Hi, first of all im a new member here so go easy on me

I've been playing recreationally online across different sites for about 2 years now and have been fairly successful.

Previously I had taken all my money out of FT after going on a bit on a downswing, but now I'm going to give it another shot again, mainly because its the only site i get rakeback on

So today i deposited $500 and my aim is $5k by the end of August. This includes rakeback + any bonuses. Not sure how realistic this is, but i wont be dissapointed if I make 3 or 4k.

I'll start off playing NL25 full ring 6 tables at once, I used to play 3/4 tables at once but feel i can cope with 6 after trying it out playing NL2. I will try to play 1k hands a day most days.

Any advice is appreciated. Wish me luck

Lol, he was SS and I figured he was c-betting most flops and there is no-one else in the pot so I figured flatting was good, 3betting from the blinds kind of turns my hand face up.

Check raised the turn so I can ship it on the river, I put him on an strong A at that stage

Just finished session 2; 595 hands, won $27.22, now @ $548.39

Interesting to note that even though I played more hands in session 1 I only got 86FTP compared to 101 in session 2.

1k hands per day would total to about 90,000 hands. say you are winning at at 5PTBB/100 including bonuses etc. you would only reach $2,250.

Unless you move up or put in more than 1k every single day 5k seems out of reach. Good luck and you are starting out good.

Thanks for calculating that for me, I realise $5k is a lot to target but as I said in my OP I wont be too dissapointed if I dont reach it.

I do plan on moving up to NL50 and maybe NL100 after that. Will try NL50 if/when I reach about $1.5k.

Any advice is appreciated, I would like to know why, in your opinion, why I played those hands wrong?

Also, I have played NL25 before this and have a much bigger roll on another site, so I think starting with 20BI's is fine.

And finally, I just finished another session and was my best yet, 539 hands, up $83.85. Almost tripled up on 1 table after winning a big pot then getting AA v KK.

Total bankroll now at $632.21

Overall a good first day

Nice job, sir! Good luck!

About betsizing in hand with 77. Nice line.
But why did u bet only $1?
The board has flushdraw, so imho it ll be better to protect the hand by betting $1.50 or even more. Another way it makes the pot bigger.

Good point, looking back on that hand I probably could have bet a little more on the flop, I only bet $1 because its such a raggedy board and a small bet induces a raise from a flush draw and two overs type of hand as it I looks like I'm trying to take it down cheap.

In general I will almost always bet 2/3 of the pot or less on the flop, because if someone has a flush/straight draw, they are not going to fold even if I bet the pot. I like to make my big bets on the turn as you can see by my raise in that hand.

Also I often am trying to take it down cheap on this kind of flop so I have to balance my range a little, maybe not so important at NL25, but I like to balance my range anyway.

Maybe my reasoning is bad here, but thats the fun of poker, there are so many different ways to play the same hand.

Going to play another session now, had a busy day so far so no poker played yet. Hope to get 1k hands played in the next 3 hours or so. Will post results/graphs then

I only want to give you one advice right now: your bet sizing (at least with your good hands) is too small.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try to work on that from now on.

Just finished session 4, played 1129 hands and was quite swingy, ended up down $13.83, some pretty sick hands in there. Total bankroll is now at $618.38. Have paid almost $60 in rake in the last two days so looking forward to see how much my rakeback will be

Work on your bet sizing like has been said. I think you're undersizing bets in alot of places and probably losing alot of potential value by doing it.
