My basic goal is to play better cash game poker. I have played various games since around 2001 with some degree of success at small stakes live and on the internet.

I really want to specialise in cash games as I tired of SNGs a while ago. I still enjoy tournaments so I will still play some of those.

One of my biggest problems with internet poker is playing too much. So I'm going to impose some restrictions on myself. If I notice any of the following happening I'm going to stop playing and do something else.

1. I call when I know I'm beat.
2. I'm checking my account balance frequently and / or frequent player points, bonus release etc.
3. I open up a web browser.
4. I am interupted by a call / girlfriend wants to talk / door bell... whatever. It's break time. I won't play through.
5. I feel like opening up more than 2 tables.
6. I start to play too many hands against the table maniac without a good strategy.
7. 2 genuine bad beats in a row or loose 2 buy ins.

I'll also give myself a 2 hour session limit before I have to take a break of at least 20 minutes.

I'm currently at 25nl / 20nl depending on the site and I will stick there until I hit $1250 before moving to 50nl. I tried playing half stacked at 50nl before and it went ok but I think it hurt my full stacked game. So no more of that.

I'll post here as honestly as I can about how this plan goes.

I have $870 on PKR at the moment and $200 on the cake network.

I busted around $200 I had on Full Tilt playing 4 tables of Rush poker at nl25. But I have $87 rakeback coming to my acount today. I'll just cash that out I think.

I've already had one shot at nl50 wihout success... 4 tabled hit a couple of bad beats, tilted (on four tables) back to nl25.

Made a bit of a mistake on the last post my BR should have said $1100.

Just played an hour and a half session, 2 tables on 20NL.

I was going to post a hand where I think I made what is probably am obvious mistake but the cake hand history wont convert.

Here is the ugly version;

Seat 6: AlReid ($18.11 in chips)
Seat 8: Exec***8 ($11.35 in chips)
Seat 9: naru***9 ($18.10 in chips) DEALER
Seat 10: knja***10 ($20.13 in chips)
knja***10: posts small blind $0.10
AlReid: posts big blind $0.20
Dealt to AlReid [Js,Ks]
Exec***8: folds
naru***9: folds
knja***10: raises to $0.40
AlReid: raises to $1.20
knja***10: calls $0.80
*** FLOP *** [3c,9d,5d]
knja***10: checks
AlReid: bets $1.40
knja***10: calls $1.40
*** TURN *** [Jh]
knja***10: checks
AlReid: bets $2.80
knja***10: calls $2.80
*** RIVER *** [6d]
knja***10: bets $10.80
AlReid: calls $10.80
***SHOW DOWN***
knja***10: shows [7d 4d] (Flush, Nine high)
AlReid: mucks
knja***10: wins $30.78 with Flush, Nine high
AlReid: mucks [ Js, Ks ] (Pair)

Am I not betting enough on the turn or should I just be folding on the river? At the time I had no read on the guy.

BR: $1100.76 (I lost on the session but got $5 bonus release).

Well play wise I think I have improved. I read a fair bit in the uNL forum here and I think its helped alot.

I've stuck to playing short 1.5 - 2 hour sessions and booked 4 winning sessions.

I've not made any horrendous calls knowing I'm behind. Which is great. Just need to keep it up.

I've stuck to 2 tables for the most part but broke this rule on PKR. Due to the slower nature of the game there I can still play my game on 3 - 4 tables depending on the action.

Current BR: $1251.05.

I think I intended to move up to NL50 at his BR but I've re-evaluated that. I want to be really comfortable with moving up so I'll see if I can hit $1500 first.

I am running nearly bang on EV according to Holdem Manager though. Not sure how much to read into that.

I've managed to increase my win rate without showdown which has pleased me the most.

Your no showdown WR looked dismal based on the graph you posted. Typically this comes from not being nearly aggressive enough.

What type of style do you play? What is your VPiP and PFR look like, also 3B %?

This is full ring you play correct?

I'm playing both full ring and 6 max. Mostly 6 max.

I thought I was playing TAG but I wasn't double barrelling enough and thinking my opponents were trapping me too much.

At 25NL on PKR over the last 3 days 26.6% VPIP 18.9% PFR 3Bet 7.8% aggression 3.8.

I've been trying to up my aggression on the turn and river where appropriate over the last 3 days.

Looks pretty dead on for 6 max. I'm a FR player myself, but based on my 3Bet %, I think yours could be a little higher although I'm not very familiar with SH play.

Make sure to read through some of the feedback left by Pokey here. He offers some fantastic insight for 6-max uNL statistics.
