Hi, in case you dont know me yet.. My name is Jordy. 20 years old living in the Netherlands.

I have been playing poker since i was 16 years old and like many others i was just donking away my money. There was a 'breaking point' in my career which was at 17 years old i think. Thats when i realized its either working hard on my game in order to win against some of the top regs (on my stakes) or just quit poker. I started playing cash at 2nl and fastly i had an amazing winrate of 12/bb100 over 100k+ sample hands. This all was after i watched some simple strategy videos and playing mostly ABC poker.

I managed to beat 5 & 10nl throughout the years with an okay winrate of something like 5/6bb/100 over a decent sample without any study (watching video's but not actuall study)

4 months ago i decided that i liked mtt's more then cash.. I loved the excitement it can give you when you ship something big. Eventhough i played like 400 mtt's in my entire life.. I went to search for a backer mainly for the reason i cannot really afford coaching and iknow about the financial swings mtt's can have, i could always give it a try. I searched on the 2+2 forums day and night but without succes. Then i saw on some topic that my current backer was still looking for horses and he is living in the Netherlands aswell. I decided to add him on Skype and just ask around if he wanted to start something with a fairly new guy to mtt's. He gave me the chance, and in return (obviously) me working hard on my game studying, watching video's, etc etc...

4 Months ago was when i signed a contract with him. 2 days later i shipped a 7.50 NLHE on pokerstars for about $800. Since then i shipped the $22 on partypoker 3 times for about $4k in total, and last Sunday i reached the final table of $7.50BB out of 6,6k entrants. Finished 7 for a nice prize of $450. Currently im in a $1300-$1500 downswing.

I work about 3/4 times on average on my game. Using HRC and currently learning how to work with cardrunnersev.

Since im looking to go pro, follow me in my ups and downs along the road..

I wanna give a shoutout to my current backer, for the trust in me eventhough i had no sample at all, it was a huge risk for him. Great guy, great personallity, great poker mind.

Im not sure yet if i wanna update this blog every day or several days a week.

Cheers!

Monday 16 Januari.

I had a conversation with my backer about my database. He told me i was playing in fields that were to big. Then we decided to play morning sessions (average entrants around 300-400 people and problaly a bit softer fields)

This morning was my first morning grind and i shipped the $22 on partypoker on my first morning grind. I also joined a study group made on 2+2 with 4 fulltime regs. As far as i've seen its a very active group and i hope i can learn alot from it.

I will be trying to work with CREV somewhere soon as i bought it last weekend. Hope that can bring my game to another level. Current winrate is 10.82bb/100 this month but running 5bb/100 under ev so im pretty happy about my winrate for now.

Gonna do some study and then enjoy my win.

Cheers everyone!

Seriously seeing some nice improvements after working quite hard on my game.

Hope the photo works. 5th in the $22 on party again for just over $170..

Got rivered with AK against AT for the chiplead pot, bit sad about that cause it was such a soft final table.. Oh well what can we do, we got it in with the best. Gonna be putting in some hours tonight at CREV and will be grinding tomorrow morning again.

Have a good night everyone.

Cheers!
