never mind, you're a micro player that move up to mid stakes and this is enough to give myself a good kick in the ... to get back to the grind

haha we all gotta start somewhere right sad to think how much time i wasted being a fish. checked my account history on stars and tilt and looks like in the 2 yrs prior to 2012 i dropped 3k all with little deposits and donkaments. pretty sad to think of what i couldve done had i taken it more seriously sooner

update:

played my first session of the year yesterday and got my ass kicked rly bad. i talked to my backer and we decided its best to finish off my bonushunt on .fr before tackling the main challenge on .com for the remainder of the year. however i underestimated the amount of counteradjustments i d need to make in order to be profitable vs a pool that is pretty similar to zoom. by that i mean ppl play totally different than the pool on regular tables and being lag for sure is not the way to go. was kinda slow to realiz that and kept 3b bluffing only to get destroyed at showdown. i did run bad too but lol who cares i played pretty badly so will readjust. however most of today i will spend deleting all the trash i have on my laptop to make it run faster. uninstalling all the trashy programs i got and installing a new antivirus and organizing all the pics n music i have. pretty sic to see how much space i am occupying vs how much i actually need.

Spoiler:
think i deleted sth important as my laptop crashed just now haha

anywho here s the giraffe for yday (mixed nl10-nl50).

not sure about the exact grind schedule i will have in january as i m crashing at my gf's place while i m in berlin till end of jan so maybe volume will be below what i d hope it to be but from feb when i ll start sharing a place with a midstakes pro volume will be on top of the list!

gl all

GL sir.

Just wondering if theres a reason that your playing between 10nl and 50nl?

rather than sticking to 1 stake and taking shots every now and again.

Been playing some 10nl myself after cashing out last year from being rolled for 50nl, and i just couldnt handle the hands people were calling me down with, so had to move to SNG's.

thats all on the french version of pokerstars where without mixing limits i d be stuck for ages before i m done clearing that bonus. on ps.com i ll never eer mix limits (until i hit midstakes obv)

i put money on pokerstars.fr last month while travelling to france and i figured i d clear the bonus there first before moving back to and crushing nl50 on pokerstars.com

ahhh ok.

Didnt realise that there was different versions of Pokerstars in different countries.... probably why ive never seen a French person sat a table then!

Gl crushing 50nl then, i was playing FR Zoom there and found it quite easy, was a shame no one sits at the 100nl FR tables tho

Nice thread man, subbed!

How much do you charge for coaching?
What are your coaching sessions like?

I'm a struggling nl25 zoom 6-max player. I just moved up recently from nl10. I'm breakeven or so over a small sample (around 12k hands). But, I feel like I have some leaks in my game. My red line is horrendous and I have trouble playing from the blinds and playing OOP in general.

I've been working with blakk for a few months now and he has done wonders for my game. I signed up for the full package right away because I knew the ROI was going to be insane!

clearing your hdd has little to do with making a computer faster

Removing programs that run quietly in background definately going to help free resources and make computer run a bit better.

that's true, however, there's no need to actually remove the program, you could just disable it from running in the background which would do the same job

having more free space on your hdd doesn't make your computer faster

its been great fun working with you bro. My own game has improved a bunch from looking into another player's game so it works great both ways!

Fair point and tbh I m a computer noob so I did hope it would remove some of its lags it s had recently but even if it means my whole laptop is more organized and the desktop is empty it was worth it

As a result I ended up not grinding as I met my dad and after that hung out with some friends but will put in a session tomorrow and a big one on Sunday!

Sure but you'd be surprised what kind of trash bg programs I had and since I have little knowledge about computers that's what I landed on :

Found some gems while going through my hd too like some cool ebooks I totally forgot I had

Defragging your hdd is a must about once a quarter. You're computer doesn't use any logic when saving files to your hdd, so they get placed in totally random spots. A defrag brings them all together in one section of your hdd, therefore it takes less time to locate the files because it doesn't have to search all over hell and high water.

I believe barreling has a huge part of this as well.

meh youll get a break even/positive red line just by 3betting a lot and barreling which you obv have to bcos u cant just c/f flops.

Haha thx for subbing bro but my latest graph is a good example of why redline is by far not everything. The weaker your villains the higher your redline will go but if they station your barrels and spazz a bunch preflop all that will happen is a collapse in blue line (French Donks are different than .eu Donks)

Make sure your bluffs are done for a reason and not just cuz lol I had Axs

Yea I think I ll actually do this after this months grind is done.

And yes I would say barreling is a much bigger part than 3betting. The biggest part tho by far is hand reading and exploiting weak ranges to the max (thinvb, overbets for value when they are weak and stationy and you're nutted, overbet bluff when they re capped and horrible cards fall for their range, bluff raise good spots, squeeze, 4bbluff etc )

As I said if done just for the heck of it the blue line will implode so it's important to do it in good spots and keep showdown winnings up by valuebetting/ manipulating ranges in our favor as well

lol i didnt say 3bet and barrel off at every oppurtuntiy -.-

but u can definitely get a break even red line just by 3betting enough bcos unless ur terrible u shud be looking for spots to barrel/vbet thin anyway.

Sounds about right yea. I used to think its all about threebetting tho which it surely isnt

meh guess well agree to disagree, id put money on the fact that 99% of regs dont 3bet enough and there red line/WR could be massively improved by doing so.
