I've been lurking 2+2 for a while (mostly the Zoom Poker Thread) and decided it was time to start up my own goal thread to keep track of my results, I figure it will be unique since I will be playing Zoom Poker only. I started at 5NL Zoom about a month ago and I am just starting to play 10NL consistently.

Current Graph (Updated April 8th):

Currently Playing:
-4x 10NL Zoom FullRing
-2x 5NL Zoom FullRing

Current Monthly Goals:
-Reach GoldStar (329/3000)
-Play 25NL (unsure on BR atm, not sure how aggressive I want to be)
-Reach 100k hands (50k currently)

My Story:
I've been playing poker on and off for about 3 years, I used to play on FullTilt (playing only Rush) then I took a break and never really started up again (but kept playing live/home games). Felt the urge this year to give poker a real effort, so signed up for PokerStars and deposited $20, soon after they introduced Zoom Poker and I was instantly in love with it, because I was such a Rush fan. I had a tough decision about whether or not to play Zoom or normal tables and decided I enjoy Zoom too much so now I only play Zoom (FullRing)

Currently im playing 6 tables comfortably (4 of my current stake and 2 of a stake below), hoping PokerStars increases the cap per stake to 6. I believe I could comfortably play 8, but currently my screens to small. If all goes to plan, I will get another screen and 8 table. I'd also like to produce some tutorial videos in the future. Not much more to say about my poker background, but feel free to ask.

I play 16/12 for 10NL and more looser at 5NL, they stack off more often.

Thanks, I'd like to see some more Zoom threads, I see alot of people asking about zoom but few Zoom only players, so I thought why not.

Update #1

Hands: 3100
Result: -$16.06

Current BR: $311.36

Monthly Goals:
-GoldStar (441/3000)
-100k Hands (54k/100k)

Notes:
Sucks starting out this thread with a loss but I had a massive heater in my last session (won $80) so no complaints, really nothing interesting about this session. Hovered around $10 down the whole session, no big hands and no horrible mistakes, just a very meh session overall.

Hands:

Best river card for me, I actually had them on a Q (AQ or KQ) so I went for large river bet value.

This was the only hand I was unhappy with during my session, it was towards the end and I made a somewhat loose call preflop, then I felt I could have raised the river here for some value against a strong Q or some connected two pair hand, I have to work on maintaining good play towards the end of my session, this was nearly 2hrs into my session of 6 table zoom, I get sloppy.

That he was just floating with air or two high cards/possible gutshot or had a 10 (thought he would fold). After he calls turn I had him on the Q, river was miracle.

      Notes:
Good session overall, was playing really well. Was up about $20 for the whole session, ran set into set (lost $18) and then ended the session. EV reckons I should have won $15, which is mostly from when I got it all in on the flop with a set vs flush draw (lost obviously).

First time I had played during this time of day, I generally play at night when the Zoom pools a larger, I didn't notice much of a difference at all.

      Hands: LOTS TODAY!

Not sure about this hand, because after he checked the turn I don't think he has a Q, so I check the river hoping he bluffs (I rarely see anyone not bet river after a turn and river check) now im feeling I should have re-raised more, but if I dont put him on a Q its tough for him to call with something for more then just over min raise.

I like my hand against villians range here and flop a pair which I know is good large amount of the time, issue here is whether or not the A is good to continue with, if hes floating me its likely he has an A and an A is definitely in his range here, probably bad overall.

Just a fun hand where I get some value from a Royal, feel like in general I should bet 70c on turn and maybe slightly more on the river, its hard when I've got the board locked down, but there is plenty of bad players who will pay off big with two pair here, apparently some don't even need that.

This hand I feel my turn bet is slightly low, hes either flush drawing or has a K, im ahead against nearly all his hands. River bet I think is maybe too small now that I watch the hand, if he has a K hes going to pay alitle more for it.

                Here's my two cents..

Hand 1: I think if you are going to go for a check-raise on the river you would want to increase the payoff to counteract the risk a bit more. I'd bet just under $3.

Hand 2: I don't like your play here. I like the reraise because you get value from draws and protect your hand from AK type hands. The turn is an average card because the AK hands outdrew you but no draws came in. Your bet was too small because they often have some sort of draw. Since they folded I figure they had some kind of pair.

Hand 3: You could prob bet a 70c ott and 2.70 otr but seems alright as played.

                Hand 4: Stand

Hand 5: Bet more ott. I'd prob just check behind otr. What hand were you trying to get value from? I'd think the only hand you beat is KQ.

                Stats wise I play a TAG style with 16/12 and a high 3bet (6-8).

In 5NL its pretty standard micro play. If they bet just believe them and go for big value, pocket pairs are your best friend with suited connectors being good aswell.

I avoid playing out of the blinds in most cases, I'm always 3 bet or folding them. I have a wide 3bet range which includes any A in the blinds (against button/CO).

I play very, very tight from early (as you should be anyway), position is vital in position and very important in 10NL were people will double barrel and start to float abit.

Thats all I can think of right now, feel free to ask specifics.

i think you are defending too light. you should be flatting opens with hands that are stronger than the PFR opening range. hard to get in trouble then

the 56s and 97s i am either folding pre or 3betting if they have a somewhat high f3b.

xr flop in the 97s hand is a little weird, i don't think he calls you with worse value hands and the draws he calls with have decent equity, basically feels like you are bloating the pot out of position vs a reasonable strong range. the only ace he can have here is Axhh but overpairs will call flop and turn. if he calls turn then what is your play on different rivers?

in the 65s hand after the flush draw misses you can raise larger, you say that you don't think he has a queen but i don't think it matters too much. you are polarised here so really him calling on the river with a 7 or a Q is the same thing (he has a bluff catcher). you either are bluffing with a missed draw or you have a nut/type hand (although people really don't bluff xr enough that he should be calling here often).

Thanks for the feedback, I feel I do call way too light, especially considering I 6 table, you think I'd be able to resist the urge.

                Update #3

                Hands: 4770
                Result: $12.27

                Current BR: $326.53

                Notes:
Big session, was really card dead though. My biggest pot won/loss for the whole session did not ever go over $5 (apart from hand shown below, which barely made it), which is crazy for the number of hands and considering its Zoom. Turned a small profit so whatever I guess. Not many hands to bring up they were all very standard or easy decisions

                Hands:

This hand bugs me, don't know if the fold here is too nitty or correct honestly. Absolutely no stats on villian. I don't feel like he ever shoves with anything I beat, KQs maybe, I do have the As blocker so it can't be AKs, does he shove with AKo maybe?

KJ, JJ, 99 are all within his range here, Q10 is abit of a push but I've seen it plenty at 10NL Zoom.

My bet sizing was definitely abit on the low side which may have made me seem weaker than what I was, allowing this to happen. I get decent pot odds to call in the end, but I'm basically crushed by anything but a bluff and I definitely don't think a random 10NL player has it in them to bluff in this spot.

Just a brief input on your hands:

                  1) and 2), I'll just mention the preflop, not sure if it's profitable to play those hands OOP, specially hand 1) which is against a early positition raiser. I'd muck hand 1) and depending on my HUD reads in hand 2) I'm either folding or 3-betting light...

Other hands pretty standard, it's nice you caught a fish on the royal, so hard to extract value from that!

Yeh I play way too much out of position with speculative hands (heads-up pots), trying to fix that. Thanks for the input.

                  Update #4

Hands: 11626 (played over 3 sessions today)
                  Result: -$27.30

                  Current BR: $299.23

                  Monthly Goals:
                  -GoldStar (1135/3000)
                  -100k Hands (74.4k/100k)

                  Notes:
Not much to say other than I'm lucky/did well not to lose more. Overall I had set vs set twice and had Aces cracked by Kings twice (one was for a net loss of $30, which I stopped after). Pretty ugly overall but I made some really good reads and bluffs and was playing some very good poker, cards just didn't want me to win.

Considering this was over 11k hands and I would have been easily in the green if my aces had held up both times, no complaints.

                  Hands:

No real hands to discuss, not going to bother just posting bad beats. When I analyse this session tomorrow, I'll dig a few up and post them (got to get better at marking them during my sess, slacked off this time).

Keep up the good worth ethic Sammy ..

We play the same tables ( $10nl Zoom ) and our preflop stats are nearly the same .. im more 16/13 but you 3 bet more than me ...

I tend to flat steals with hands i think im ahead of their range with instead of 3 betting...and either 3bet or fold anything else.
