it was really beautiful there! not only new chums beach, the paradise like beach that was recommended to me by an old friend and can only be reached via a 20 minute hike over tons of rocks and forest- but the entire peninsula is very beautiful and the drive up to the village we stayed in was one of the nicest i ve ever taken!

got my tattooo today. kinda funny story actually, i saw a dude on one of my hikes with the illest tats so i asked him if he could sort me out with a number of the guy who made it. he did and after long convincing that i wasnt trolling i set an appointment for today. i get there and its a bit of a dodgy area of auckland city but whatever, the guy's tatoo pics on facebook looked legit so i knew he knew his craft and thats what maters afterall. so i get there and theres his massive dude, easily 120kg super tall full of tats but super friendly teddy bear looking, says ''heeey cuz comm in bruv'' in the strongest maori accent of laif. house is kinda big but also a little not looked after. whatever i m super excited to get to work and in comes this little kid who turns out to be his son and this lady who s apparently the mother of his kid. anyway all those first impressions aside he gets to work and starts sketching the tat right on my arm, obv tons of experience, has been doing this forever etc.

i ask him how long he s been doing this, he says 'foh yeez cuz', i go yea checks out.

so i ask how old he is.

Obv. Played a five hour sesh and lost because fired a Aussie millions satty. Declined a deal and got super crushed but also tbh couldn't be bothered. Grinding on a laptop is such a massive pain I have no idea how I used to do that for 12 hours straight
