alright just wrapped up my year in terms of actively trying to make money. had my first ever 6fig profit year, but wont lie poker results have been pretty meh despite the strong start to the year. weirdly despite the volume i played i didnt manage to have close to any months where i made what i d expect to make on average. either i had massive breakout months or ran abysmally compared to the mean. o well not much to be done there. pretty happy with many of the things i could control tho. lets check out what goals i set myself at the start of this thread:
Quote:
[X] 4 sessions per week, 4 weeks a month, 100 mtts/ Session, 25$ abi or higher
didnt but ended the year playing triple the abi so my focus shifted somewhere around september. pretty happy with my volume given circumstance
Quote:
[ ] study once a week thoroughly
failed thispretty hard. started out strong but then very strongly fizzled out. mainly due to there pretty much being zero reason for it playing a low abi (first half pf the year ironically, where i did study) and then was in the habit of not studying when i shoulda (second half) this will change next year
pretty happy with my progress there. my focus wasnt as much to lose weight as it was putting on volume and getting stronger and i nailed this. went from around 50-60 kg on most of the compound exercizes i do to somewhere between 70-85 kg and have been able to increase my overall rep volume per session as well. slipped out of this routine in december party because i injured my back partly due to christmas but def going back to 3x gym/week when i get back from my trip to budapest
Quote:
[ ] paint a bunch of water color paintings and portraits
[ ] on average read one book a month
complete bust on both of these. legit did zero of that. did get through 3.5 audiobook versions of game of thrones but lol this is just terrible. but wont be forcing myself to do things i really dont have to do to advance in life so whatevs, just gotta make more realistic goals. did consume an unspeakable abount of knowledge wrt crypto for example in a pretty short space of time so my brain hasnt gone on total hiatus.
Quote:
[?] make sure I leave the house as much as possible in the colder times of the year (summer here is too awesome so it's easy)
did that towards the end of the year. started going for mcuh better breakfst food than last year, went to gym but started being very home bount around october especially socially, again unsure about how i did here but feel like i should go leave house more whihc with switching focus on crypto next year should be fairly easy to achieve
Quote:
[X] track and minimize my expenses while improving my habits cooking and otherwise
nailed this and suprisingly enjoyed this. nice to have a picture of what i spend how much money on. makes planning much easier. would recommend this to everybody!
very much enjoyed this year in all regards, while again i d say i made less than i both hoped and expected to make i wont complain about stumbling into crypto at what has def not been the worst time. travelled to a few nice places and those trips stick out as highlights for the year, got in shape and most importantly
I HAVE FINALLY QUIT SMOKING
cant stress enough how happy this has made me, last cig i smoked out of habit was on my birthday in july. i did endulge in about 4 cigs in the time since but dont count those as they were partly due to being in oversmoked rooms/drunk or whatever. def has improved my wellbeing in many many ways.
overall def happy with the year and look forward to whats to come. wont be making many goals yet as i ll have time to reflect on my trip to budapest but will likely have a new thread although i lll be updating that one more scacely than this one. many thanks to anybody who has dropped in and given this a read, love all u guys, happy new year everybody
