Played a small session, but couldn't get much going. Seemed all my cbets were getting raised, all my marginal opens were getting 3b and all my value bets were getting folds.

Too spewy? I'm happy with the play, some villains should be able to find a fold at some point here, my range is v. strong to BBS this board and he shouldn't have any significant reads on me after ~80 hands. I think this line shoul be profitable if I have a clean image (I did).

Hey, just read through your thread. Generally you seem to be playing well but notably I think some of the hands are spew. I think you can effectively cut out these plays and your winrate will increase dramatically, there's no need for it. The hand above the 9 is a terrible card to shove on as it completes his straight combos, up to the river I think its wp.

I played alot of hands at 10nl and when I seen guys opening 25c I always 3bet to my standard size, or at least 90c with strong hands, otherwise they're just exploiting you. Generally for standard opens I'd raise 1.10 oop and 1$ ip.

The JJ hand vs the sb nit turn looks like a easy fold, all his worse pairs check back and hands that have you beat bet vs those type of opponents. Doubt Q10 is in his range there.

1010 hand vs the lag reg I'd probably just fold flop, given the turn I don't mind your shove though.

Yeah, I spew sometimes when OOP on rivers, probably need to swallow my pride and x/f a little more. Agree with your analysis of these hands, thanks for validating my concerns with the way I played some of these spots.

I had been wondering about 3b sizing vs smaller opens, I think I'll take on board what you say and go at least .90 even when they minraise. TY again, I can't overstate how much I appreciate feedback on the hands I post.

I think overall I played OK other than the spewtarded river shove vs the nuts. Which incidentally, didn't really tilt me. But I did end the session soon after, just in case.

Ran pretty poor all in all, no action on my big hands unless I was being outdrawn, lost flips in about 2:1 ratio.

Feel pretty good about the session all in all, not much more I could have done (other than not shove into nuts obv).

All of the above are surprisingly low. I thought I'd be running 21/19, 6%, 65%, which is my usual style. Small sample, I guess. We'll see what happens for the next 10k.

Quite happy with that, about standard for me.

BR is at $404, I have to collect about 200 more VPPs and I'll be able to grab about $150 in bonuses.

I'm fairly happy with this result, especially after my huge downswing before the challenge, but I think I can achieve a better W/R than this. I'm sure I can achieve 5bb/100 if I put my mind to it.

I think the AK hand is just obv a cooler. I don't mind 3betting but I'd make it a tad bigger. Sometimes as a rule of thumb I think its fine flatting AKo pre and playing flops even vs fish opens ip. Obv on this occasion nothing you could do. Saying that though as nitty as it sounds I`ll just call river alot. You've shown insane strength and hes still betting into you.

What's your steal percentage? I think it could be a little wider. I found the key to beating 10nl well was having around 27-30% and that would obv increase your pfr

I played a quick session on my laptop setup last night (I have Party on my lappy for brief Fastforward fish stomping sessions) and I noted that I play 21/19 w/38% steal on there, so I would guess it's probably around or approaching 30% on my PS desktop setup. Will confrim later when I get home. I do play a little more aggro on the fastpoker variants though, esp. in late position.

Short winning session, but i didn't play particularly well. I know I'm not playing my best when my redline slowly dribbles down like this. This is what happens when I autopilot and don't think enough about spots. Kinda ran bad too, wasn't getting any decent barrel cards and had to x/f a lot of turns.

It's nice that it was a winning session but I really think I pissed away half my profits by being weaktight. Meh. I picked things up toward the end but then had to cut the session short just as I was getting into the swing of things.

I'm seeing time and time again that you are posting graphs after each session, do you think this will help you stay orientated towards your decisions or will it instead make you focus on how much you have won or lost?

Posting a graph every 1000 hands or so will only reinforce money lost-won and doesn't tell us much about your decision making process.

I only look at my graphs once a month now and focus on my decision making.

In HEM, I have set up a "Hand Marking System" where I label hands as:

Bad Beats
Suckouts
Tilt/Mistake
Well Played by Hero
Needs Review

and I bring those hands up after the game and judge my decision making process on all of them. I do this instead of staring at my graph.

If I do look at stats before the month is over, it is usually my EV Adjusted WinRate and EV Net Won. However, I try to take these with a pinch of salt and combine them with my decision making on the key hands that I have marked.

If it helps you to focus and keeps you going, then do it and good luck with it. However, try to be aware of this focus on short-term results making you tilt (and it will eventually). Try to recognize it and resist it where possible.

Ok, update time!

Still doing pretty well, winrate around 4.5bb/100 but not running so well lately. Had a nice little heater recently, but then a little DS to bring me back to reality. I'm still convinced I can beat these games for 5-6bb.

Also had a little shot and added a couple of 16NL and 25NL tables into the mix, but have mostly stuck with 10NL.

Pretty much determined to go broke on flop but want to see "safe" turn card before shipping. Villain's value range contains exactly 2 hands so I don't see how I can ever fold (esp. when turn hits)
