Hey guys I am a low stakes grinder trying to work my way up through the stakes. I currently play 100NL, and I am just about to move up to 200NL. I graduated from high school in 2012 and since then poker has been a big part of my life. At first it was just a hobby while I was obtaining my barbers license, but then it gradually started to take over. I started with sit n gos but as of February 2014 I made the switch to cash games, and I am enjoying it way more. There is a lot more creative freedom in cash games. I like that there are so many styles you can use to profit in this game. I am planning to save up about 50K this year, and then move out of the country to play online, as well as just travel the world a bit.

Anyways, since the switch to cash things have been going very good and I have made 10,000 playing 50, and 100NL. I am going to be using this thread to update how everything is going, and just fill it up with the random thoughts of Max93

Going to get a ton of volume in tomorrow. Hopefully I will take some shots at 200nl later in the day.

Friends were leaving to go back to college today so I had to hang with them one last time. I still got some good volume in playing 4 tables of 100NL. Things went good then bad, then good, then bad again, then a little good to end it. Not really worth posting a graph, I pretty much broke even. I think I may have lost a buying or so. Looking forward to a huge day friday. Boy I can not wait!

Just played a 7 hour session. Things went well, I decided to 4 Table zoom instead of two reg tables. Two 50NL and two 100NL, I am not sure if this is better than 2 200NL reg tables and two zoom tables, but it felt like it. I am going to go over the math a little later and figure out which way I can make the most money. Please call bovada and request 200NL zoom if any of you other grinders are reading this.

Today went really good! I decided to grind 4 tables of zone poker. 2 50NL, and 2 100NL. I have a question for you guys. I am keeping 2 tables of 100NL zoom no doubt. I wish Bovada allowed 4, since they don't I have to pick either 2 tables of 50NL Zone, or 2 tables of 200NL regular. What do you guys think?

Shipped a satellite sort of. I played the Punta Cana Classic tourney on Bovada and all though I didn't get top 3, I still cashed for 2,000. Made a deep run in the 100K, and lost AK to 77, still a great sunday!

Finally played a full session of 200NL, I felt like such a degen throwing around 200$ at a time. After about 2 hours of play, I think I already have adapted to the the money aspect being double what I am used to..........but we will see how really feel after losing 5 buyins at 200NL not looking forward to that day. Anyways decent session, ups and downs. Lost a little, but it felt like a win. Lost Aces to AK 656$ in the biggest pot of my career which wasn't cool.

Hey there Max, noticed you gave some love to my thread so I'm gonna give some love to yours. Some things I like about your thread is you are being really careful with your bankroll. Wish I could share that attribute. When you get some more posts be sure to PM me your skype and I'll help you in anyway I can. As I am familiar with a lot of the Bovada games and think I'd be pretty helpful.

As for zone poker, I'd stay away, nittiest game Bovada has for sure.

Yeah that 1/2 $1000 dollar downswing is quite possible. Had a couple of those when I was working through 1/2 myself. I do think that in some ways 1/2 is the softest game Bovada has on their site, especially at peak hours. Some last tips to bug you with before I leave you alone. Table selection is key to crushing 1/2 on Bovada, there are usually a lot of games running in general, it may take a few table swaps but eventually you will run into those HUGE HUGE donators that are just so ****ing good for your winrate.

Hey thanks for the tips! I really appreciate it.....Yeah I am kind of over zone, for now. Although I love the volume, I think I need to get back to real poker where I can actually exploit specific opponents, rather that just playing a set stately with set ranges. It seems as though we both are up at the zombie hours of the day lol. I play full-time as well so I am pretty much available whenever, but I would love to Skype, or talk strategy. You have kind of been there and done that at 1/2 so you'll be much more help to me than I will be to you, but hopefully I can bounce back with some ideas as well! I'd like to think I am a step ahead of most of the people that I play with, and I have been studying HARDDDD for the past 7 months since I moved to full-time. I am going to PM you my Skype rn.

Well today didn't go so good at all. Im going to dinner, and then hopefully the games will better in the evening. There were a ton of regs, I tried my best to table select but every table I sat was filled with guys playing 22 15. I had my first 5 buying DS at 200NL, on my first day of grinding it, so that wasn't really cool. Loosing 1k in a day sucks, but I guess it will be fairly standard now. I just hate it when I move up, and the negative variance hits first. It makes me loose confidence in my game even though it shouldn't. I ran terrible, but I also didn't play good. I called 2 all-ins drawing dead in iffy spots after feeling just to committed to the pot. I will be back later to hopefully do some work.
