Hi,

I disagree with the reasoning for raising turn and some other stuff but yea to keep things short getting to the river like that I won't be folding. We need something like 30% and I would discount TT and 88 based on his turnsizing. Sometimes these microplayers have topset and don't see what people could call them with when they bet big so they start by betting smaller with their topsets while when they have mid/btm sets they bet alot bigger.

So otr his line makes alot of sense with hands like QcJc and some of the time he'll have AcJc (even though is sizing is ****) or so but I wouldnt count on that as he would have to cbet a multiway pot which most people dont do on these limits.

So what seems very likely to me is QcJc and maybe KK. I would consider AK alot less likely as checkjamming river is so much worse than checkcalling. So yea I would give him like what.. 3combs of hands that have us beat maybe and since we need like 30% otr we only need 1.5 combs of AK which he can have in my opinion.

It's a bit of a gamble but I've coached a couple of players on 50NL who would have a similiar thoughtprocess on checkjamming river because they don't want to checkcall toptrips

I don't think folding is bad either

I think a case can be made for folding Pre as the fish is pretty short but I think it's ok given we re deep ish with OR and villains behind were not too squeezy.

Flop is fairly std and too dry to raise imo.

Turn I really don't like a raise here much as its tool horrid spot if we get jammed on which can happen given the number of draws out there. His sizing also is pretty indicative of either an induce with KK (much more so than TT or 88 cuz they have many many reasons to bet bigger) or a pretty weak hand I can get to fold on the river so I peel

River when checked to is obv a bet for value cuz AA AK KQ all probably Checkcall here. When he jams given our turn thoughts I think it's fair to discount most boats so his value range is: KK (1) AQcc (1) AJcc (1) aaaand that's almost it really but lets chuck in all TT combos for a total of 6 value combos. I really think this is a call here because there are so incredibly many hands villain can spazz here with. We only need him to bluff less than 3hands total here and looking at all the possible bluffing hands (AQ,AJ,QJ,Tx,small PP, spazz with AK) this is a call IMO

Spoiler:
villain showed 66

lol there's a slight difference between somebody who spazzes 3 streets with 66 multiway and an aggressive reg

I aggree with most of what you said I wouldn't give him TT anyways so yea I'd stick with the 3 combs. I would never ever expect this river to be checkjambluffd so I assume you can only look for combs that try to thin value like AK.

Our bettingrange otr isn't weak at all

Dont think people c/r the river when they hit a flush. Probably just barrel river anyway. So makes it even less combos.

BTW were you planning on raising all in on the river if he barreled again?
blakkman08 - Grind up the Stakes in 2013 Quote

Yea I think if he barrels he has me beat just about as often but is pukecalling AK pretty often hoping I have KQ or QJ type hands.

It is a pretty thin spot tho. Hmm

Given his small bet on the turn I think we can well discount boats leaving a bunch of air, Kx and a few mainly better flushes in his potential river betting range as well as KK obv. A jam otr may there fore be pretty thin as he could fold his trips and be left with a range of better hands only. Also any body tripling this kind of board is fairly polarized between nutz or air. Gotta run will think this thru later

Yea think riv is just a call here on the Kc that is. On most other cards that improve us it's obv a jam

abt the last hand u posted..i ussualy fold there all his value hands crushes as,the only reason i would be really suspicious to call is his turn sizing 1/2 bet doesnt make really sense to bet with sets like that there or even good draws,u should take advantage of this hand in the future and try to exploit his unbalanced turn sizings.also he seems to level himself if u slowplay hands till river.. gl w ur challenge!! im folowing!!

edit:now i saw that he c/r river...that even doesnt make sense at all..i think he would bet mostly there,im calling like 90%of the time there if he has it im taking a note there.

Been chilling over the weekend as it was my gf's last weekend in Berlin and my grandma s bay today so didnt play much at all. I did paint two more pics and cook some amazing new stuff and am looking to get back in the grind from wednesday on. Haven't played much volume this month but most has been quality volume which I am happy about.

I ll probably transition into playing regular 50nl fullring tables towards the weekend as I have tweaked my table selection methods a little which should help with the move up. Will possibly be starting my sessions at zoom tho. Will probly be playing very little 6m if any

Pics graphs wyc to follow

righty so i havent updated here in a dcent bit... mainly cuz there hasnt been all that much to update pokerwise. as I already expected i kinda didnt get to put in too much volume this month (since mid december) cuz I moved in with my gf who today hopped on a train to study a semester in Amsterdam. obv we ended up making the most of the time we had together and poker had to take a back seat.

I now am somewhat unsure as to where I will be living until the 7th of january but after that I have a place almost locked up here in berlin until the 24th. then I ll get on a bus to amsterdam, spend a week there and then fly out of that beautiful dutch city to MALTAAAAA. honestly cant wait for both. been to amsterdam a bunhc of times before and (despite having one of my worst up-to-date life experiences on mushrooms once) i still love the vibe that city has and now that i ve picked up my old hobby of painting i am sure i will have tons of great motives to chose from!

I shipped the deposit for my Maltese place as well today and am very fortunate to have met a fellow nl25/nl50 grinder with a spare room in the sickest (and cheapest) place i have ever seen. pix to follow but the guy is awesome and also a crazy mix of cutures like me (half indian half kenya-ian brit) so should be fun to cook with him!

pokerwise this month has been pretty meh wrt volume but i am happy about my game again which after the torture over at the french version can be considered somewhat a success. ran pretty gay at 50nl but such is life and i am pretty happy as to where my game is going forward. Also, in typical blakkman08esque fashion I am switching up my gameplan again haha. after grinding all of the following since december

(25nl fullring 24tbls, 50nl fullring 24tbls, 25nl zoom fullring 4tbls, 25nl 6max zoom 4tbls)

I have talked to my backer and we kinda agreed that (after also checkig my database) that the best course of action (as loleverbody has been telling me since last year haha) is very possibly to reduce the table count of regular tables and work on my moving up skills ie table select or as ppl like to call it bumhunt. call it whatever you like i actually think that this is one very important skill that ppl just dont like to apply because of their ego. but i like money so idgaf

Since i m grinding on a laptop that restricts my max table count to 9-12 and that would be pure death for me playing fullring so i will move to reg 6m tables and move the hell up as soon as i possibly can. I will try and actually stick with my goal of posting some of the most interesting hands i come across on a weekly basis (probably mondays) and also gonna try and not post too many daily graphs but mre like biweekly ones in an attempt to maybe try and not check my results too much myself.

I am easing back into my grind routine these days but since i am gonna spend most of today and tomorrow optimizing my tablescanturbo setup and watching BalugaWhale vids I likely wont be putting up too much volume so lets do a

***** January Recap *****

most of the ramblings about the month can be found above so lets skip to the funny pix and graphs etc right away.

I have painted again quite a bit which made me a much much happier person overall. Its funny how I just never bothered to pick up a pencil or a brush in over five years but when I did and was able to make other people around me happy with those paintings it really made me feel great about evrything again.

here is everything i have drawn/painted since december:

first three i made for my gf the last one i gave my grandma for her birthday

and i ve also improved my repertoire wrt cooking. ventured into thai/asian dishes recently with great success imo:

grandma's salmon soup with crème fraîche

Thai-style chicken teryiaki with bamboo baby corn and soy sprouts

shrimp zucchini risottp with mushrooms and cream

and our attempt at making green thai curry with red chillies lol. still delicious!

here s my measly volume january graph. 9.4evbb/100 overall. 10k hands of 50nl where i ran 6 BI below ev and rest 25nl where i ran 11 BI below ev. happy with my effort all things considered tho. cashed bout 700$ in bonusses as well so all good

food is enough savers but an obligatory for the bootylovers:

Did you mean Feb 7th? And the green thai curry looks awesome! My long time friend/boss(4 seperate jobs) has made this for me a few times. I love spicy food! Have you tried to make any Sushi?

haha dammed yea i meant february cant edit it anymore.

yea i love spicy food too so asian/thai stuff is the nuts for me to keep cooking! i put chillies in basically everything i make haha

dont like sushi much tbh! given my upbringing i am not a fan of expensive stuff so when i grew up all i saw wrt sushi is rid0nkulous $figures attached to it. i did try it a bunch of times and tbh just dont se how those prices are anywhere near appropriate. i like my fish/meat cooked at least in ome way shape or form too haha

I recently finished reading a version of Easy Game Volume 1 and it def has me thinking more about spots. I'm planning on starting up volume 2 very soon, but think I might reread Volume 1 first to make sure I have all those fundamentals figured out. It's a very good read and the only thing I don't really like about it is he jumps around to topics pretty randomly.

I know there is a new version out, but I'm not willing to drop $60 on it yet. Did you read an older version?

I read all three but dont have any saved on this pc sadly. 3rd edition obv is the nutz and likely a much better investment than many training sites nowadays
