beh lost a flip in that to bust in 29th.

was gonna make the weekly review today but decided to grind on my off day :flex:
so just gonna include today in the week:

[?] 7 hours of strategy - again, hard to put a number to this so for next week i ll change the seven into bunch like my other goals. i did watch a bunch of vids and talked a fair bit of strat with an *old* friend but pretty sure i didnt get to 7 hrs.

[ ] 3 workouts - embarrasingly i didnt even do a single one, again i d like to think because i was either dead on monday or hungover on thurs/saturday and decided to grind right away on all the other days after breakfast but gotta change this this week!!

[X] bunch of coaching

[ ] bunch of fruit and veg daily and NO junk food - huge fail here cuz was too tired to do shopping most of the week so ended up eating crap a lot of the time... gotta change!!!

[X] get sh*tfaced on the pubcrawl with fellow grinders with TR - went out twice and had great fun both times! met tons of awesome people and i believe i postedd pics so got both points done haha
so yea i failed most of these goals this week but i m not too disappointed since i had a great time and that balanced it out

however starting this week all the way until SCOOP ends i m gonna go into hardcore grindmode. i m think i wont skip any days during this time and do double digit hours on hopefully most of those. weekly goals therefore are:

[ ] 50+ hours of play
[ ] 3 workouts
[ ] bunch of strategy
[ ] bunch of coaching
[ ] bunch of fruit and veg daily and NO junk food

as for the poker, this week has gone pretty gay-ly I ve dropped almost $1k but i feel like i ve learned a little more with every single day i ve played
sadly whenever i got deep in anything there was this one hand so i had a ton of close spots with potential such as:

15/791 in $11cube- my only spew when deep - $3.8k ftw
8/2745 in $ 4.40 turbo - $ 1.8k ftw
16/1522 in $27 turbo KO $20k gtd - $5.1k ftw
8/291 in no gtd $27 tubo KO- $1.2k ftw
132/1307 and 105/2665 in Hot/Hotter $44

and a bunch of other final 3 table runs that didnt pan out. however i enjoy those things a lot so gonna keep grinding them hard and in order to be able to do this more effectively i ve decided to pick up my old staking deal which will allow me to play up to $55KOs/FOs as well as getting in a bunch of good value $109s and the milly/warmup. big at this point to my backer who is just the awesomest guy to ever play poker! !

i have devised a pretty solid schedule imo of a lot of regular speed donkaments as well as a bunch of 180s so really looking forward to getting in that volume and getting a few scores under my belt!

also, i would like to thank all the guys that have bought shares for any MTTs i ve played! i keep trying to play my very best game in every MTT i play but the variance in those is rough. I ll keep tryin tho

month to date MTTs only:

month to date 180s:

shoutout to chAAnt Jc and who has been absolutely beastmoding lately

heres to a successful week of SCOOPaments:

hottest elbow haha

Good to see you getting more into MTTs, congrats on the staking deal, sounds same as mine minus milly and warm up. gl with it

Could you give some advice on playing 180s aswell as MTTs, kinda thinking about starting to grind them a couple times a week to lower spending on MTTs. Is it hard to play both? Do you need to necessarily focus on 180 strategy to do well or is knowing MTTs enough to jump right in?

sup broooo

almost the same i guess
Spoiler:
but i have the sickest cut ever

umm tbh i m still new to the world of donaments so hard to tell as i ve basically been mixing both from the start. tbh i feel its easier to play the $4.50 180 regspeeds along any number of MTTs than it is to play turbo 180s but thats probly partly just me and partly me running like dogpoo in the turbos lol so take it fwiw.

as a decent MTTer you are pretty much guaranteed 80%+ roi in the $4.50s tho. yes tehy are that soft. as for 180 strat... just now ur ranges and be aggro as much as you can. go for thin spots too since its hard to get an equity advantage so take one when u see one. i guess thats the main difference from 180s to MTTs. in MTTs stack preservation is much more relevant than in 180s. i guess

so incredibly tilted atm its not even funny. i got 3handed in the MTT i seem to final table every other day ($11 3k gtd) and made the worst call ever to bust in third. i also knew it was bad but didnt take time to think about it so ******ed my head might explode.
ffs i just threw away chunks of equity...fml

anyway, today was the firdt time in seemingly weeks that we had food in the house. so had a few nice meals and felt much better. again, played really really well but just couldnt win the pots that mattered in the big MTTs. then out of the last 8 MTTs i had going i managed to FT 3 and was chipleader in the big $5.50 that had $2.4k ftw but misread the action and ended up calling off my stack in a really unneccessary spot. fml but was a long session and i was at 3 final tables there so i dont sweat that too much. then i made that horrendous call to bust in third and was left ITM in the SCOOP stud (lol) and headsup in that lolMTT ($4.40 2r1a that i also final table almost every day). flopped the nutflush vs twopair and got it in on the flop. was drawing dead on the turn and lost eventually but played well there at least. did get a bounty in the SCOOP-M superKO so despite not cashing that i didnt lose toooo much. ended up making a small profit for the day but so fkn tilted at myself for not focussing and making a disciplined fold.ffs

will focus a lot more tomorrow and reduce tbl count a little during peaktime. despite that massive fkup i actually am farily happy with my day today. kept my composure for most of it. guess it aint toooo bad but meh.

gnite all. inb4 big binkage tomorrow imo

and A5<AK cuz i m a ****** on bottom left vs guy on my right
and ******ed spazz to bust in 75th on top left

live and learn

today was meh. i feel like i played well for the most part however i underestimated how big the effect of two zoom MTTs would be and it was huge. i felt like i was 25tabling when i was in both so for about an hour i think my game slipped a bit. i will make sure this doesnt happen tomorrow where i ll play both low and medium versions of both MTTs. hopee to make a few day twos tomorrrow ae

as for results today sadly i couldnt get anything going in any of the numerous times i made a deep run. scores include:

276th in Big $55
144th in Big $8.80
76th in Hot $55
45th/4192 in saturday eliminator ($13k ftw )
39th in Hot $5.50
8th in the $11cubed ($2.7k ftw )

and lots and lots of other mincashes. anyway i guess i cant winem all and tomorrow s another day. think i broke about even today so nto too bad i guess.

shoutout to jjyykk and ginger who both have had pretty amazing saturdays

I know a 180 turbo takes about 2 hours. Is it double the time (4 hours) for a reg speed 180 sngo?

yup sounds about right. 4-4.5 hrs for each to complete plus they never run (maybe like 4x an hour at peak time) but man they re worth the wait!

amen my friend! was fun playing the f2tables w u in what from now on i ll be referring to as teh blakkman-ament

made the final table of that $11 $3k gtd thing again (th time this month?) and was in an awesome chipposition rly until i got in 40 bigs vs the only guy that covered me by like 1 bb (i jammed he called off) and lost a fkn HUGE flip for 1.1mm chips and a massive lead over the rest of the field. busted 8th sadly but feel i played extremely well and focussed throughout the whole day today. had not much in the way of other cashes really but kept building up good stacks and got it in well all along which is about all that i can do right?

went on an insane ehater in that $215 sunday Wu scoop event and had 120k chips at avg stack being 35k or sth silly but then shortly b4 the bubble i started running icecold in table draws. at every table i sat at i had an aggressive bigstack on my left and one of those rigged tbls didnt break for 5 hrs straight. kept my head above water till day 2 tho which i ll enter with about 14bb. lots of work to do tomorrow but really pumped i made it through!
