Just picked up PokerTracker4 and decided to post all my day-to-day winnings/losses to hold myself accountable and keep myself from tilting away all my money. Starting with $50 and trying to build my roll to $100,000 by around September of next year, when I will probably be returning to university.

All I've ever been able to do was crush micros for like 30BB/100 but was never able to move up in succession. Hopefully posting my results to 2+2 on a daily basis will allow me to hold myself accountable and help me reach my goals!

GL man. Although Bovada doesnt seem the best choice for grinding up from the micros since you can only 4 table.

I don't want to discourage you man but two things I've found

one: you literally don't beat the mircos for 30bb/100, I will prop you any amount you want 3-1 you cant do 20 over 40,000 hands. if you don't understand how important sample is you are very likely to fail.

second thing: low stakes bovada is a rake trap

that being said I wish you luck and I encourage you to update, study and grow as a player but reading the OP makes me feel like you have a much longer road ahead of you than you realize.

No, you're absolutely right about the first point. I don't think it's likely for anyone to actually 30BB/100 over a large spectrum at ANY stake, but I have found that I have typically been able to dominate my opponents fundamentally as well as psychologically at this stake from logging so many hands at this stake. Look forward to day 3 however, as you will see that variance can strike back hard.

As for your second point, I wouldnt go as far as to say it is a rake trap, but it certainly does pose an extra challenge. As long as I can make some money by the end of the day, I'm not complaining

Coolness. I've played a pretty dece bit on Bovada over the past 9 or so months so if you want to discuss anything related to player pools or strat you can PM me. I play almost exclusively Zone for now though and I'm assuming you play reg tables.

Sounds good man! I've been mainly playing reg tables and bust out the zone every once in a while. I feel like zone has a lot more variance. There was a brief period when I used to 4 table zone with 0.10/0.25 and 0.25/.5 with a $150 roll and managed to run it up to $450 in several days before losing it all, those were good times.

without a very strong read at such low stakes games I'm gonna almost always put in a 4th bet there with AA

a few reasons:

1) people don't 3bet to fold to one more bet normally, especially not weaker players.

2) your visibility is poor, you are likely to be OOP verses two players, knowing which textures to attack, give up on and call down on is gonna be a lot of guessing

8Qs hand seems unnecessary, these guys don't look like the type we want to 3bet bluff too often and if we do this is a poor hand - prefer suited ace or similar that flops better or blocks A or K
