It's fair to say that twoplustwo has seen the full journey of bogan4life as a person. When I started here I was battling a cocaine addiction and a troubled past, all that changed when I had a child and it left me to the standard life of rehab, trolling the internet and degening on the tables. Poker wasn't a big part of my life for a long time even though I spent most of my time explaining why you need to own a farmer to have a gun and winning Hottest 4life contest.

About 9 months ago I decided that I wanted to improve my game and start taking it semi serious. I entered a staking deal with a group that was just so below par it wasn't funny, so instead of playing all that much I studied the game and tried to improve my 180 game as much as i could. Two months ago I joined Nation Station and Spathics group and with such amazing support have got to the point where I am ready to go it alone. I can not speak more highly of these 2 guys and ill be grinding out my last month with them before bidding a sad farewell. I will forever be thankful for there support they have shown me in the past few months.

I am looking at following in the footsteps of my hero and inspiration WhiteRabbito and stepping up to the 15's within a few months. My current games are 2/3r/8 180s and ill be sticking with this for a few months at least.

Ill be using this thread to keep me on track as I make the journey onto my own money and the progress I make.

My Goals:

- To play 2500 games per month as a minimum
- To have improved my game so that by the end of July I can make a transition into 15s
- To apply proper bankroll management
- To not play any cash games at all (ban in place on stars_
- To maintain a ROI of 20%+

Having just finished my first grind it was a good start to the day with 61 games played for (profit) thanks to a win and a 3rd in a 3 rebuy 180 and a 1st in a 8/180 to make it a great start to this thread.

Most 180 players will put in a 100-150 game spell in a 5-6 hour period and be able to just do one session for the day to bad my mind can't handle that due to the damages I have done to it in the past. In the end I end up having to put in a longer session due to running to the end of a cycle of games and the time to reboot another set of games.

Fair change from the days of $100 DON's on $120 rolls.

So so far we have

Well what can I say, my female fan base is 2nd to none <3 (ok maybe 2nd to bond18 but his devilishly handsome)

Other than sheer volume, what are some of the things you did when you decided to take it seriously and improve your game?

I joined a few study groups and also was lucky enough to get some help from follow 4lifers/Poggers.

Omgbennylava (mtt/mttsng grinder) was a massive help and taught me the basics of mttsng's and helped me move away from my degen ways. Moneymatt1/Ibavly/Abe/YP9 also gave me a lot of help and explained push/fold etc. I sought out every talented player i knew and asked if i could sweat them (Yarbles was a massive help here and for a HSMTT was always very helpful with his time, as was M1sha)

I also dropped my ego and just listened. I realized that what I wanted to become was what these guys have already achieved and if I was going to do that id need to take in everything that I could. When you are getting help of someone you need to pick a person that has an understanding of you as a person and these guys knew my ways and realized ways to help me. I took in every word that each of them said and adapted it to my own game.

Im sure that I was very lucky in that I could go to solid grinders and ask advice and now when ever I get the chance I try to help out those who are wanting to learn and who dont have a ego. A prime example of this is Semesa, he has only just recently moved into 180s and is becoming one of the tougher 2s regs (-ev for me!!) He has taken on every word of advice that has ever been giving to him from a number of regs and with his mindset I expect him to become one of the best 180 players with in 3 months.

SNGWizard is the other key and spending hour on hour reviewing your hands so that every push/fold becomes 2nd nature is a huge help.
