I don't really see him value betting worse. Bet/fold might not be bad though. If you check it seems like you can find a fold to that sizing.

Around half pot blocker bet-fold. Good againts fish that don't know how to turn hands into bluffs and you still get value from worse.

Thanks for replies, regarding last hand I actually put him on some draw / very weak hand OTT, so figured I don't get any value from worse + have to fold vs shove so figured a check-call line would be more profitable.

His sizing on the river is the main point here I guess, def not folding to 63% pot-bet, but this huge has to be flush I guess..?

My general read of fish is that they like to bet whenever you go bet then check OOP also that they do it very depolarized. Fold to Cbet and VPIP are also very usefull in this situation. How fast did het bet is another factor. Its also a bit of a gutfeeling IMO.

If you have no meaningfull stats I think its a call (you only need to be right 30 percent of the times). I like betfolding 1/3 pot waay more.

that turn card is one of the worst to continue your bluf on

1. Hes not folding anything hes calling with OTF
2. You have no outs left vs his Jx
3. Now hes not shoving sets (now FH) OTT but CC with them making his range stronger

river I like if because you are repping a Flush and he can have almost no flushes because you have the A of hearts. You assume hes good so he could fold a ton of hands

Watched the results after I made the comment. Point 3 applies

Very weird flop for me, wasn't sure what to do, but decided that shoving wouldn't be a big mistake so... What's the optimal play here? bet smallish? check to induce?

In J8s hand, what is your value range for shoveing on this river? And do you ever check back when you have flush draw in this spot on flop?

Thanks

Interesting spot vs a good reg at the 200nl deep tables.

Table just broke up after fish left, and me and the reg carried on our play to see who sits-out first

Played about 50 hands, until next hand, after which he left his seat.

In vacuum in this depth and on this smallish sizing on wet board I would ussually go for a 3bet and shove turn, but here I figured my call will look super-weak, and that he'll bet most turns, and I would shove it happily vs his range.

As played, do we bet or check river (to induce a bluff from most of his missed range + some value bets by him), and if we bet, how do we react to a shove (Call/Fold)?

Don't think a good player is betting the river in this spot after he checks turn and c/r flop. Looks like he has showdown value or is giving up so bet seems good, not sure on sizing though.

Any plans to start playing higher soon?

Trying to make 6k from 200NL before moving up to 400NL with 5 BI to burn... Have to make 2 winning months in November+December in order to pay my taxes and not get into a Bank-Roll tilt..

Currently on 2.5K winnings for November, hope it will continue the same..

What about overbet shove the river OOP? Seems like you have a pretty laggy image and would be called by a fairly wide range.

Generally speaking I think his range by the river is somewhere around 70% air / 20% hands that are capable of hero-calling / 10% nuts ,

So over-bet shoving the river seems like a poor idea...

I live in Tel-Aviv, so missiles are less common around here... Prob something around 1 missile per day, and being the stupid-reasonable-f*ck I am, I'm not even stopping my grind when the alarm goes off...:}

My grandparents, who live in south of Israel, are having more troubles though (600 missiles were fired in 7 days, most of the dangerous ones were dropped-down by the missile-defence-system).

Generally speaking the people in Tel-Aviv didn't change their life-routine, at least the ones with no kids...
