5knl zoom in the lobby. stars is purely amazing.

this week has been pretty sick in terms of new formats/structures implemented. 20bb HUcap is sweet to ease the pressure from the HUhyper lobbies and 5knl zoom should be great to help solving some of the bumhunting problems in HSNL.

feels good to be playing on a site that improves the overall games all the time

sucks to play poker for a living and not be able to do a little math for the link above... pretty awesome how sth i took a full hour to try and set up nicely i can mess up like this

Yea, that's pretty awesome of him. I've followed live@pompei for a long while. Pretty epic how he was in debt, with a $1.5k BR at the beginning of 2012 and turned that into sth like 160k+

so yea i did book my best table profits cash game day today but i m pretty sad i didnt go for more in the end. it did have other reasons than booking a win tho and i will list them:

-today i decided to go back to my old 'short session short review' routine to possibly maintain my A+game while playing. what this has resulted in is about 30(!!!!) marked hands and tons of discussion in my study group
-I had a few donkaments going so i kinda just played those for a few hours but bricked everything today. absolutely love zoom MTTs tho! hope they make a lowstakes sunday major in that format. maybe Saturday. pleaaaaaaase stars
-I did a video review session today

overall i played a total of four 30min sessions today all of which i think i have played well in (ran like usain obv). only one mistake that was bigger than 20bb and few mistakes smaller than that though so i ll grade myself a solid A. feeling good playing 100nl

will try and to 5 45min sessions tomorrow and ultimately do 5-6 1 hour sessions soon. i m in no rush tho. quality>quantity for me

Zoom mtts are bad for everyone but fish and they will ruin the game if they offer a lot of them :P

MTTs are a fishfest so whats problem?

black, what would you say is the number 1 reason you have been successful? i remember about a year ago you were playing nl10 and couldn't beat nl25. how do you study and what do you study? i just go over losing hands, maybe plug in ranges in pokerstove, and take notes on opponents. surely you are doing something different?

Thx for the nice words man. As you asked for specifically what I do differently myself I m gonna be pretty honest:

Not enough. I should do more for my note taking as it sucks I also should do tons more of game theory work but as of now I literally have no clue about gto. What I do well is both figure out what video makers are capable players and then just got through tons of vids without a break inhaling the applicable stuff and discarding stuff I disagree with. I would say this coupled with doing TONS of discussion in my Skype group have helped me get where I am today.

Dont agree on the zoom part. Now the impatient fish will play k8o in mp. With zoom tourneys they fast fold to a hand which is legit to play with..

sure so zoom fields will be slightly less fishy. doesnt change the other mtt fields tho does it?
