Got to play poker with Orel Hershiser at the Venetian. Being a huge baseball fan I was pretty stoked, even though he played most of his career for the LA Dodgers which is the team I hate the most (SD Padre diehard fan.). He ended up being a pretty cool dude, cracking jokes and talking about the upcoming baseball season.

I remember seeing him years back playing poker on the NBC Heads Up tourney so it's rad he still plays poker. I was expecting him to be a nitbox but he was actually playing pretty LAG, which was entertaining! He bled away about 800 buck during my short time at the table from paying people off an getting his bluffs called. Anyway, thought id share. Have a good weekend.

My condolences for being a Cubs fan, the curse is real

If I remember correctly he doubled me up when he decided to 3 bet massively with 97 and pot commit himself to my 4 bet shove with AK. We both flopped a pair, he turned a straight draw and he bricked the river!

My friend is in town from SD and we ended up going to some hole in the wall stripclub that I didn't even know existed. I ended up getting kicked out for getting caught taking pics of the girls on multiple occasions, its ok though, I've never really been a big strip club fan.

Your welcome.

Yah, Bartman proved the curse theory. My first 23 years was in the Chicago area and no way going to root for the Sox. Im not a hockey fan so things are bleak, but at least we have Cutler which will provide some pretty epic prop bet possibilities.

Nice 9 7 and

Thanks for getting kicked out for that pic, taking one for the team .

Welp, just got stacked in this $1100 hand as a 98% favorite, all in 3 ways on the flop...

Saint Patty's Day is finally over! Ended up going Downtown for dinner with some friends then walked around Fremont with what seemed like 25k of the dirtiest scumiest POS this horrible country has to offer! Makes me realize how much I hate the general public and especially the drunk general public, I also find it f**cking revolting how stupid and lazy some of these "street performers" are and how much stupid s&%t people will do for money. I respect the fact that they don't care what people think but my god have some god damn dignity! Anyway, it was actually a fun night, seeing some friends and eating some good food, but I couldn't wait to get home as I left my phone at home so I felt naked and the GF got pretty drunk so I was pretty over babysitting.

I've played three outta the last four days, but there hasn't been too many fun hands I can think of, besides the 3 way all in of flop with 98% equity that I lost, but I don't wanna relive that hand so I'll give you guys another on, in this addition of: WHAT THE F*%K WOULD YOU DO?!?

Wynn 1/3 500 max
7 of 9 people are sitting with 500+ and the table has been playing pretty aggro with lots of post flop raising and calling but not too many showdowns.
Effective stack in this hand is 400. UTG limps and it folds to Villain in MP and he makes it 15, button calls and SB calls. Hero defends BB with KJ

FLOP ($60):
KJ3

SB checks, Hero donks 45 and Villain quickly calls. Everyone else folds.

TURN ($150):
6

Hero leads again for 60. Villain tanks and calls.

RIVER ($270):
9

Hero checks and Villain tanks and goes all in, having hero covered. Hero stack on river is $280. Heros read on villain is that he is a younger, thinking and capable player who loves to overbet for thin-value and has doubled his stack with very little showdowns.

Knowing all that hero knows, WHAT THE F*%K WOULD YOU DO?!? with top two pair in this spot.

Spoiler:
Fun twist in this hand!

Hey MCB!
I'd prob call off here. He can be value betting worse than kj on river when checked to imo. It would be sick if the villain had 66 or 99 lol and sure he could have bunch of q-t as well considering your tiny bet on turn but I'd call off here. Damn with the quick call on flop and tank on turn, it screams missed Broadway draw to me or q-t and if the villain is capable of shoving river with air I'd pay off here.

Thanks for sharing 87900608, hope all is well!

The twist of this hand history was that I was actually the Villain and the Hero was some Asian lady that was playing super ABC. Her tiny bet on the turn is where I think she went wrong, along with her calling off her stack on the river. On the river, I'm never overbet shoving with anything less than any QT or complete air. Its a pretty tough spot for her but I don't think I'm bluffing enough on the river to make it profitable for her given the line she took is two pair a lot of the times.

Anyway, she called the river shove and I rolled over QT

I watch a lot of prison docs and they all say white men get bummed in jail.

Nh sir she definitely should be betting bigger on turn. I also think that shoving K-9+ here would be a profitable play in the long run due to many worse 2p combos and she's prob almost always leading river with a set. Terrible play on the lady's end just got setup through her bad bet on turn and continuing check on river. But even to a decent bet on turn you still have equity to peel so she would have lost her stack either way I think. I would have raised turn in your spot depending on the read I had but if you know she's strong and always calling peeling is better.
NH!

Nah, bubba didn't want anything to do with my hairy white ass.

You would probably enjoy shower time though, no curtains, so you'd probably be in heaven with all the wet man candy.

Thanks buddy, I also like just flatting on the turn since her line is telling me she is never folding to a turn raise, so I see no reason to bloat the pot until I bink river and worst case scenario if I brick, I lose the bare minimum with my combo draw.

Did you make it to SD yet?

Yes indeed. Just got here 2 days ago and enjoying the beautiful weather and city! Its a great place and decision for sure to come here and my wife loves it as well. We've been looking at some places yesterday and like the downtown area since we can walk to many places and easily accessible. Extra parking fees are pretty expensive tho since downtown
Planning on hitting up oceans11 for some plo today!

Awesome, glad you made it! Downtown is amazing if you can look past the horrible parking scenario. The GF and I hope to find a place Downtown when move back after the WSOP.

I'm glad you seem to be enjoying yourselves, I'll be back in a couple weeks, if you wanna meet up for a session or two and or grab a bite, let me know! Good luck today at Oceans, feel free to post any fun hands on my thread, I love talking PLO.

Yes for sure, also considered la jolla area but can't deal with that traffic
Yesterday only played for around an hour caught cold and was feeling sick so left. It was mostly old fellas limping tons pre and very rare pf action just mostly abc boring. Nothing too special lost a flip for a buyin and left.
It seems as they only run plo on Tuesday and Fridays in afternoon tho.
Are there any places that runs plo regularly?

Thanks!

Speaking of PLO! I was playing at Caesars the another day and a couple people at my NLH table were super jazzed on PLO and made the suggestion to turn our table into a 1-2-5 PLO/NLH mix, which everybody agreed too. OMG, probably the fishiest game I have ever been apart of. On multiple occasions during PLO orbits there was people check raising rivers with 7-10 high flushes on paired boards and other crap like that, which had me licking my chops. Unfortunately for me I was as card dead as I have ever been during that game and was only able to book a super tiny win. Oh well, I'll take it.

Currently I am in California until tomorrow morning, as I am moving all my crap from my Vegas house into my SD house (Vegas lease is up March 31st.) I was able to stop off at Commerce for a couple hours to meet a friend and grind at a pretty fun table for a nice little hourly last night. Saw a lady who looked like a old nitbox, spazz out and 4 bet shove JJ in a multiway flop of TT5 when the 3 bettor just called the OR C-Bet then back raised. Anyway, besides that entertain punt into oblivion there hasn't been any interesting hands lately, but I'm currently on a modest four session win streak which is good news. I hope everyone gets laid this week!

Commerce last night.

Meth is a hell of a drug! (November, 2007)

The cool winter evening started off innocent enough with my friend Barney and I watching the Chargers beat the Colts in a Sunday Night Football over at a nicer mexican restaurant in Carlsbad (our good friend was bartending.) By the time the game had ended we both were surprisingly sober and it was about the time were we needed to decide what we were gonna do next, we had a couple options and the most inviting one seemed to be driving all the way down to PB to meet some girls at Bar West. After a couple minutes, we decided that we would be PB bound and we payed our tab and were on our way.

About a half an hour later we had arrived at Bar West and we headed right for the main bar for a shot and a drink. We quickly and surprisingly ran into a lot of people we knew which was nice cuz everyone seemed like they wanted to do shots, which I took full advantage of! About 30 mins into being at BW I had already consumed enough shots to make me feel like I was Superman.

Around this time one of my FWB who I came to see (lets call her Supersoaker) whispers in my ear "lets go outside, I got some coke." I'm thinking in my head "oh sh*t, here we go!" but I quickly follow her outside to join in the festivities. One line ended up leading to what seemed like 15 and I was high a kite and feeling amazing. Supersoaker was hinting that she wanted to go home with me and at that time it seemed like a pretty good idea so we decided to make the 30 min drive back to my house in Encinitas all while being drunk and high as a kite, another great idea! I wasn't really worried about leaving Barney down in PB because he was the kind of guy that would always find a way home or in the drunk tank, I figured if he needed me then he would call. Anyway, somehow we made it to my house safely and quickly proceeded to go up to my room and continue the coke party like it was 1980.

For every two lines it seemed like we smoked two cigs and we were both feeling great. It was around this time that Supersoaker was getting the last of her stuff ready to snort on my bathroom countertop when I noticed that this batch seemed a little different then the previous ones. From what I remembered it looked like the color was a little off and was looking like light bluish white. My gut told me that this wasn't coke but I was so high that I didn't give a f*ck and snorted it anyway.

BOOOOOOM!!! After I did the last line of the funky stuff I was on a high that I hand never experienced before. I had so much damn energy and I couldn't stop talking, pacing back and forth and my heart felt like it was gonna beat right outta my chest. We tried smoking the last of the cigs to get me to calm down but nothing was working. I felt like a ****ing crackhead and 100x more high then I had every felt. By this time its about 5 am and Supersoaker is getting a little worried because I was still pacing back and forth unable to get ahold of this energy boost and crazy heartrate. She tells me to lay down and starts to give me a massage to calm to down and hopefully relax me to sleep but it doesn't work and I'm still wide awake laying in bed counting things on my ceiling.

It's now 6:30 am and Supersoaker's phone rings, oh no, its her boyfriend!!!! I hear him asking where she is and wondering why she never came home last night and she quickly lies and says she is at girlfriends house and she had to sleep her because her friend drank too much and got sick (she was such a good liar!) She freaks out after she hangs up the phone and begs me to drive her to her BF house. I didn't wanna do it but at the same time I wanted her gone since I was now starting to come down and starting to feel like sh*t. So I end up driving her home in Rancho Santa Fe, having to drop her off a couple blocks away so her BF didn't see me, all while I was looking and feeling like a complete pile of ****. I remember thinking to myself on the drive home that if I were to get pulled over, I would 100% get arrested as I looked like I hadn't slept in two weeks and my breath probably reeked of cocaine and cigs. I finally made it home and spent the rest of the day trying to fall asleep with no success, it was the worst day ever. So much anxiety going thru my whole body I wanted to die!

The next weekend I saw Supersoaker again and asked her WTF she gave me that night and she admitted the last thing we snorted that looked light bluish and white was METH! I was pissed but oh well, you live and you learn. I vowed to myself to never do meth again, as that was one of the worst nights of my live.

I've had 3 straight losing sessions following my super modest 4 session winning streak. This month has been pretty awful, I'm getting brutalized when I have a minimum 70% equity and monkeys are just blowing up with gutterballs vs my top two and set hands and just drilling the rivers! If this continues, I might snap and start flipping tables over, this damn nonsense has been happening for way too long now and I'm getting pissed at myself for not pursuing my 2015 goals. How the f*ck do I expect to reach 100k in 2015 tourney cashes when its almost April and I've only played two tourneys with $450 in cashes so far. Looks like I've gotta chill out on the cash grind for now and start getting into the tourney grind and prep for the long days of WSOP, gonna start by playing Mega Millions at the Bike. That tournament is probably one of the softest tournaments in the world and the prizepool is massive (250k for the win) so its a win-win, just gotta avoid a few thousands landmines (in the form of LA zoo's finest) in the process. Wish me luck .

Back on the winning side of things! I am also back in SD for a couple weeks, so today played a really short session today at Palomar. It was my first time playing there and I must say the action was great but some of the staff seemed like *******s and the place is tinier than an asian's penis after a swim in the Artic Ocean, but outside of that I recognized a couple regs from Oceans were playing, so it was cool to see some familiar faces. The place def has a lot of potential so I will be making this place my goto grind house for the next couple weeks. Anyone in SD who wants to grind, let me know and we can meet up and talk anything from Poker to Elephant Porn to Top Notch charcoal filtered Vodkas.

Only played about an hour today. Opened 6 times and won everytime on the turn or river. Defended my BB and or checked behind three times and won two of those times, with 99 and KQ. Nothing interested in any of my hands but I did see some funny suckouts today. Again, POKER ISN'T DEAD!

XOXOXO
