for a blank turn. Got lucky and a douse comes of on the turn and I go for the planned check raise with villian paying of with a very weak hand.

Jumping to flop where the villian who check raises me I think hes making a very poor decision. I bet UTG and c-bet vs 3 opponents so he must really think im strong here. The villian is also quite tight so when he was tinking this long and hard about his decision I was starting to think he probably had 444. But in his position sticking it in here vs 2 others with just an over pair and Q high flush draw with no money invested is just gambling where he can only hope to best case scenario be in a coin flip. Its a mistake Ive done aswell when your hand looks really pretty preflop and then flop is kinda good but you know its not playing well in situations where the money goes into the middle.

got a trong hand to have in position and something I will 3 bet quite often in heads up situations. I chose to raise when its limped to me and on the flop one of the vilians donk bet and I had to chose between calling or raising. And often here I will pot bet it to balance my hands where I do it with draws and my made hands. But I also want to slow play some strong draws. And on the turn when I get the nuts and its checked to me I dont want to check in position against 2 other players, one of them is quite likely to have a flush aswell and the other might even sit there with a set. As it happend one of them turned a set and second nut flush so the hand kinda played itself.

Another UTG limp with a hand I have been very confused with as I originally thought it looked strong as a pre flop hand but then later started questioning it since I felt I was bleeding money with it. But some studying got my confidence back with playing these hands. We got to the flop 4 handed and the flop is pretty dry, but at the same time a lot of turns make a straight possible where I block 2 cards and also have a gut shot + back door flush to go with my hand. So im very happy here when the guy next to me bets pot after I check and then then another call behind him. Im so happy with my hand I even decide on a smaller raise to entise the button to go a long and get a bit confused about my hand strenght. And to my glad suprise he ended up going with one of the worst imaginable hands.

This play ended up working very well where I 4 bet minimum in an attempt to make it look like I was trying to isolate the short stack with out commiting to much money, and also to give me a chance to over shove if small SB calls and BB goes all in. SB ended up coming over the top because I think he saw my 4bet as kinda weak and fishy. And to make things better we were all blocking each other so it was basically only spades and diamonds I had to dodge. Great flop where they were in horrible shape vs my aces and flush draw.

Its felt great playing and I hope I am gaining extra gains by playing well and its not just variance being kind to me. But im playing a lot so I it will tell soon enough. If I remember correct then I was winning around 6BB/100 my first 100k hands so since I got a new PC starting over its gonna be fun to see how my next 100k hands will go. Atleast this time 100k hands wont take that long to get as I have been playing a lot more this year and will continue to do so.

BR at 1570$ and maybe its time to take it over 2k before Feburari is done and start sniffing the goal line of this challange!

Another good session even to variance wasent really on my side today and I ended up with a 72$ win. I was not aware how it was going as it felt quite slow and I went all in and lost thinking I had to be down a bit and updated my poker tracker which showed I was up over 50. And that has been something I have focused on more is winning the smal ones and also putting in far more smal value bets which actually went better then expected where I was in those spots where I should be beat a fair amount of times but today it was all good. A lot of those bets where also very smal and would not work all to great vs regs that would play back more often. But then again I am atleast alittle balanced there since I will sometimes also do it with the nuts when I think my oponents are weak and I want to tempt them into bluffing me.

Felt like a play that was a little to aggresive when not having the A high flush draw and going all in on the flop, but calling on the flop is not that great to since a heart or pairing the board would kill the action and which are also the cards im looking for. And since he truned out to have the nut straight which was the most likely thing I was still close to 70% favor.

Decided to call pre flop and try and hit a set vs two recreational players where I thought it would be fairly easy to get it in with a set on the flop or just get away when I miss. Flop was pretty perfect where I knew the 3better whould be more then happy to jam with AA and I went all in hoping SB would tag along with some kind of straight draw where I had two tens blocking. Small blind turned out to have a small wrap and luckily on the turn the board paired. And the original 3 better had the expected AAxx.

BR at 1640$ and hopefully I can keep this momentum up a bit longer!

Still going very well ending Februari with 962$+ in 90 hours of play. March has started of great aswell even to it looks like I might be able to play all that much with a short vacation coming up visiting family at a ski cabin up north in Sweden. And also some pretty bad excuses that will most likely keep me away from the tables, but I really hope I muster a decent play time before the month is over.

Think I played this hand quite well where the villain could have a lot of different hands, and I know he will never bluff or value bet worse then my hand. So I decided to go all in thinking im gonna be good a lot of the times and since I dont think he will ever bet worse but I do think he will call with a few worse combos it was quite an easy desicion to make.

This is a hand I would have played when starting playing omaha, but a few weeks ago I would have folded. Now after some studying im playing more lose and dont second guess myself as much as I do when I think I might be miss playing hands and just getting lucky. It has made it a lot more easy for me to pick up more pots and also get away from hands. This villain in BB is also a lose cannon that will fire away if you show any sign of weakness so getting into pots against him in position are very easily played.

Pretty standard defend of the big blind with a bad flop. Turn was a great card but with this board and no redraws I decided to just call with us being this deep. And if I raise on the turn he can call and bluff me away from often, even to I dont think he would normally bluff. River was also a great card and I did not think this villain would ever have anything worse then a full house here (and most likely with a pocket pair on hand) so I went for a call again. Its very tight but I dont think he would call a shove here, I also block the J making it less likely for him to have JJJ, but I would never bluff here as I play atm so it would be very obvious I have a full house here. Its a rare spot to be in and im okay with how I played it.

This hand was vs the same villain as mentioned in the first hand and again I go for the slow play on the flop with a set to give him the little nudge he needs to start bluffing. Good turn and the check raise will work against almost anything he has a that point after betting turn. Good river aswell and I would ofcourse have gone all in on any river but still a 6 feels safe which turned out to be wrong.

Pretty good spot to squeeze with a 3bet pre ready to fold vs UTG if he comes over the top. UTG folds and instead im up vs a short and deep stack on a flop that is not great for my hand, but at the same time looking at the SPR and the fact that my hand is blocking very well vs straight draws I thought this was an easy all in aswell. the K on the turn feels really good when it lands even to one straight got there, but im blocking one Q and worse case scenario I can still draw out on him if he made a straight, so a lot more worse turn cards then that. on the river it turns out I was good all the way but pairing that board sure feels good.

Anyway, running good and feeling good! BR at 2150$.

Only 10h of poker since last update here. still been running good even to one session ended up about break even after going down 150$ so felt very good to turn that session around to a small profit. Day after that I came out running winning over 200 within the first hour and after that it just went down and up again ending the session with a 178$ win. Day after that was a short session and again I was up over 200 right away but ended with 127+ in a 1 and a half hour session.

Had no time to play yesterday and it looks like I wont have time today or in the next few days either so that sucks a bit. BR at 2445$ so not many more sessions before the challange is complete if I can keep up this hot streak when I get time to play some again.

Back in action since more than a week. Did some gambling with a friend who wanted to try out the live casino thing and it was quite fun doing some full on degenerate gambling losing 1k $ last black jack hand betting 500 on two places getting 19 & 20 just to have the dealer making 21 recking us. Was up quite a bit for a while but as will happen the majority of times we lost in the end. Only lost 200$ in the end that left me a little further away from my goal.

Just did my first session of April as writing this ending +70after losing a few unfortunate ones. BR at 2710$ so now its getting really close to the finish line, I want to move up in stakes but and its gonna be interesting to see how it goes. Plan is to only play 50PLO after the challange is done and when I get the BR to 5k$ then im gonna start table selecting the 100PLO tables aswell.

Variance been fighting me last few days even I only got two losing sessions, one was looking quite grim with being down close to 300 before ending it with "only" 94$ down. Big reason for even ending up in the losing column was that I did not hold up in the big ones.

Main Pot [421.28 BB]: (Pre 36%, Flop 33%, Turn 21%)

SB wins 715.76 BB

Was suprised to see how good of a shape I was in when it went in and we blocked the board paring chances a lot and as long as there was no diamond I would atleast get the side pot to end up as a small winner.

Vs same villian who had very high 3bet % and was doing it all the time on the button. I decided to 4bet and check raise on almost all flops where I get a piece, and top pair with a flush draw + a decent back door straight I followed my plan and ran into a hand I did not want him to have.

Not the best turn and I was more afraid of small blind then button so I checked after sb to go for a free river which in most case would be bad. But instead button bet and sb only called, and I decided to shove thinking button wont have straight here that often and when he did I still had the chance to improve to a better straight and full house. And as it turned out it played out perfectly with SB folding giving up his 8$ he put in on the turn and I get it in vs button who drawing to a flush only. Didint end to good unfortunatley.

Cant enjoy these hands any where but on low stakes, you think it would be quads here every time, but its almost never. Its almost always 666, and honestly I dont know why, but so often here the other guy will just call my raise with quads if he has them. Like he wants to make sure the hand goes to show down and he can show of his quads.

BR at slightly over 2.6k atm with strugling in the begining of April, now time for a little rest before hopefully making a good session and move closer to the finish line.

Next session after last post didint go as hoped and ended up losing 73$. But today I also withdrew about 1k$ leaving my BR at on 1.5k. When I made the decision to withdraw that money I also decided to call this challange a fail. A bit unfortunate to call it quits so close to the goal, and at one point be less then 200 away from it. Was a fun to try it tho and just writing here has been very helpful for myself and especially starting this year I have improved quite a lot at the tables. That will definitly help me now when calling the challange a bust and next time im playing I will start with the 50PLO tables and taking shots the at the 100 tables aswell when I recognize its good action.

I hope someone out there got a laugh or found any type "insight" by reading anything in this thread. It was atleast fun for me writing here and also a good place to practise my english . Now I will keep playing and stalk other peoples threads instead and who knows maybe I find another challange to do in the future, one I will hopefully succeed next time!

So thanks to anyone who read or left an comment here And best of lucks the tabels (as long as it isent vs me)
