I remember why I choose this challenge to be all cash game now, playing those matrix S&G's reminds me of how much I hate S&Gs, to much variance and I run terrible. End game is so annoying, shove and hope, repeat, repeat. Losing sucks and I dont get much sasitfaction from winning because enivitably i sucked out at some point

Made $29 out of two tickets and have 1 tickets left, might use it for something else cos I hate these games

Graph of these games so far, even though I would have got a RB hit I would have been better off getting a bonus with my iron man points

bonus - rakeback hit = free cash
you should seriously always go for the bonus if the rest doesn't interest you.

Perhaps i'll see you in the freeroll!
(ninja edit: lucky you, you're sitting on 5255 chips! I ran into an idiot with a set and fell from 2.5k to 1.7k)

ninja edit 2: i just surpassed you thx to QQ vs TT with a little fish who had 4.5k chips.
That KJ vs JT hand you had earlier on made me scream tho (flop J9x, you bet, he raises, you instashove, he calls, turn comes T, river Q)

seeing you dwindle down in chips (i'm just as carddead tho) reminds me of this cartoon:

edit: saw you bust just now... AQs vs KK vs JJ (and those couple of hands before that). ouch

Busted in the 91-180 slot after having had 100k chips for a while and running AK into KK and shortly after that again into QQ and then the final death came when my KK got busted by AKs, pf allin
Pretty standard but reminded me why i hate big tourneys, 4h of (almost) perfect play ruined

I was way too tired to play, wouldn't have played if the freeroll wasn't on.

Last two days haven't played at all as I moved into a new house and have no internet connection there yet. Won't get to play today or tommorrow either probably, I'm in college using the internet here now, but will be playing from Friday-Sunday to try reach the $5k. Currently on $4,930.

Nice one.
Are you withdrawing or are you going to grind 50nl+ while in college?

When you get the time, can you think about those graphs/stats?

Will withdraw most of it, need to actually concentrate on college this year, my final year, so wont get much poker in.

I'll post graphs etc at the end, so in a few days time.

Obviously i don't know your schedule but it might be worth it if you have an hour every now and then to play.

Meh, it will just end up affecting college, I would like to play an hour here and there but then I'll get stuck a few hundred $'s and be tilted going into college and not work well etc...it's fine when I can just take a break and grind it back again in a few hours but if I know I can't play again for ages it would get to me. I might leave a bit and play some NL25 where the mooney won't really mean as much and I can keep somewhat sharp.

Anyway I played a little today, and not much interesting hands, won $25, that as well as about $20 of bonus money cleared brings my BR up to $4,967.

Really hoping I can crack the $5k tomorrow and end the challenge, shouldn't be too much of a problem, touch wood. Getting RB tomorrow but seeing as I only played 2 days this week it will be very little. Have $10 of the bonus still to clear so that will help too.

I have graphs/stats ready but want to post them all together at the end so they will be up tomorrow hopefully.

Awesome thread, just stumbled on it today and it's a really good inspiration for a fellow uNL grinder.

You run uber good, hit sets much? That being said nice folds in some spots, apparently you get fishies to spew into you when you have the virtual nuts which is typically a good thing as well. Nicely done man, now hit 10k by New Years...

Obv it looks like that as I posted the big hands where I hit sets, got people to pay me off etc... you want me to post every hand where I missed a set? I wont deny I probably ran better than average for this summer though

Wont be hitting 10k by New years though, other stuff to do. Will be withdrawing at least $4k, maybe all of it.

Also want to say thanks to all who read, posted GL messages and helped out with advice on hands etc. Much appreciated

Hands played: 54,051
Winnings: $1,155.57
bb/100: 8.55
Rake paid: $947.56

Comments: Most players are either fish or nitty regs. There are a lot of very ABC regs playing 13/10, then the rest are either shortstackers (seems to be a lot at this limit) that are even nittier or fish. Against certain regs KK can be folded PF and there were times I did fold it. There are very few good LAGs, maybe one or two, that play 17/13. Even a 15/12 is rare. To sum up, the biggest winner I have seen at NL25 plays something like 9/8!

Stats: Starting off I was playing nittier but towards the end I was playing about 15/12 which is maybe even a little tight of optimal IMO. If I were playing NL25 again, I would be 3 betting a lot more.

Wrong title----NL25 Rush

Hands played: 26,414
Winnings: $745.96
bb/100: 11.30
Rake paid: $367.41

Comments: Similar to regular NL25 but even nittier, a little more 3betting though. 95% of players are very fit or fold post flop and you can see my red line is pretty much straight compared to all other limits I played, this was simlpy c-betting a lot and raising c-bets a lot.

Stats: Slightly higher 3bet than regular NL25, also my 4bet range has increased, because of the increased 3betting by the regs.

By lygerwon at 2010-09-10

Graphs: Took a while to adjust as you can see by the first 1.5k hands, red line had dipped a lot there.

Winnings: $909.55
bb/100: 4.90
Rake paid: $1,212.52

Comments: My hardest limit to move up to by far and possibly harder to beat than NL100!? The regs are a lot better than NL25 though there are still plenty of fish which are just as bad. Agression is notably higher, especially pre flop, a lot more re-stealing and 3betting, getting it in with AKo PF is not that uncommon.

Stats: Standing out is that my turn c-bet has dropped a lot compared to NL25. Maybe a slight leak, maybe not.

By lygerwon at 2010-09-10

Graphs: Bit of a rollercoaster. My non showdowns dropped a bit, mainly as a result of lower turn c-bet I guess.

Comments: A lot more LAGs than NL25 especially, a lot of poeple play around 16/13, which means nitting it up a little is often correct. Also playing a little more passively can be very profitable. If you make a few steals in a row people will not keep folding, they resteal eventually which can be worked to your advantage. There seems to be less short stackers as well which is definetly a good thing.

Stats: Again small sample size so not really worth it. One thing I will say is that my AF dropped from 3.96 at NL25 to 2.24 at NL100.

Yeah I play pretty tight, especially when I moved up, makes me consistent money though With your style you get all sorts of swings as I seen in your thread

Ty, yeah I left 1k in my account, might play a bit at the weekends/holidays etc

Going to try NL50 HU, think I can beat that game pretty good but have no sample size yet. More fun as well
