Just pay up. Even better, let him get away with it Jason, its not gonna feel like a victory for him if we put it like that because exactly 2 guys seem to side with him. $500 isn´t worth this negativity to you.

Pads posting originally is definitely fine and good. Then accepting bet and subsequent aids was definitely bad.

Meanwhile, literally the only thing good about OP is that he won a bet. I mean flaming regs/ ego etc is one thing and can definitely be very funny, but sounding like a 12 year old child in every post and having a complete obsession with attacking people etc is a pretty poor quality to have/ is obviously not someone you'd want to have financial dealings with

I think you may have different definition of legit or respected people from the poker community. Respected people can't stay in shadow. If they are good friends of you I think you don't even have to request them to confirmed what you are saying. I do believe your intention was good, but you can't make assumptions on someone if you don't know him personally, sure if somene that you respect is telling something, you can assume it's truth, but create your final opinion only by yourself.
