Re: BEATING DAMN MICROS!!! Thats a goal i believe..

ok, this is a sensible starting point. Play good opening hands in position. I dont want to see you opening 46s UTG any more Ok?

And dont bother with the tournys for now, just 6max cash until you have got it sussed. you will know you have it when you have a steaady up direction on your graph.

remember to concentrate on getting your money in when you have the best hand and NOT paying your opponents off when you have only a pair and however unlikely it may seem that they drew to runner runner low straight - they did, let it go !

Good luck.

Good luck mate, love your non showdown line, most people don't manage to get it break-even at these microstakes. Thumbs up!

Once you get your leaks fixed you can stack or cascade your tables and play more on small screen.

Re: BEATING DAMN MICROS!!! Thats a goal i believe..

QQ hand: Before acting, think. What kind of fish is he? If he is a calling station and plays passive, maybe folding that flop should be better. On the other hand, if he is an aggressive maniac, you played correctly and get it in.

AA hand: Once again, focus on your opponent. Is he calling 4bets often? With no information, especially, after he checked that flop, I would bet for sure.

Just stop being results oriented and don't let your emotions overcome you. Stay calm. GL

Stop making fancy moves. Stop slowplaying. The only way for you to beat these stakes is to value bet value bet value bet. Don't bluff.

Sometimes it's working the slowplaying, against specific opponent.. And about fancy moves, when you got a nuts and push all they call you amazingly well at this stakes...

Correct shoving works perfect vs many opponents at these stakes. Nl5 is full of callingstation but also full of masstabling nits (probably from poor country's I assume) to which slowplaying can work pretty well.

If there's one lesson I'm learning at 10NL it's this: Whatever fold equity you think you have. Halve it. Then halve it again. Even against people running 21/19. Don't assume they have a brain.

Dude NL10 is one big nitfest nowadays, your fold equity idea only apply's to Nl2 and maybe NL5

not alot really, but in this case i shove top pair + top kicker knowing fish got a lower pair or flush draw(unlikely) i was sure he also going to call as this shove might looks like a bluff after i raised his limp, i was confident he is going to call with weaker hand + i was sure i am going to win it, just killed the fish.

iv seen you do it in a few HH either when its gone x/x x/x shove the river. Or you just cbet jam.

You losing so much money doing this, why do you think people will call you if u shove?

Also post some hand here, its the micro strategy forum.

based on theit play really, when you play with them u noticed and making notes by what you see, some calling all in with 2 pairs on 5 cards flush board, some with top pair on house or str8 board, this is all ppls mistakes and i did alot of this as well before, sometimes you think it looks like a bluff and really wanna call, remember the hand 49o vs my KJ with K on the flop it was x49Kx board i would never imagine he can have this his hud numbers where over xx hands 70/4 madness he calls alot and he calls with top pair or mid or even bot pair. I am doing mistakes, 49o vs my KJ i thought he might got a A9 like or K as well, but no kicker, nevermind, but it was my mistakes to think i got a best hand, because here is another example why, have a look on this hand, loads of those fish donks playing mtts for fun also playing diffrent stakes cash games and doing same stuff, thats why i shove against ppl like them, when i am sure and it was exactly the same thing like i only shoved AK though against exact person with same high VPIP number, just proper tilt donk playing 1 table and i wanted everything and str8 away from him, here is the hand i was talking about, almost similar they call without brain they think if they got top pair they are good to go:

PokerStars - $2+$0.20|50/100 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

BTN: 5,205.00
Hero (SB): 8,644.00
BB: 6,717.00
UTG: 2,095.00
MP: 6,816.00
CO: 1,125.00

Hero posts SB 50.00, BB posts BB 100.00

Pre Flop: (150.00) Hero has J K

fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 300.00, BB calls 200.00

Flop: (600.00, 2 players) 4 K 6
Hero bets 450.00, BB raises to 2,000.00, Hero raises to 8,344.00 and is all-in, BB calls 4,417.00 and is all-in

Turn: (13434.00, 2 players) T

River: (13434.00, 2 players) 9

Hero shows J K (One Pair, Kings) (PreFlop 74%, Flop 82%, Turn 93%)
BB shows K 5 (One Pair, Kings) (PreFlop 26%, Flop 18%, Turn 7%)
Hero wins 13,434.00

here is another hand i missplayed it really, but still, they will call a big river bet, even after my mistake, i dont know why i decided to check the turn, may be coz i wanted someone with weak ace to bet, or bluff then i push with the draw, i think i should have bet the turn here, so i might get more $ from another oponent, so defo a mistake by me but still, he thought his two pair is ok to call:

PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

MP: $5.07
Hero (CO): $4.86
BTN: $6.33
SB: $2.08
BB: $3.25
UTG: $5.00

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero has K A

fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.15, BTN calls $0.15, fold, BB calls $0.10

Flop: ($0.47, 3 players) 6 6 A
BB bets $0.15, Hero raises to $0.50, BTN calls $0.50, BB calls $0.35

Turn: ($1.97, 3 players) 2
BB checks, Hero checks, BTN checks

River: ($1.97, 3 players) 3
BB checks, Hero bets $1.41, BTN calls $1.41, fold

Hero shows K A (Flush, Ace High) (PreFlop 75%, Flop 82%, Turn 90%)
BTN shows A T (Two Pair, Aces and Sixes) (PreFlop 25%, Flop 18%, Turn 10%)
Hero wins $4.56

Re: BEATING DAMN MICROS!!! Thats a goal i believe..

why do you check the turn? you should be betting for value here, only a 6 is beating you, and he would reraise the flop if he had that.

You seem to be checking a lot of the time when you are very strong, such as the AA hand earlier v jj, if he has QQ or KK in that pot, its just a cooler, you have to bet the flop and turn, and then when K hits the river, your gonna be commited, so if he has QQ or KK, you got unlucky, but least you tried to get value.

and when you shove with the AK, $5 into a $.70 pot, i dont understand that, because nothing can call you, unless they certainly have you beat, so its kinda pointless, just betting for value would be better because you will have the best hand most times anyway
