i never even tryed ( maybe once ) but was planning to tryhard when series finish in september
cheers bro.
as for how much i smoked and when, i def wasnt the biggest smoker, my gf who comes from a chainsmoking family was like 'you smoke??' when i announced i was quitting. i think i went through about half a pack per day on average for most of my smoking years. part of that is bc i lived with my family and was hiding the fact i smoked/had to leave everytime i did, part was that i never smoked inside the house. i ended up on balkonies etc during my poker breaks etc
as for tips.. i m no guru and i never rly followed anybody's advice. what all the times i tried to quit had in common was me gettign sick after another night of drinking coupled with way too many cigarettes. i always got this nasty cough that lasted for a full week or even more. getting that helps setting the mind to 'i rly dont wanna keep putting myself thru this nonsense' oftentimes i just ended up at another party or so smoking again.
the thing that was different now is that i didnt pick up reguar smoking form one of those parties again and got sick after two of those parties almost instantly the day after. so just multiple repeated 'quittings' with no time for the addiction to fully kick in again in between. so i guess jsut keep trying and eventuelly u ll get there. i def had many many weak moments so there s certainly many more effective ways of quitting but lettign urself slip back into it after one weak moment is the one thing u should avoid, as recommended by a fellow poster in this thread actually
thanks to whoever said that to me around last autumn, it helped a lot!
