Day 16

Dear diary, I've had some really bad days in the past but never in my life I felt as worthless as today. I ruin everything I touch and anyone who cares about me ends up getting hurt. I can defend myself but the truth is I have nobody to blame for all of this but myself and only myself. And there's no hope for me anymore. I try to play some poker to feel better but the truth is: I don't enjoy this game anymore and no matter how solid I will try to play the result is the same. I can make a third best flush otf but the lucky donk will get a better one and slowplay it all the way to the river. It doesn't even make me angry, it's so expectable that I don't even care. My poker is just like my life. And as you can see on the graph below, I can't even say that I'm unlucky because I run way above the ev line. I'm the fishest of fishes.

Day 17

Dear diary, things are getting a little bit better. Today I was more productive but still haven't found time for poker. Played just a few hands on nl20 regular tables, can't call it a session but at least I can say I play everyday and have a little self discipline to do that.

Day 22

The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.
Confucius

Today I read quite a bit of Haaseb Quareshi's book, made nice volume and I like how I played so this week starts very well.
Beat: lost $40 on slots
Played reg tables of NL20, 4-6 tabling.

Some hands:

I love players who make plays like this in certain game flow. I "knew" he's shoving his whole 3b range vs my 4b before it acctually happened, so predictable

SB: $19.19 (96 bb)
BB: $36.19 (181 bb)
Hero (MP): $20 (100 bb)
CO: $24.80 (124 bb)

Day 23

Set your sights high, the higher the better. Expect the most wonderful things to happen, not in the future but right now. Realize that nothing is too good. Allow absolutely nothing to hamper you or hold you up in any way.
Eileen Caddy

I made solid volume today but I'm not too happy with it, I think I was able to play more hands than that. Overall my game was pretty bad. I was losing stacks in very stupid way in both sessions I played today.

Results:

First session - speed poker, mix of NL10 and NL5

Started very bad on nl5 tables, it was hard for me to become accustomed again to such a low limit after playing mostly nl20 lately.
I lost a couple of stacks playing ******ed but after some time I was able to play good and I think I ended the session with profit on both nl5 and nl10 tables.
Example of my ratarded play:

BB: $6.03 (120.6 bb)
UTG: $4.91 (98.2 bb)
MP: $4.87 (97.4 bb)
Hero (CO): $6.55 (131 bb)
BTN: $5.29 (105.8 bb)
SB: $2.61 (52.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A T
UTG raises to $0.17, MP folds, Hero calls $0.17, BTN calls $0.17, 2 folds

Flop: ($0.58) J J 7 (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $0.40, BTN calls $0.40, UTG folds

Turn: ($1.38) 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.96, Hero calls $0.96

River: ($3.30) A (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $3.76 and is all-in, Hero calls $3.76

Spoiler:
Results: $10.82 pot ($0.72 rake)
Final Board: J J 7 7 A
Hero mucked A T and lost (-$5.29 net)
BTN showed J K and won $10.10 ($4.81 net)

Second session - 6 reg tables of NL20

I would make a pretty nice profit if it wasn't for a couple of very badly played hands.
Lack of concentration costed me 150bb in this spot... I was putting villain on a flush draws while I didn't even notice how the board was connected... And of course I decided to make hero calls

CO: $17.81 (89 bb)
BTN: $29.47 (147.4 bb)
Hero (SB): $43.44 (217.2 bb)
BB: $9.69 (48.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K A
CO folds, BTN raises to $0.40, Hero raises to $1.20, BB folds, BTN calls $0.80

Flop: ($2.60) 8 Q 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.30, BTN raises to $4.80, Hero calls $3.50

Turn: ($12.20) T (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $8.40, Hero calls $8.40

River: ($29) 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $15.07 and is all-in, Hero calls $15.07

Spoiler:
Results: $59.14 pot ($2 rake)
Final Board: 8 Q 7 T 3
BTN showed J 9 and won $57.14 ($27.67 net)
Hero mucked K A and lost (-$29.47 net)

But I played some hands better of course. Below is the most optimal way to play this hand vs this fishy opponnent, pure perfefection on every street for real

CO: $19.47 (97.4 bb)
BTN: $30.57 (152.9 bb)
Hero (SB): $28.39 (142 bb)
BB: $71.25 (356.3 bb)
MP: $9.99 (49.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q A
MP folds, CO calls $0.20, BTN raises to $0.60, Hero calls $0.50, BB folds, CO calls $0.40

Flop: ($2) 7 A 8 (3 players)
Hero bets $1.40, CO calls $1.40, BTN folds

Turn: ($4.80) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $3.36, CO calls $3.36

River: ($11.52) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $5.76, Hero raises to $23.03 and is all-in, CO folds

Day 24

Reality is wrong. Dreams are for real.
Tupac Shakur

Not a great day, didn't leave my crib even for a moment. It would be alright
if I spend most of the time grinding but it wasn't the case. Well, at least I made a somewhat solid volume.
I'm not a tournament player at all but I'm planning to play some Micro Millions
events. Only non-holdem tournaments as I see myself as a tournament fish.
Events of other variants of poker are likely to have a lot players who don't
even know the rules of the games they're playing + it's my goal to study and
practice poker variants other than nl holdem. I picked tournaments, I'd like
to play:
18.07 21:30 MicroMillions-013: $3.30 Stud, $10K Gtd
19.07 10:00 MicroMillions-017: $3.30 PL Badugi, $5K Gtd
19.07 18:00 MicroMillions-021: $3.30 PL Omaha [6-Max, Turbo], $15K Gtd
20.07 4:00 MicroMillions-025: $3.30 NL Hold'em [Ante Up], $10K Gtd (ante up is a little differnt than regular nl holdem tournaments and it requires a little bit different strategy)
20.07 18:00 MicroMillions-031: $3.30 Stud Hi/Lo, $10K Gtd
21.07 14:30 MicroMillions-039: $3.30 8-Game, $5K Gtd
22.07 14:30 MicroMillions-048: $3.30 PL Omaha Hi/Lo, $10K Gtd
22.07 17:30 MicroMillions-049: $8.80 HORSE, $15K Gtd
23.07 4:00 MicroMillions-053: $3.30 NL Omaha [6-Max, Re-Entry], $10K Gtd
23.07 12:00 MicroMillions-056: $5.50 NL Draw, $5K Gtd
23.07 19:00 MicroMillions-059: $3.30 FL Omaha Hi/Lo, $5K Gtd
24.07 19:00 MicroMillions-068: $3.30 PL 5-Card Omaha [6-Max], $5K Gtd
24.07 21:30 MicroMillions-069: $3.30 NL Single Draw 2-7, $5K Gtd
26.07 00:30 MicroMillions-079: $3.30 PL Courchevel, $5K Gtd
26.07 8:00 MicroMillions-081: $5.50 PL Omaha [6-Max], $5K Gtd
27.07 00:30 MicroMillions-089: $5.50 NL 5-Card Omaha Hi/Lo, $10K Gtd
27.07 8:00 MicroMillions-091: $5.50 Razz, $5K Gtd
Though I will only play those that I will find time to play, there is more
important stuff than donkaments. Preferably I will play them along with my regular cash games sessions.

Results:

First session: 4 reg nl20 tables and 3 nl10 speed poker tables

I ran super hot on nl10, alas contrary to nl20.

Some random moronic hand from this session:

BB: $3.90 (39 bb)
Hero (MP): $35.44 (354.4 bb)
CO: $10.38 (103.8 bb)
BTN: $8.79 (87.9 bb)
SB: $9.45 (94.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A J
Hero raises to $0.30, 2 folds, SB raises to $0.90, BB folds, Hero calls $0.60

Flop: ($1.90) Q 5 K (2 players)
SB bets $1.33, Hero calls $1.33

Turn: ($4.56) A (2 players)
SB bets $3.19, Hero calls $3.19

River: ($10.94) 7 (2 players)
SB bets $4.03 and is all-in, Hero calls $4.03

Spoiler:
Results: $19 pot ($1.26 rake)
Final Board: Q 5 K A 7
Hero mucked A J and lost (-$9.45 net)
SB showed A K and won $17.74 ($8.29 net)

Second session: 8 reg tables of nl20 and 3 nl10 speed poker tables

I'm not very used to handling so much action so I had to play on autopilot which was great because it gave me less room for creativity and as a result I made less ratarded plays than usually It seems like my red line suffered a bit tho.

Day 25

Why it's gotta be so damn hot? I can't grind in such conditions. Only played a few hands on nl20. Trying to make volume would be suicidal.
I have a few $2 mtt tickets on ps so I decided to look what can I play for them. Was surprised to see an ante up tournament with 500 gtd with only like 10 ppl registered 20 minutes before the start. Snap registered. Ante up is superior to normal nl holdem tournaments in every way. With 1 hour late reg. there wasn't even a gtd overlay I think. I didn't cash it but had fun playing it, it's funny to see so many ppl are braindead and never limp
Had no time to play micro millions stud event today. And I won't even play the badugi one even tho I was looking forward to it as they made it start in the morning just in time when I have my yoga class. Why does pokerstars puts less popular variants in such hours while they make those nl holdem donkaments in the best time of the day for everyone - evening. They promote poker as a massive 2 card lottery instead of showing that there is lots of different and more fun variants of poker. No wonder why poker is dying when the biggest site sucks so much.
Enjoyed playing just nl20 even tho I played badly and lost. Now I'm thinking if I should maybe play for the rest of the night and rest tomorrow as the weather is more survivable now.

Results:

It was just nl20 reg tables, 6 at once most of the time.

Day 26

Played till saturday morning, night is not a good time to play, traffic was very low, very few weak players. I felt like I was getting wrecked on nl20 so I decided to stick to this limit and not play any lower games anymore Now it's more competition like for me than it ever was. I want to prove everyone I'm a better poker player than them. I was trying to improve, find the best solutions for different situations against different opponnents.

Later in the saturday morning I started playing again. I was very unlucky, I know I well deserved to lose so much considering that I played very badly for a long time and was breaking even. But why variance had to catch up with me in time when I was improving and actually playing better. Had to go out so the session was left with pretty frustrating results.

Back in a few hours, grinding again. My luck stayed the same but I believe I played my best session ever on nl20. It was making me feel so hopeless, other players always had hands and I barely had any and when I had them I just ended up losing sets vs sets, flush vs bigger flush etc. I was disciplined enough to not make any bad calls even when there was a player who was raising my flop bets almost everytime but then I had to call him down with a tp tk and obviously he showed the nuts. I was scared I might end up losing so much that I'd need to stop playing this limit and because of my competitive approach it would be the worst thing ever. I felt I played very well so I wanted to stay and play for another night but at one point I got really scared of getting some kind of heart attack so I ate etizolam and went to sleep.

I hope to not play much today, rest more as I need to function normally in monday.

Played a good amount of hands. Not very concentrated tho, and not as focused on making the most optimal decisions as yesterday. Additionally I played a $2 donkament on side and suprisingly managed to cash it (whole $4.49!)

Results:

It's still just nl20 regular tables.

Day 28

Yesterday:
Good volume + I feel I played well. Here are the results:

I also played the 6-max micro millions event. 2nd hand: QQ vs AK all in pf and it was over for me ... Soo much fun

Overall weekly results:

Didn't accomplish my 20k hands goal but it wasn't very realistic from the beginning + I thought I will play mostly speed poker while I ended playing just regular tables.

Goals for the rest of the month:
- squeeze as much rb as possible
- try to live a healthier lifestyle
- buy some baller items with my bankroll money (obviously being able to play the limit I play or higher is more important)

At the end of the month I will have to review everything and I think I will get an idea if being a pro is something I can and want to be.

Day 29, 30 & 31

All that we are is the result of what we have thought: it is founded on our thoughts and made up of our thoughts. If a man speak or act with an evil thought, suffering follows him as the wheel follows the hoof of the beast that draws the wagon.... If a man speak or act with a good thought, happiness follows him like a shadow that never leaves him.
Gautama Buddha

I didn't update everyday either because I didn't want to waste time that I wanted to use for playing or because of my personal problems.

Generally I think it's going well for me. I can have a bad session from time to time or play in really bad state that make me do easy mistakes.

I still don't give up and continue with nl20

Thursday (just stopped playing this session):

Finally a graph that looks pretty good
Today I also discovered HU knockout tournments on ipoker and the competition is very soft so I played a few of them along my cash session. I don't like that it's turbo but I feel like reading oppenents/playing hu are the best parts of my game. Got some successes as well:

I already registered for tomorrow's micro millions courchevel event and I hope I will study basics of this variant and play it the best way I can.

Day 32 & 33

I had some of the nicest sessions in my life... But everything comes at a price
At least I'm still far from busto and I make rake all the time and that is my main goal for the rest of the month.

Results:

Friday:

It's mostly nl20 and some nl50 tables I decided to add. I even played on 1 or 2 nl100 tables and ran hot but this graph doesn't include results from nl100 because my small stakes hm2 doesn't track them. I got over 2 bi's from this limit. So overall my profit looked huge.
Also continued playing HU shootout tournaments and making profit with them.

Today:

Cash still seems fine. But in a zombie like state I lost more than I earned from those games. Started playing twister sng's just because I wanted to check how they work. At first I only had one such sng open along cash tables and it was all good, but then I was getting tired and started closing cash tables. Instead I played 3-4 10 euro twister sngs at once. Decided to take a break from playing and rest for an hour or two but I couldn't stop myself from playing those games, I was getting tilted, thought that I'm gonna make all the money I lost back just needed more twister sngs... When I stopped there wasn't any significant change in my br, after half of an hour I wanted to play again but this time I decided to play tournaments... Registered to all ipoker's tournaments within 2 hours. In mean time I continued my battle vs twister sngs. I even registered to a 20+20 rebuy +20 addon tournament so I effectively throwed 60 euros away just for the pleasure of seeing my QQ losing to some idiot's AQ after pf ai. Overall I don't know how much I lost... but I'm sure it was more than the money I made today playing cash.

Day 34

I feel tired of poker. When I wake up in the morning the thought of playing seemed so disgusting to me... But I didn't make any plans for today so I played few tables while doing other stuff at the same time. Every bad beat, cooler was making me angry like never before. And I still played a couple of twister sngs but didn't lose as much as yesterday.
I only need to pay in rake about 180 euro more to accomplish my goal. It's gonna be easy as I have 4 days left so I don't need to push my self too hard, just play a normal session a day. Of course there's more rb to get if I manage to somehow spend the rest of the month with nothing more than poker on my mind.

Day 35, 36, 37 & 38

I was too busy playing to update daily. Never played as much poker as in the last 4 days. Never played as high limits (up to nl100). It wasn't easy but considering money from rb and promotions it was totally worth it. I can now play nl50 with a safe br and live a semi-baller life for a while I didn't play very well, once I was totally drugged out and I was losing buyin after buyin on just one nl50 table. But my unconventional plays earned me a reputation of a fish so it's all good. Plus I feel like I improve a lot more by playing long sessions than by any type of studying away from tables so I don't feel bad about not doing the second lately.

Results:

Last 4 days:

Doesn't include nl100 hands. Honestly I have no idea how many hands I played there and what was my winrate.

July:

My goal for the month was 50k hands

Winrates bb/100 hands by stakes:
NL50 reg tables: 1.51
NL20 reg tables: -1.76
NL20 speed poker: -11.66
NL10 speed poker: 20.34
NL5 speed poker: -4.53
Most volume comes from NL20 reg tables (over 35k hands)

So I'm going to continue journey to baller life in august.

My new goals:
- develop more self discipline to play regular sessions
- try to switch to hu cash games starting from nl50
- by the end of the month my main stake is at least nl100
And that's enough

My poker is not getting better. I'm losing too much money on silly tournaments, sngs, just because I want to gamble And although drugs help me play more they don't make me play better, quite the contrary. So far this month I have a little profit from cash games (but dunno if I have it if I was able to include nl100). Running -13.65bb/100 after 2773 hands on nl50, 23.14bb/100 after 3561 hands on nl20. But I lost hella money on non cash games. Good thing I'm self excluded from casino on my main site

Day 48 & 49

Didn't play yesterday. Today played mostly nl20 with not so good results. Fortunately I was getting lucky in the big pots but lost a lot of small ones, that's why my red line is the way it is I think I made a few unnecessary bluffs, wasn't playing back enough vs opponnents' aggression.

Results:

I play a lot of hu shootout tournaments along my cash sessions so I decided to start keeping track of results:
BI/win or lose/prize:

Day 50

It's not going very well. I try to not play above nl20 to minimalize loses. My goal for the month is to become more self disciplined and play regulary. So at least I'm achieving it as I plan my sessions ahead and do some review after each. I wanted to switch to hu nl50 this month... gonna be hard considering how I run.

Results:

Yesterday's late night session:

It was a losing session unfortunately. I lost about a bi on nl100 which my hm2 doesn't track. Results displayed are from nl50 and nl20.

1st session today:

I played some speed poker along reg tables. Speed in general seems softer than regular ipoker tables. I'm still gonna play it only when I can't get enough good regular tables tho. I need volume. Above results are all from nl20 which is horrifying. I surely made a lot of mistakes

Didn't play a single hand between 16-18 Aug. Break was a good idea because I can see improvement in my game.
