so scoop has officially wrapped up. good news first: My buddy Azn1nvas1on whom i went out on le piss a ton in malta just chopped the medium main event headsup for mfkn 552k dollars. haha thats so insane, super happy for the guy, dont know many guys in poker who deserve this bink more than him.
bad news is that my graph is absolutely and utterly ruined.
but thats about all for the bad news, i m really looking forward to another about 5-6 weeks of solid grind while all the glory hunters are in vegas and then i ll allow myself a nice long summer holilday in spain. got a bnch of big plans lined up for the latter part of this year but i ll announce those as we approach them.
good news is that in my regular games i m still doing really well and i m looking to improve on the looks of this going forward.
the 2ks dont come along often enough to read much into them. every single bustout i had in them was a boring spot, and there were numerous pots i won that i wouldnt have even half a year ago. just still a bit sad that i couldnt manage better than 42nd, 44th, 43rd in this scoop but theres always wcoop innit
the very good news is that i feel i have made the jump to being a hsmtt reg. sure i ve gotten crushed but i think the main obstacle to overcome here is that mental barrier of playing a tournament that is worth what used to be a good month to me a couple years ago. i have taken thin spots in those like i feel i do in the big109 so this has been huge for me. excuse the massive ramblings in my latest couple posts, i m obv still digesting what has happened these last 2 weeks and trying to formulate some proper poker related goals going forward.
all in all i have lost pretty much exactly
17k$ this month including buying/selling action, rakeback etc which is whatever. my year is at
64k which is still decent 5 months in. not great obv but thats a solid foundation going into the summer grind
i thinkfor the grind days starting this sunday (maybe thursday) i will do a couple things
- play a slightly lower table count. i feel like at this point my hourly will not be helped by flicking in the odd 27 6m hyper. i will be playing an average buyin that requires a lot of focus and as such i might cut out a site or two to ensure i play super well all the time.
- play at the very least 4 days per week and review one day which entails at least 5 hours of solid strategy work. you will see me post a lot more hands than i have recently, i feel like this is something i have neglected for way too long
- LIVE. i have played super hard for a very long time, knowingly decreasing my time wit friends and family for a very long time. i will use this week but also both my scheduled off days to make sure i balance my grind with social life.
right that should be enough rambling. thanks for reading along guys there s some very big things incoming i m sure
