Re: That anonymous mtt pgc

Played 5 days since last update. To start with the positive: studied, started to play better, made the final table of a major, beated my biggest score ever by 200 bucks, got out of 99% of my downswing.

The sad news is that I got 6th where 1st was 32k. Had to nit it up hard because of stacksizes (and tbf, the money was huge for me), couldnt do a thing and when some shorties doubled with 30ish % equity I could feel the bust coming. Then I remembered crownupguys podcast and put up this nice vid:
Spoiler:

Which helped a little bit but I kept thinking: thats nice and all, but I need some luck right now.
I busted when I shoved over an open with 11.5 bigs and the guy who was pwning the table made the standard horrible burning money icm **** up call. Already had 2 10ths that day and a couple more 7th-12th the day before so was not in the best mood

But enough whining, things are looking good with basically zero make up, scoop is over so every gloryhunting reg is going to vegas and I have a lot of grind and money making incoming.

          Thnks man!

Played 2 days, won some on the first day so was nice to bank a little bit of money, got slaughtered the day after

Included some daily 100s where I'm def profitable in, hoping to not drop too much in them. Weird that I have that thought because when I play a 200/215 I really dont care about not cashing them, probably because the 100s are daily and smaller fields, so getting itm or final tabling them feels more possible and thus hurt more when I bust. The 200 majors are just yolo never gonna win them anyway. Will see how they go, maybe nit the *** out soon.

Studying a ton atm, happy with that. This week I've ran over 100 pf spots, got 1:15 hr of coaching (where I have to think so hard it hurts my brain) and reviewed a hs cashgamer's hh of a scoop bink together with that blakkman, which was eye opening obv, which took more than 6 hrs.

Cooked all the meals, cleaned the appartment, vamo weekend grind!

Cant sleep for **** so ill do a short update:

Played saturday and sunday, first day was good, made a couple decent final tables and deep runs, sadly I couldnt close any of them. Ended the day up 2kish so wasnt bad.
Sunday was the standard -50 buyins funday, had some day savers but didnt get there.

Looking at those finishes again it couldve been a huge weekend but what can you do.

          May graph:

In the end a solid month obv and very happy with pulling trough. Past 2-3 months have learned me a ton, ty downswing.

Gl all this month, hoping for lots of sunshine on and off the tables.

Long time no update, not much to say. Month going terribly, at -6.8kish. I'm losing on almost every site and every buyin. Nothing I do works, every squeeze gets cold 4bjammed on, every kk I 3bet an ace flops, every 3barrel gets snapped etc. BB/100 at an all time low and losing every hand deep in the big stuff. Reducing my table count and cutting out some low value games and just focussing on the good stuff and getting some study in, hope it will turn around.

          For the run good:

          Thnks!

          June:

Huge fail, not getting any scores besides the 6max bink. Bricking every 100/200 and only winning one medium mtt isnt gonna lead to profits obv. Whole month felt like they always had a better hand no matter what.

For the latter part of june and the 2 days of this month I played I felt like Ive been playing really well (and being on the right side of coolers) so results will come soon. Have a 9th, 13th in the 50r on party, 9th in the 50 6max and a 5th in the 100eu night on stars.fr this month so coming closer.

Make up (lol) at 6kish. Really longing back to the days where the most make up I had was 3k at 19 avg buyin and always snap got out of it in 2 weeks. Looked up sharkscope the other day for monthly results and have like 1 losing month in a 20month stretch before I added all kinds of majors and stuff, while not really making less money. Oh well lol std for the mtt schedule I'm playing right now.

I've been thinking about this a long time but never really pulled it off : I'm considering doing a couple hrs of coaching weekly. I'm thinking of micro/low stake players and cash game players looking to get better at mtts.

If anyone is interested in coaching (I'm thinking of micro/low or even struggling midstake players and cash game players looking to get better at mtts) for an affordable price, shoot me a pm. I've never formally coached anyone before but I've reviewed tons over the year with good players and they seem to respect my opinion so I'm sure I could help people out with becoming better mtt players.

          following, gl.

hard to find decent value coaches these days. have fun, seems like a road most midstakes+ players take at some point. imo it helps own game / overall confidence too and obv thinking about spots over and over + picking weaker player's thought processes helps.

Couldn't agree more. I think prices some coaches charge are too big in that aspect, everyone Ive talked to regarding coaching says it helped their own game a ton. Besides that the lower/midstake guys dont really hurt their bottom line when they coach someone because the player pool is so big. Different story for hs crushers and cash games.

Had a promising start yesterday, final tabling the big100 on .fr and a 20turbo but wasn't meant to be. Ended saving the day a little bit with a 3rd place in a small 5r where I raise/called off 22bbs with ajo vs the cl with 3rd having 8bbs, bit of a icm mess but Ive been going back and forth about how much I really should value icm. It's obv a very profitable call in terms of chip ev. Opnions seem to differ pretty hugely among mtt regs. Think I played alright overall, have a bit of a cold so wasnt 100% focused.

Just finished first coaching sess with OP was awesome. Ran over a deep run I had recently and looked at spots where I could improve, utilizing HUD, ICMIZER, etc. Made a ton of notes and got some changes I am looking forward to implementing in my next mtt session. Highly recommend to anyone looking to advance their game.

Thnks, happy to hear that. Fwiw, I didn't ask Mrtilt001 to post.

Played 2 shortish bowl sessions, basically broke even. Had several deep runs including an 11th in the Big33 and some small final tables.

Day off, then 2 days weekend grind.

Decent sunday. Had a sweat going with 4 ft's at the same time (2/2.5/5/7k ftw) and huge stacks, obv won the smallest where I got in as 8/9 or whatever and bricked the others. Recorded it so will be reviewing them today.

Last 50k hands bb/100 has gone up by 50%, lets keep it that way. Also logged off skype when I was on the ft's, I think it helped a lot with focussing. Will keep on doing that.

          Ty!

Played 2 days of C/B game tbh, took some bat**** bad lines and was very tired in general. Quit smoking last sunday so probably got something to do with that. So much + life ev in the long run though. Had some shots at scores but sadly teamcantclose was in action. Lost a little bit.

Have 5 grind days left in the month, been taking a lot of time off so need to get some games in. Have been reviewing and coaching a bunch so that's alright.

I take my 2+2 image very seriously m8.

July has come to and end! Between festivals/being sick/enjoying summer/studying/coaching I managed to play 540something mtts. Not all mtts from today are included, lost 380ish so whatever. Was a decent month. Played alright overall and had some shots at big money but messed up 1 or 2 hands and then couldn't convince the poker gods to give me the winning hands. Feels like whole year has been going that way but on the other hand, when does that feeling stop? When you bink 3 big109s in a row? Maybe. In the mean time I'm just gonna grind out the bowls and hopefully get to saving money again and then building up an own roll. We will see.

Had to get that shark in the pic obv.

              Some results since last update:

              partypoker - $100+$0|800/1600 NL - Holdem - 7 players
              Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

              UTG+1: 52,860
              MP: 34,059
              MP+1: 26,033
              CO: 22,359
              BTN: 15,335
              Hero (BB): 65,450
              UTG: 62,939

7 players post ante of 160, Hero posts BB 1,600

Pre Flop: (pot: 2,720) Hero has J K

fold, fold, fold, MP+1 raises to 3,200, fold, fold, Hero calls 1,600

              Flop: (7,520, 2 players) 5 J 4
              Hero checks, MP+1 checks

              Turn: (7,520, 2 players) Q
              Hero checks, MP+1 checks

              River: (7,520, 2 players) 3
Hero bets 3,200, MP+1 raises to 22,673 and is all-in, Hero calls 19,473

Hero shows J K (One Pair, Jacks)
              (Pre 41%, Flop 72%, Turn 84%)
              MP+1 shows 2 A (Straight, Five High)
              (Pre 59%, Flop 28%, Turn 16%)
              MP+1 wins 52,866

Ok. Gonna try and fold a bit more when people rep so small/thin/nuts whatever its called because they always have it anyway. I just come up with reasons why and how they could bluff in those spots but when I send the hands to people they usually go lol he can have xxxxxxx hands that beat you.

Goals for next month are gonna be 4x4x50 = 800 mtts. Also gonna hit the gym or do other exercise every day, have been slacking hard this past month and it makes me feel ****. Havent smoked now for 298hrs and that feels **** great. Still vaping with nicotine though.
