Interesting aren't they posting styles. Some like to pretend they are more knowledgeable and adept at poker (like myself) and some of us like to pretend were genuinely interested in every other poker players progress and constantly reinforce that notion (like yourself) ofc I'm partly having a bit of fun here it is your pg&c thread afterall so I should go fk myself. As far as the A5 hand goes I don't quite understand why everyone feels the need to tell you about it. I'm quite happy to know guys in my games structure hands that way (look I'm doing thar pompous posting style again) on a serious note good luck and I look forward to crossing paths at the tables #cowboy

sure they are posting styles but coming into someones thread (that is always just led in a diary type format with the occasional brag but never much strat and even less beef) and just being a douche shouting out to the world how awesome they are despite quite obviously not even being crushers themselves is just unneccessary. i dont come into their threads and call them out either nor do i intend to. jsut a little bit of respect isnt too much to ask imo

and obviously the neat side effect was that yall got to see how i play when i play my b-game not sure if i like that or not.

thanks man hope you ve been doing better since u quit posting and ur results show it too. see ya gl

i think i ll be playing MTTs on sundays from now on. I feel that i have proven myself as a patient capable MTT player this week as i have spent every one of my grind nights singletabling a deepish run for hours without making much in the way of mistakes. i think i ll be grinding those MTTs from my own wallet and gonna sell shares for roughly 60% at a markup i ll come up with during this week.

month at $5220 net for me after backer's part taken out

nice work, gratz on the bink

what do you mean by 60% markup if you don't mind me asking?

Is it that for eg. you buy into an MTT for $100, you sell someone 25% of your action for $30, or something like that?
blakkman08 - Grind up the Stakes in 2013 Quote

thanks mate

in a sense. i meant lets say i wanna sell shares for a total of $100 in buyins. i m gonna be looking to have 40% of this action hence i m selling $60 worth of action. the markup is the 'fee' i charge people for the work i am going to be doing with their investment. up until now i have never asked for markups but i believe i am at a point in my carreer where i can justify one. so say i d sell those $60 worth of action fot $70. $10 being the markup

ah I see. seems like a neat concept. how would you go about calculating the markup?

Not that I'll be needing this skill anytime soon?

dunno just come up with sth reasonable. fwiw i think the markup in said example is pretty close to what i think is justifiable at 1.166

Hey man. Been lurking a while. You seem like one of the good guys so gl. One question, why spend hours one-tabling? Seems less than optimal when you could just add a few cash tables. I'm guilty of doing this too and am trying to beat it out of myself so just wondering why.

So you give 60% action at $61.166?

Sorry for the noob questions lol

thanks man

today it was because i have just randomly gotten a massive cold and my head was absolutely hammering and i would never consider playing the limit i ve just recently moved up to and which requires amounts of focus i just couldnt summon at the time. also when i m having a deep run i really dont mind onetabling as i get a lot more in the way of timing or sizing tells on ppl which at the later stages of an mtt imo is a key to shipping a few smaller pots. example is a fish today hat two different open sizings that differed by 1 chip. one being a weak steal the other being nuts. hard to figure things like this out when i got cash tables open on the side.

another reason is that i am really not happy with my play in my most recent cash session so i ve planned to do a bunch of strat before i jump back into it which may well take a while depending on my throat/head.

cliffs: OP is a read player

I do however forsee myself playing cash on the side when i am 100% fit and focussed and not lolsick

haha no say you buy all the action i am selling for an imaginary $100 Mtt.

you would pay $70 for $60 worth of the ticket. i keep the $10 that you paid more as what is called the markup.

and lets say i cash for $200 i keep $80 of that and you get $120. the 1.1666 is the amount of markup. in this example $70/$60= 1.1666. in other words for x action you pay x*markup in this case 1.16666*xaction

Aren't you the guy who called out PlasticElephant in someone else's pg+c? Maybe not his thread but I don't see the difference.

yngwie,

Looks like they cleared the issues up and the discussion stopped. Not my thread ofc but i dont think blakk really wants it to continue. I don't really see what you're trying to achieve by making comments like that.

Just saying.

i think those two are hardly comparable as plastic came into urgnna's thread berating somebody who just tried to wrap his head around a concept. sure he wrapped his head around it pretty wrongly but the OP of said thread was encouraging posts of this nature so once again coming there having absolutely no business there and berating a player who did nothing wrong is ******ed. i voiced that opinion and maybe i was wrong in doing so however mr plastic was wrong-er
