Hi

I was thinking about starting to play online poker again. Main reasons are:
- I like poker
- Some extra cash would be nice, though need to build a roll first
- I have too much spare time after work/in weekends

This thread is to keep track of my results. English is not my first language so pardon in advance for any mistakes in words and/or syntax.

My first steps in online poker go back to 2008-2009. The last time I seriously played goes back to 2014-2015 I think.
I was never a very good poker player, mainly because I am (or was) very tilt sensitive and have (or had) problems sticking to proper bankroll management.
I have no idea about my all time results, but overall it's probably negative.

I have played everything from 6-max NLHE cash, hyper turbo SNGs, MTTs (mostly turbo and hyperturbo). The idea is to get started again with € 250,00 playing 6-max cashgames.
I came up with something like this: (stakes / minimum BR / 5 buy-in shot at higher stake from / move down stake when BR <)

2NL / 80 / - / -
5NL / 200 / 350 / 150
10NL / 400 / 875 / 300
25NL / 1000 / - / 750

Which means I will be starting at 5NL. Shotting 10NL from 350,00 and moving down to 2NL from 150,00.

I have an account at BWIN with two bonusses running as of yesterday.
One is a reload bonus which gives me 10% rakeback, to be cleared in 10 steps. I need to rake 2760 dollar in one month to fully clear the bonus which seems impossible. Maybe if I can get to 10NL, I can clear some steps.
The other one is the reward program where I'll probably get 20% rakeback.

I was trying to set up Pokertracker 4 yesterday, but it looks like I can't get handhistory files from BWIN anymore. So can't track my own progress on this site, let alone using a HUD. Of course I only found out after I signed up for the reload bonus... I hope they implement downloadable handhistories asap (I read somewhere they where trying for Q1 2020)

I will be 4-tableing 5NL Fast forward. The goal is to play 30 hours/month or between 20k - 25k hands/month. The main goal however is to not tilt and to stick to the BRM. No monetary goals, let's just see how it goes to start with.

If you have any questions or want to give advice, don't hesitate to post in here.

See you at the tables

Did a session yesterday, ended up being 4BI down.

Roll is now 250 dollar instead of euro.

Notes to self:
- don't 4 table for now, start with 2. It's been so long since I played online and I just can't keep up with the pace.
- stop being a calling station / learn when to fold
- keep it simple, play abc

Also mailed support to ask when handhistories gonna be available again so hoping for a positive answer very soon.

This is not going very well. For some reason the 5NL Fast forward wasn't running yesterday so I played some 10NL (2 tables).

BR went down from 250 to 210 dollar. Played better, but probably to loose at times. Lost two 400bb pots but didn't tilt me, so that's a positive.

Result since starting this thread: -$65.
Time played: 3-4 hours

Let's try again today.

If not used to deep play, try cashing out at 180 to 200+ bb. Can build roll faster that way. Focus on 100bb play.

Thanks for the advice. I will try this. It seems most of the time I get too loose when playing deep.

Recap since start of thread. Things aren't going my way. Too bad I can't check results as handhistories are still not available. I still haven't heard from support since I mailed them so they probably don't give a ****.

Roll is currently at $170. Started with $275 so I'm $105 down.
I will stick to 5NL for now. Just trying to play the best I can and hopefully then the results will change for the better.

I know it's not according to my initial plan but I will try to rebuild roll to $250 at 5NL and then try shotting 10NL again. I am 2-tabling for now so the variance should be a lot lesser.

By the way, is there a good pokerbook I can read which could help me going forward? Focussing on 6-max cashgames. I think I need to brush up my game.

I'll give this thread an update.

Stopped playing at bwin. Support saying I can't download my handhistory but instead I can check it on their website. Suffice to say I can't check progress this way so took my roll and started on Stars instead.

Didn't play poker too much. Probably some 40 hours since my last post in this thread.
BRM is a big lol yet somehow I managed to get my roll up to ± $500 as of now.

Playing a mix of MTTs, Hyper SNGs, Stars homegames with the lads , Zoom cash mostly 5NL & 10NL with some donkaments @50NL.

Although the MTTs aren't the biggest success, I really like to play them so I will continue doing that.

Also managed to get a sunday million ticket for the second time in a row. Last week didn't end to well altough I started very good and then donked it all away after a couple of beats.
Here's me hoping this time will be better
I will keep playing these sats and try and win another entry.

Roll: $ 493 (Sunday Millie ticket not included)
Have a day off work tomorrow so am planning to play whole day long, probably MTTs and some satties for the bigger tourneys on sunday.
