Hi guys ! I am just starting to learn English, before that there were 3 terrible years in poker when I was not motivated and didn’t do much, I lost a lot on the FTX (crypto exchange).
My limits used to be nl1-2k +5k shots, now I mainly play with a tight bankroll of nl500 and z200, I want to start my journey from scratch. The blog opened in order to practice English, I will be glad to discuss something. I use google translate

Streams are on pause, after 10 years of poker career it's hard for me to understand what I really need. So far, I play for the sake of money, I have developed a new strategy, which I have been planning for 3 years already, but did not dare to apply. The first 2 days feel good, let's see what happens next.

At the moment, a creative crisis, it is difficult to write something.

I really experienced a lot of difficulties over these 10 years of my career, in comparison with the top high-stakes players, only Enlight (Viktor Kudinov on GG) suffered more pain in poker than I did, but unlike him, I have long lost a dream for which I would like to fight .

I think that the best of the best do not become through effort.

And through pleasure.

And very few people can enjoy poker (reactionary players and the best of the best)
If you don't really enjoy poker, then there is no point in trying to be the best at it.

Therefore, at this stage, I live as best I can, because I have nothing else left.

Thanks you!

A lot of things in common, one of them: 100bi downswings. We used to work together on a game and then I decided to give up and he didn't.

I got into 2 strong downswings with a shortage of 40BI in ev and in fact from -80 to -100 (standard for regwars), I'm not one of those people who can calmly survive such swings, so I left the active grind for a long time.

At the moment, I notice myself that when I play only for the sake of money, I feel much better and calm, I will continue in the same spirit. I'll report back in a month.

Will definitely be following. I enjoyed battling with you at 2k tables for the year or so that we were both fighting on stars. I hope you regain your passion for the game because, in my opinion, one does not begin to battle with other top players for any reason other than enjoyment of competition and desire to push ones self. To see where their maximum level truly can be. Otherwise, we would all just be bumhunters. It would be easier mentally, emotionally and financially. But life is not about ease.

Good luck out there!

Nothing is more satisfying than working on a downswing game because I worked and didn't lose money.
If the downswing lasts for a long time, then I will have to work on the game for a very long time, otherwise I can become the best in the world. Why didn't I do this before?

Hey alex i wish you good luck on your journey had a similar experience also lost my roll with crypto. I noticed alot of us go trough challanging times at the moment but sure you will make it i respected your game always alot.
Bigger the challange bigger is the opportunity to grow so in some perspective it is a blessing because it forces us to realy get our full potential a comfortable and smooth journey does not do that. We are free to choose our perspectives on situations i think that is our biggest power to turn negative into positve.
We can choose to believe that what live gives to us is always good for us does not matter what it is because we dont understand the bigger picutre. In this way we are in controll of our live if we choose to play the vicitm we give it up unconciously we always go for the vicitm mentality because we unconciously seek comfort and by saying NO to vicitm mentality we are taking the full resbonsibilty for our actions with that we are leaving the comfort zone and growing(scary for the ego it wants safty).
For that journaling and observing your own thoughts and actions that you normaly do unconciously that keep us in victim mentality is great in my experience.
Always remeber you where born for every challange you face and live wants only to help you grow this perspective and ignoring any thoughts that go against that perspective can help alot.
Just sharing a bit of things i learned so far on my journey maybe it can help

Hello, I agree with the thoughts. In my case, now there is a choice: to live as it is now (to half strength) or to devote my life to some process (for example, poker) and do everything possible from me despite the difficulties. But I want to make sure my life isn't a rat race for success. I don't want to raise my self-esteem that I'm better than someone, I think this is a bad way to waste precious time of your life. Therefore, I ran into difficulties in choosing. And I want to make an informed choice if that's possible.

I've had mediocre results for the last 3-4 years because I didn't give it my all. Because I didn’t understand for what motivation I still play poker.

I want to understand everything so that there is no doubt.

I used to play a little but there was no success. It becomes profitable to play there only from nl10k

The rake is quite high yeah, but with rakeback its beatable for a decent wr at 200/500nl. 500 I have a low wr in but I know regs who are making moeny pre rakeback. Same for 1k. Not sure what you're playing atm

I have been in poker for 10 years and I want to enjoy playing on a small number of tables and slow thoughtful decisions.
The best way to learn is by playing for quality, not for number of hands.
