I played a bit bad today, first missing a few good spots to bluff, I guess, and then overdoing it a bit (, I know).
WCOOP-bust was when I called of a 3-way all-in preflop with a doubled suited medium rundown in the 215$ PSKO, with the chance to get a KO, and to become chipleader on that table. I mean, had enough equity to call, not even including the 50$ KO and being chipleader at the table, but I didn't hit anything, and ofc had less than 40% chance to win, due to it being a 3way pot...Stuff like that, just PLO... Had a great table for the first 20 minutes, but then got switched after winning a big pot...
Lost two stacks in the 25-Game early on by forcing a double up in high variance variants, then made a 20k stack on my third buy-in, but it only went downhill from there.
Tomorrow, I will go to the gym tomorrow, and only play 2-3 games, if at all.
On Sunday, I'll ofc play a big session with around the 100€ PLO, the 109$ 10-Game, the 82$ PLO PSKO, and very likely also the Weekly 215$ HORSE, since it will likely be even softer during the WCOOP.
On Monday, I will play the 55$ 10-Game MFTOPS and the 20€ 1R1A PLO.
Tuesday will be off, and on Wednesday, I will win one of those braclets in the 320$ 8-Game.
I do feel okay with this WCOOP now, even after another losing day, since I am less stressed about the rest. Even if I shouldn't manage to bink smth in the HORSE or 8-Game WCOOP (or MFTOPS; both end on 20th for me), I will at least not be down too much money over this series.
Next year, I will maybe add the Stud Hi and NL 2-7 SD WCOOP events, since those games should offer better edges for me than smth like the 320$ PLO, which attracts a ****load of mid- and high-stakes regs, as I have seen this year. Don't get me wrong, I played lots of PLO deepstack ante 5c/10c-50c/1$ on PS 1-2 years ago, but my deepstack play is Rusty, and there is no big edge to have on current cash-game crushers, since they are all so aggro pre- and postflop that it just becomes a variance-fest. I also don't enjoy playing highstakes PLO MTT's even closely as much as Stud8 or Mixed events, and also prefer my MTT's to have less than 1000 players in a highstakes MTT to have more final-tables.
Here is an interesting hand, and maybe an example what I meant when I said I played bad today. I let you decide, and may not even be serious with every part I say
We are very deep, and I do a standard 3-bet preflop out of the BB with T986ts against the HJ-opener, who basically decides to annouce that he has Aces (or maybe AKKxds), and 4-bets, which gives me an easy call with my stone cold read of half of his hands, and more than 4:1 SPR left OTF.
Flop comes T43r, and I simply know that my 2-pair draw is very live against his AAxx-range, and instead of donk-potting like a noob, I decide to set up a turn-shove by betting 888 into 2020 - the asian lucky number, to durther confuse my opponent - so that we have an effective pot-size-bet left OTT, instead of simply potting into him, like an unexperienced PLO play might would want to do to steal it right there. Villain decides to tank-call his aces...
Turn comes a rainbow deuce, which could potenionally give Villain a suckerstraight with AA5x-hands (or AA56...), but the chance is way too low to back down here, since he would likely have shoved the flop, if his AAxx would have had any extra outs like a gutter here, while Villain must have to think of me having a rundown like 4567, 5678, 6789, 679T and such in my preflop 3bet/call-4bet-range, so I decide to do the only logical thing here, and trust my fold-equity (estimated 50%) plus two-pair draw plus trips draw (10 outs = rouhgly 21%), and pot to put him all-in. Villain folds.
