I wanted to create this thread with the purpose of helping me track my play beyond simply an excel spreadsheet. I make the majority of my income via poker, mainly at Arizona's Talking Stick Resort. I play mostly 2/3 and dip into the 3/5 when certain fish are playing for higher stakes. Not to sound like a cocky a**hole but I destroy the 2/3 games there. I feel as if I got to a point where I can play full time for a calendar year without losing my main focus, I believe I can profit an absurd amount in the range of ($75,000-$100,000) I know this sounds absolutely ridiculous, but the majority of players in AZ at this limit are abysmal.
Background:
- 25 yrs old, ASU Grad, Future Career in Sports Radio or Media Relations.
- $150k in Live MTT Earnings (Hendon Mob not 100% accurate)
- RunGood86 is my online username on Merge
A close buddy of mine and I were debating whether it was possible to accomplish such a feat, and I feel motivated to prove someone can win a big amount from ONLY 2/3 NLHE (1/2, 1/3 also included).
I also like to play the WSOP Circuit, and look forward to the AZ State Poker Championship in a month. I will reflect on my tournament results as well, but those results will not factor into my cash game goal.

Reason: wanted to organize text better
I have roughly a 10k roll at the moment, coming off a nice 30k score at the Planet Hollywood 100K GTD during the WSOP. I was in 10k of debt when I won the MTT, so I have new life again. I have never gone broke playing poker since I turned 22. Only from doing degenerate sh*t have I lost big rolls before. I'm going to quit my Part-Time job that has nothing to do with my future career in the upcoming month or 2 so I can take this thread as a serious challenge and obligation to myself to play solely poker for a year. Getting rid of my job will allow me to put in the hours and time necessary to give me a chance at reaching my goals for the next 365 days. Once I quit my job, I will begin the challenge and keep track of my profit on here.
By playing a full year I'll get an accurate idea of my hourly. I don't have a large enough sample of tracked data to figure out where I need to be to reach this goal. I basically go to the cash tables at Talking Stick Casino, try to win a full buy-in or 2 from opposing players, and consider my session a success. There's so much dead money in these games as you know.
I thought they didnt have NLH in AZ? hmmm, maybe I should start suffering through some live play (this is a perfect example of why you shouldnt try and swing your dick about how much its possible to make, Im gunna cut into your pofits )
It's a spread limit. Max bet / raise of $300 per action in 2/3 and $500 for 3/5. It plays like a NL and very seldom does a cap bet mess up the way a hand is played out.
Lots of promotions tonight so had 9 tbls of (2/3) to choose from. Right off bat got seated at the 1 tbl I wanted to be at most. I had a pretty easy time collecting chips.
Games are very soft at 2/3 at TS but the $6 rake with jp I don't see you being able to make 100k unless you put some sick hours in. I've noticed the stacks are usually less than 300 though.
