Guys I think we've already established I'm probably the best poker player to ever contribute to these forums, can we just leave it before other people start feeling bad.

I'm glad no one cares to read my thread, so I don't ever run into this sort of drama.

Get well soon bro! Lots of chicken soup and fluids, it'll be gone in no time.

FYI, I'm switching over to 6m for the remainder of this month to see how I fair at that format. I should be able to get about 8k hands in this week that we can review on Monday.

Even though YF was kidding about the whiskey (I think), he was actually right. My dad used to make me hot totties when I was younger. (Yes my dad gave me alcohol when I was young) They are pretty good, and make you feel a lot better. You can sub whiskey for bourbon.

Haha interesting. Would even try if I had any hard liquor here atm. Just had a glass of freshly self squeezed orange juice tho which was absolutely amazing

I was serious but it was meant in a light hearted manner. Whenever I have a cold, i drink alcohol and it always works.

I'm not a fan of bourbon but imagine it would have the same effect.

i got beer does that work too?

anybody have much experience playing irish poker? ftp has that since update and looks like a format that will attract fish a ton

Yes, beer also works.

I played a few hands earlier, game seems good, my first impressions were it should be soft because we have more oppurtunities to make hands to value bet.

I think it may even be fair to say it's like a lower variance version of omaha (we hit more flops but we have less outs when ai and so does our opponent).

think it deffo has much more of nlhe than it has of omaha given the important big decisions all play like nlhe but yea i think games should be decently soft here. might give that a shot at some point
blakkman08 - Grind up the Stakes in 2013 Quote
03-12-2013 , 04:18 PM
Hence why i said a lower variance form.

Have a vague recollection, years ago, of a mate and I 'inventing' that for a laugh after one smoke too many one evening (you know, when Crazy Pineapple isn't crazy enough).

Sadly no recollection whatsoever of any strat though haha.

Shall be having a dabble, no doubt.

I played a few hundred hands of 50NL Irish today, wasn't as donk infested as you might expect, really fun though and perfect for anyone who likes Omaha but isn't experienced enough to know the relative strength of hands.
