Hi 2p2!

Its time... I dont know how many times Ive made small forum posts about getting my poker together and then just go donk it off on some random type of poker that I dont know a **** about. This time Im gonna go for it for real. Im so f*king tired of always failing in a game that I could play in a way more selfcontrolled and good way.

Im 25 years old and Ive beed playing poker for about three years. I have played all kinds of poker but never really settled for any special type and focus on that to learn and to evolve in to a better player. Now its time. I know I love the tournament grind, and I know that if I ever would come anywhere in poker. Thats what I would like to do.

If this fails I will stop this. I dont care how fun it is. I dont want to be stuck in this in-between-thing for too long. If this fails Im just gonna leave it forever.

Im gonna start at the 90 man 1.5 knockout sng's. Thats where I will grind this spring out. When I get to 250 dollar I will kick in some of the 90 man 2.5 Sngs too. Timelimit? NONE. Keep grinding. Thats what Im saying.

Over and out.

Thread saver.

So... Off I go. This is my firs update of the grind through these months. I realized that I should start lower than expected and played 16 of the 0.25 dollars instead. First Graph:

Hope to get the same amount of volume the next coming days so its just to keep the grind up.

Already bored with the low tournament grind I decided to grind NL2 today. I just had 13 buy ins so decided to buy in at 12 tables and then split them when auto reload couldnt reload more.

This is my graph from today:

Wow, crazy ride today. Some hands are just so sick and so fun to play. I think the villain has a pretty good read on me on this one:

PokerStars - $0.02 NL (9 max) - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

CO: $2.94
BTN: $1.73
SB: $5.77
BB: $5.01
UTG: $1.94
UTG+1: $3.22
MP: $1.00
MP+1: $2.00
Hero (LP): $2.59

SB posts SB $0.01, BB posts BB $0.02, MP posts DB $0.02

Pre Flop: ($0.05) Hero has 6 A

fold, fold, MP checks, fold, Hero raises to $0.08, fold, fold, fold, BB calls $0.06, fold

Flop: ($0.19, 2 players) 4 9 T
BB checks, Hero bets $0.12, BB calls $0.12

Turn: ($0.43, 2 players) 3
BB checks, Hero bets $0.28, BB calls $0.28

River: ($0.99, 2 players) 7
BB checks, Hero bets $0.76, BB calls $0.76

Spoiler:
Hero shows 6 A (High Card, Ace) (Pre 27%, Flop 15%, Turn 7%)
BB shows K A (High Card, Ace) (Pre 73%, Flop 85%, Turn 93%)
BB wins $2.42

In this hand I actually had a read on my villain. He was getting upset with my plays and I could see that he slowly started to call everything behind me so I tried to play him in a smart way and actually got lucky too.

PokerStars - $0.02 NL (9 max) - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

BTN: $1.96
SB: $2.00
BB: $2.42
UTG: $2.07
UTG+1: $5.23
MP: $3.54
MP+1: $1.50
LP: $4.82
Hero (CO): $2.00

SB posts SB $0.01, BB posts BB $0.02

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero has Q 3

fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.06, BTN calls $0.06, fold, fold

He does not have nutty cards. He could have anything like me.

Flop: ($0.15, 2 players) A T K
Hero bets $0.08, BTN calls $0.08

Probably have something like A with a bad kicker.

Turn: ($0.31, 2 players) 6
Hero bets $0.18, BTN raises to $0.36, Hero calls $0.18

Now hes trying to bluff me (like I have done to him a lot of times). Thats my thought. He has A and got scared when the 3rd heart came on the board. Tries to min-raise me to scare me.

River: ($1.03, 2 players) J
Hero bets $1.50 and is all-in, BTN calls $1.46 and is all-in

Spoiler:
Hero shows Q 3 (Straight, Ace High) (Pre 34%, Flop 22%, Turn 27%)
BTN shows 6 K (Two Pair, Kings and Sixes) (Pre 66%, Flop 78%, Turn 73%)
Hero wins $3.81

Dude...

I think you should sit down and reconsider things you want from poker. You set this thread to motivate yourself to stick to the tournaments and develop yourself.
After two days u got bored and started very loose and fishy gaming in nl2.

If you just wish to waste your money having fun - you're more than welcome. But I dont see the point of this thread anymore

You are right. I should sit down and reconsider. I really like all kinds of poker and cant really say that I can pick one until forever. Guess Im right now in the phase of actually choosing and wanted to play NL2. Sry

I decided to continue my NL2 trip today and actually managed to put it 3K hands. Im happy with my performance even though I think I missed some obvious calls. Also, its hard to bluff at the lowest stake because ppl doenst care of what you have. They only see their own cards and thats really messing things up for me. I think I believe that ppl know my table personality as aggro and understand that I probably can have a lot of cards. Instead they only see their own middle pair and just go for it. Hmm... Sry for whining. Hes todays graph:

And since start:

More tomorrow evening. Hoping to put in at least 2.5K hands. First I have University and then football with friends. Btw... have anyone seen "Senna" the documentary? If not - GO ***** DO IT! Its amazing.

Ova 'n aowt!
