well I mean the simple maths of poker are not nearly enough to be a winning player hahaha, also you don't need to read many if any books for that

If you could apply math to poker, you wouldn't be so awful. Obviously the books don't help, at all.

lol This made me imagine someone shoving $1k effective blind at 2NL

You've got some legit issues OP.
I could put a monkey behind my pc, and he'd do better than you.

Then again, somewhere in the universe a monkey is writing Shakespeare. Nowhere in the universe would you be winning at poker though. Not with the strategies you keep posting.

There's plenty of help out there, but if you're not willing to accept that you need help ( both in poker and maybe a shrink or something ) you might as well stay ignorant and delusional, plenty of people tried already

Good luck though, hope you prove us all wrong !

I'm now 100% sure that 888 poker is hoax. Those suckouts are so bad and the card that helps really bad player comes from river.

This hand this massive opener folded to my earlier raise when I had aces, now he shoved light and what happened. This is typical situation on 888 poker. Worst ace wins. This didn't happen on party poker so often.

888Poker, Hold'em No Limit - $0.01/$0.02 - 5 players

F1nans (UTG): $2.00 (100 bb)
Paisting (CO): $2.08 (104 bb)
praktiker (BU): $1.17 (59 bb)
Victory_7071 (SB): $2.10 (105 bb)
GARALD84 (BB): $3.45 (173 bb)

Pre-Flop: ($0.03) Hero (Paisting) is CO with K A
F1nans (UTG) raises to $0.06, Paisting (CO) 3-bets to $0.24, 3 players fold, F1nans (UTG) 4-bets to $2 (all-in), Paisting (CO) calls $1.76

Flop: ($4.03) K T J (2 players, 1 all-in)

Turn: ($4.03) 4 (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($4.03) 4 (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: $4.03 (Rake: $0.25)

Showdown:
F1nans (UTG) shows Q A (a straight, Ten to Ace)
(Equity - Pre-Flop: 25%, Flop: 91%, Turn: 97%, River: 100%)

Paisting (CO) shows K A (two pair, Kings and Fours)
(Equity - Pre-Flop: 75%, Flop: 9%, Turn: 3%, River: 0%)

F1nans (UTG) wins $3.78

Usually when you flop 2 pairs of better on flop with over 100bb like 150bb or more they're calling you all the time and you're going to lose.

888Poker, Hold'em No Limit - $0.01/$0.02 - 5 players

geor954 (CO): $1.97 (99 bb)

Paisting (BB): $2.90 (145 bb)

Pre-Flop: ($0.03) Hero (Paisting) is BB with Q K
1 fold, geor954 (CO) calls $0.02, 1 fold, mishgan71 (SB) raises to $0.08, Paisting (BB) calls $0.06, 1 fold

Flop: ($0.18) Q K 8 (2 players)
mishgan71 (SB) bets $0.09, Paisting (BB) raises to $2.82 (all-in), mishgan71 (SB) calls $2.73

Turn: ($5.82) A (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($5.82) J (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: $5.82 (Rake: $0.36)

mishgan71 (SB) shows K A (two pair, Aces and Kings)
(Equity - Pre-Flop: 75%, Flop: 14%, Turn: 95%, River: 100%)

mishgan71 (SB) wins $5.46

I've been also playing those free ticket tournaments what they're giving and there almost every time worst hand wins. Yesterday there was 90/70 guy who pushed all in every hand in satellite tournament and won every hand. Like he pushed 72o against 4 players hands like AQ, AK. 88 etc seven on flop and 2 on river. He had massive stack and very likely got ticket to big tournament.

Turn: (9,401) 4 (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (9,401) J (2 players, 1 all-in)

Total pot: 9,401

Showdown:
Paisting (BB) shows 5 5 (three of a kind, Fives)
(Equity - Pre-Flop: 52%, Flop: 75%, Turn: 26%, River: 0%)

JDSLonestar (SB) shows 9 7 (a straight, Three to Seven)
(Equity - Pre-Flop: 48%, Flop: 25%, Turn: 74%, River: 100%)

After 43 tournaments my chip ev looks like this. No need to be a genius to understand what the site is doing. They want to give the impression that although they play with the **** they still wins and will come again. Compared to if I sometimes make the wrong assessment and call push with AQ and opponent has AK I don't win ever. Does anyone monitor poker sites legality? This is a very pathetic.

Well seems those f****** have an outdated if / else statement code there.

What if I told you they show to you that he won and take your money

And show to him that you won and take his money as well

double deuce, right? F*ck that tournament

Now, you'll tell me wait it's a tournament, the tables are public. Well, they just show that he busted a bit later for you and that he busted now for him and the rest of the people.

off to bull**** fantasy land we go.

"Random 2 **** cards" -> truth: ~30-50%
"He will call 100% of those hands" -> truth: vs. normal 3b size they will call ~50%, more if you pick a braindead size which commits them with ATC
"Also pot on flop is then smaller so they keep calling with any2" -> truth: they care about the size of your bet compared to the size of the pot, a concept that is obvious to almost every 2nl player but which apparently goes over your head after 10 years of "grinding".
These are verifiable statements. Mikael has years worth of database from his named opponents he is complaining about.

On a finnish forum he was instructed how to filter out his big starting hands.

NL2:

NL5:

That was 29.9.2018 and he still complained in this thread how his QQ are suck out most of the time.

His latest post included rant about Ax hands. No need to guess whether he has looked at his database.

Those hands was all played on party poker. I stopped playing there because their idiotic hand history block and made mistake move to put money in 888. 888 is something i've not seen in my over 10 years of playing.

And those free tournaments are just hoaxing starters to put real money in and think they can win. First there is limper or two who calls all your raises, like if you open pair of tens they call you on J92 board with 67o. Turn is K and if you barrel again they are calling. Then it's guessing game with your whole stack. You really can't do anything else but wait premiums and when those premiums don't came you try to put last chips in with better hand and then happens this. Have I talked about something about rivers?

Your problem comes from hands like the one posted below. Try to analyze it, see why you decide to do this, use your db , use your book knowledge and come to an honest conclusion. You make 2 major mistakes and 1 minor mistake in the hand below. Can you honestly point out which ones?

Look at the preflop equity of AQ vs AK: AQ will win 25% of the time. Our human minds are really poor at estimating probabilistic events and 25% in our mind becomes 75%. As suggested above look in your db and you'll see your monster hands will perform just as they are expected.
