Nobody folds full houses lol... If you had called the flop and bet the turn, a number of better possible outcomes occur.
1) he calls the turn and then leads out the river, this is nearly always strength. Who the f*** check-calls to see a showdown and then bluffs out on the river. Very easy to just call the river when this happens. If you 3bet he either folds the bluff or has the nuts and puts the 4bet in so it would make no sense for you to 3bet there.
2) He reraises the turn to which you'd happily get the money in.
3) He check-calls the turn and checks the river (unlikely when he makes a boat but for all the Ax floats and other crap he can have, he'll likely check-call the river). Just bet for value. If he check-raises, now you cry, then still call but know that you probably still save a little money vs how you actually played it.
