Lol I'm not offended but I think you are being a little shortsighted, the games are very tough and the state of the games compared to even as recent as Black Friday is considerably different. Not gonna go into too much strat here but there's much more to the game than simple shove fold (especially compared to satellites).

Not to discourage you or anything, if going to Mexico is realistic for you is certainly recommend giving it a go but I really doubt you will be able to jump straight into high stakes.

I lost probably 35ish on sngs this year, but made a bit over 25 in cash. I ran pretty bad at high stake mtts (and sngs) and am down a bit there over a negligible sample although sold a lot of my action. I'm also staked so gave some profits away too backers. Idk I think I'm up about 90k, less after staker cut but not too much less if I include my coaching and staking income. SNE rakeback is about 110k but I got more like 115 cause b000000m promotion battle of planets etc

It could just be the time of day I am watching them. They look pretty good to me.

Yeah as I said around this hour games are much softer but traffic is worse. Holiday season also means more fish and a lot of regs are done for the year.

im mainly a cashgame player but im wondering if you started to play more tables after like 6k hypers to get more VPPs or just running a bit worse / playing a bit worse? its interesting to see that you breakeven (which is obv winning at hypers) for 6k hypers and then start to lose slightly

Thanks. I would say mostly I did play more tables (20+ instead of 17~), but definitely ran a bit worse. The games also got a bit tougher since it was closer towards December and more 6 reg games went off etc.
I think variance is a huge part of it as a 6k, 7k or even more games sample in hypers is not that big. I don't think I played worse, I think I played better as I learnt more although I made a few small adjustments near the end after the massive downswing.

Fwiw if you read a few pages ago there's a little discussion and I'd generally agree that regs new to hypers will start with a better EV because of ppl not knowing their ranges etc, and eventually, like happened to me, EV drops as regs adjust to me after picking up reads, stats etc.

I'll definitely planning to go for at least SNE next year, and possibly more VPPs. It's not priority, but I wanna make a decent profit pre-RB, although my number # goal is just good profit post RB and a decent hourly. I will also wanna do well in the live MTTs I'm planning to play (Aussie Millions, WSOP Australia, a few EPTs and some other Australasian events probably), hopefully have decent success in staking and finally not be lazy and do some coaching for some income too.

Basically if I'm not lazy, and put in the hours, I should have a very good 2013 profit wise.

Will make a new thread for 2013 and hopefully update it fairly often, will still respond to any questions/comments in here until then though!
