^^ ok then best of luck brooooo

Might have to adjust that yearly painting goal. Really starting to enjoy it again:

Also went to the helmut newton foundation to see an exhibition of a ton of one of the most famous 'Berliner' photographers' works. Impressive stuff. Then watched tarantinos django yday and cooked an amazing salmon soup. Would count yesterday as a pretty successful day overall. Chillin with friends today then gonna hit the tables hard for the next two weeks starting tomorrow. Gla

Awesome work dude! That painting looks amazing, takes some mad skills to do that ****.

What did you think of Django? I heard speculation of it being as good as Pulp Fiction.

Many thanks bro its funny how I haven't 'felt it' in ages and now this just comes naturally like I never forgot how I do it. Took me just over two hours too. The power of inspiration I guess

Django was amazing. I burst into loud laughter in the very first scene and never quit, the story was great there were many turning points and it was just like we ve gotten used to from Tarantino in his previous works, just a lot funnier cuz christof waltz is such a sick good actor!

Deffo recommending!

Yea, Tarantino made Christof a superstar. He is an incredible actor(him in Inglorious Basterds blew my mind) and it is so cool how Tarantino can find these people and bring out the best in them. Take Michael Madsen for instance. His filmography is a mile long, but he has only had two really stellar performances: Kill Bill and Resevoir Dogs, both Tarantino.

he sure did but Chrs for sure deserves a ton of credit too. very few actors are such geniusses as he is. he literally has nailed evry scene i ve seen him in in whatever movie

i agree tho, tarantino's movies tend to bring out the best out of everybody (tho i hated kill bill )

thanks bro. tbh i think i get more satisfaction out of giving my paintings to dear ones as a present than collecting a few $$$ for them.

update:

played my first semi full day this year (i think? ) gf is fulltime working this week so i ve decided to go HAM on dem zoom tables and started mixing 3 tables of 50nl zoom and 3 tables of 25nl today. I like the volume and really feel like i played as well as i possibly could throughout the session. sadly i ran ridic bad at 50nl and not exactly great at 25nl to end up $200 below ev so far. sadly i m not used to looking at a screen for long periods anymore so i ll take a medium break and maybe grind more later. gonna look to put in at least 6k hands every day until and including friday

turns out i was just plain BAD last time i tried it. zooms so far seems to be ridic soft and regs all suck. i think last time my lagginess was centered around preflop play and i was generallynot exploiting people the way i should. now i feel like i m better postflop and since i can look at every single hand happennig most of my actions are more accurate even than on reg tables. we ll see how it goes but for now until i m fully established at 50nl i l lprobly stick with 6tabling zoom

well since regular tables are still juicer its not like i missed out on much last year. it is possible however that i autopiloted more by playing 20ish reg ables vs 4-6 zoom tables so hopefully i ll grow as a player faster now? we ll see

I tried Zoom for like 10k hands and haven't looked back. I love my table selection too much. You do make some good points about being able to see all hands at the same time but at Zoom you also don't get into situations where you're HUHU or 3handed with fish which is just huge EV.

But I'm glad that in a sense I don't have to see you at my regular tables so if you're enjoying the Zoom experience then by all means keep at it

I tend to only play Zoom at peak times because there are just so many dopes that love to spew stacks. Otherwise its just a bit of a nit fest and you constantly run into the top of peoples ranges etc.

I see ur point too tbh. However I can't (rather= haven't) profited from those situations anywhere close as u do simply cuz I ve been quitting tables when they get 5handed or less. As I said though I likely will remove my 25nl zoom tables in a few sessions/weeks and will add in reg 50nl tables instead so I guess we ll see each other more

I think long term wise you have a leg up on me tho as once we get to midstakes, HU will likely be a pretty significant part of a neccessary skillset. I do plan on learning HU cash at some point tho! (and I do have some HU experience as I played HUhypers)

Obv it becomes a lolnitfest but lolnitfests tend to be great for the redline and as long as you exploit nits by folding when they have it you shouldn't have too many problems. And I actually think reg tables are the better choice for peak times as that is the time when you can easily get a ton of Jesus seats. I would assume zoom is softer during off peak times? Maybe.

Fyp

Was gonna say something similar but I think my part of folding when they have it sums it up decently. Vs nits it really is pretty easy to play an exploitative game and crush their souls in nonSD winnings

why would you think any games are softer during off Peak times?

I play 6max 25nl and some 50nl, and i have to say that friday nights and weekends are by far softer than week days.
I find that you get a lot of people just taking a shot for fun and hitting the ZOOM tables for all the quick action.

Any reason why you dont play 6max Blakk?

Instead of 6 tabling the FR nitfest, im sure you could make higher $/hr 4tabling 6max, obvously if you dont adapt to 6max, then you wont, but im sure youll have no problems with it, with your previous poker xp

Well my assumption is that there are possibly more fish randomly jumping on some zoom tbls on an early Wednesday afternoon than there are fish sitting down on one reg table. Seems logical

Reason for not playing sixmax: I enjoy fullring more, I can play a much more exploitative style without anybody adjusting, and regs are by far worse which probly makes me the same hourly as sixmax does with probly less variance. I ll reconsider towards midstakes tho

I could see Zoom being softer than regular games at off times like hours where people are more likely on the train to work in the morning. If they play on the mobile client to get in a few hands on the way I think they would probably choose Zoom because of the fast fold move on to the next hand right away.

for 6max, this isnt really true, i see people adjusting much more than you give credit for, i often see 4bet folding too.... maybe thats when regs are adjusting to me personally, but they definitely dont just 4bet AA KK at 6max.

yea thats why my redline is going thru the roof at 25nl:

sadly 50nl regs seem to be better at havng more balanced ranges and respond more aggressively to my aggression so from tomorrow on i will only play 50nl and play a more in-line game myself.

yea i guess 6max nl25regs are about as good as fullring 50nl regs in terms of not bieng lolnits. however many many of those 'better' regs have horrible aggression leaks as in they are basically the polar opposite of the uNL nit and have ridonkulous 4bet stats and flop raise stats etc. will focus on exploiting that a bit more starting tomorrow!
