Im starting this post to keep myself on track this time and not to keep on self sabotaging my game. For the past couple years I have been playing MTT, and SNGMTT, with some descent results in live and online play. I have become very frustrated with my MTT game to the point that im going to start playing cash at the lower level and grind myself up the ladder.

Im starting this with $80 on two sites, im very familiar with playing on pokerstars and im also beginning to play on Titan Poker. My entry level that im starting on is going to be .02/.05NL. Later on today i'll be posting some goals that I would like to achieve as im playing and something that will definitely keep me on track.

Okay, so just did a little stretch to see how Titan Poker plays: these happen to be my thoughts. I ran the second nuts into the nuts twice in 3 minutes, AA on a ATT flop into TT, after going all in pre, then got it in with KK vs 33 pre flop and the guy hits running 3's to beat me. Just feeling unlucky at the moment, so im gonna take a walk.

Starting BR: $80
This session: $-17.22
Ending BR: $62.88

After another unsuccessful day at Titan Poker, decided to take down my BR from there and move it to Pokerstars. Running absolutely terrible on that site. Getting it with KK vs J8o all in pre vs someone who sees 65% of flop only for him to hit a house just disgusted me. Way forward will be grinding pokerstars.

Starting BR:$80
Now BR:$62.88
This session: -12.55
Ending BR:$50.33

Moving onto stars, GL all

Just got done playing 955 hands on stars. This was a session filled with ups and downs, but mostly downs until the last 200 hands when I picked up AA twice and got it all in pre. AA vs AJ and took down $4.37 and AA vs QQ and took down another $3.71. At this point i was even for the session, then came the dwonswing. Got 44 BU some one 3x raises from the UTG, theres a flat from MP3 and I flat. Thinking that if I hit a set could be good here, loose table plenty of fish. So the flop comes down QQ4, UTG checks, MP3 checks i make it 3/4pot, UTG shoves, MP3 reshoves and im sitting there dwelling a call. Finally do call and it's KK vs AA vs 44. K on the turn seals me up, and A on the river scoops the pot. Seeing how im massively tilted from flopping a house and losing to two over pairs in the same hand, ill be retiring from playing tonight.

Starting BR:$50.33
Session:$-11.88
Ending BR:$38.45

Haven't played any cash online for the past couple of days, which is a positive for me. Taking a few days off to clear my head from online. Did however play live tourneys for the past couple days with positive results. On Thursday finished 10th place. Last night played another live tourney and finished 4th place, and got a buy in into a deepstack tournament on Monday afternoon. Overall played well, made the right decisions all the way thru. Got down to 10BB shoved JJ (BU) and SB snaps me off with AQo, and A hits the turn for my 4th place finish. I was really pleased with my play overall not playing too many draws that would have cost me my tournament life. Taking tonight off as well from online, so might be back on this weekend or Monday night as it looks right now.

Keep your chin up mate - "it's just variance"!!

Stars is a tougher site than most, but you should be bale to win there by making the right decisions. If you can concentrate on doing that then the money will follow, but try not to be too results orientated and keep learning as you go.

Sounds like you're getting it in good though which is all you can do.

Maybe keep a note when you play of hands where you were lucky v's hands you got sucked out on. Variance will be less than you think I'm guessing.

Either way, congrats on the tourney play, and best of luck for the cash games! It's a long road, but you'll learn so much, and a lot that will help in tourneys too
