I think after 10k hands I can gather I'm a losing player at even the measly 2NL stakes.

I play Zoom (both 6 max and FR) and regular cash games.

Humiliating as it may be, I plan to change this. I understand the game, the trouble I have is when to apply techniques and moves in the correct situations.

I plan to play at least 1k hands per day and spend at least 30 mins after each session reviewing and analysing my play. I hope that 2p2 can help me when I get stuck

My plan is to become a winning 25NL player by the 31st of december.

good luck, my tip that is going to save you tons of money is, when in doubt, fold.

Buy a video subscription at a trainingsite, watch a lot of videos, focus on high frequency spots like opening ranges, callingranges, cbetting ranges, calling cbet ranges, x/c ranges as the pfr on the flop. Make notes, focus on one topic at a time. Good luck. If you have any questions just pm.

the one thing that I think that beginners think a lot of the time is that if you are a good player your graph just goes straight up on a 45 degree angle. Its not true!

I beat 5NL at 4~ BB/100 over like 250,000 hands. I am beating 10NL at about the same over 30,000 hand so far. I have days where I am + or - 10BI in a single session. All you can do is get your money in good. If people suck out, or you get to the river and the board is now a 4 flush/4 straight you are forced to fold with a significant chunk of money in the pot. You just have to know that you'll get the money back and then some in other pots

Point is I'm a losing player who wants to get better, might just be a downswing but still is frustrating and want to improve

Iveyleague and RunItOnce should both offer very good value for a 2nl player since their memberships are about $10 a month and should easily pay for themselves.

Hand 1 is a bad beat and doesn't matter.

Hand 2 is butchered just flat turn.

Hand 3 reraise pf. People at nl2 play very erratic so it is hard to say whether it is good/bad because people are capable of showing up with 89 there. That being said, getting it in with small overpairs on monotone textures in single raised pots to multiple flop raises will generally end with you being smoked. Still better plan was to just 3b pf for value.

Of course I am just saying not to be shaken by simple downswing you haven't played that many hands variance happens its nice that you want to improve

        h1: looks fine
h2: if you are gonna go all in with second pair and a draw bet flop and try to get ai with more equity as played just call turn.
h3: after original raiser 4bets you what range are u puting him on on that board?

I'd cbet flop, bet turn and call his bet on river if he donks into me.
he could have AJ,JT,87,77 and play this way.
he could also have flushes, higher sets but I think we beat him here most of the time +
it's NL2 so he might just spew with a random hand.

I aim to show a total profit of $10 by the end of the weeks play

                1) Fine

                2) Bet the flop! Also, why are you stacking off on the turn in what was an original $0.15 pot... Bet the flop and flat/flat the raise on the turn, but 5-bet shoving is insane...

                3) Too weak to stack off with TT here really. Sure, it's an overpair, but overplaying overpairs loses money! After he 4-bets to $0.80, aren't alarm bells ringing that your TT is probably losing?

I don't know why PLO just clicks, at NL If you get coolered it's kind just accepted and you move on. In Omaha, you know when you're beat and when you're not. It's ****ing great! Folded 2nd nut flush (on unpaired board) without batting an eyelid after getting raised on the river. Guy showed nut flush and I wasn't surprised just move on.

Haven't really played much past 24 hours as have been going out. Never playing poker hungover.

Aim for next week (not planning on playing tomorrow either) is to reach $40. Think this is achieveable. Will move up to 5PLO when hit $70 profit.

Been a very long time since I last did an update. Have had mixed results.

So, after runnning well above EV for my first 18k hands I ran well below EV for the next 18k hands. I was distraught, upset and in negative figures again. **** this I thought, I need to make a change. There are clear leaks in peoples game I just need to learn how to exploit them! And so for the next 5 weeks, I play 2 Zoom PLO tables. This is the graph that I manged to make.

I had reached 50 BI for 2PLO. I decided to take a 4 BI shot at 5PLO and if I lost the 4 BI simply continue to grind back up. The first week went well, I played at least 1k hands per day and even managed to run super well but I still had an all-in ev that was nearly +3 BI so I was happy.

Then sunday night came. It was midnight and after spending the whole day hungover and on 5 hours sleep from the previous night I decided to continue the grind. I had been 4 tabling zoom so I stuck with what I was comfortable with and this is the monstrosity that unfolded

I woke up the next morning still in shock at what had happened, I originally blamed it on the tiredness but after re-studying I don't think i played too badly, C- standard. Just ran so badly, second nuts vs nuts countless times. I I am feeling sorry for myself.

I even had to move back down to 2PLO :/

So this is my overall graph now, I feel upset that all my hard work had been undone in 3k hands. **** you pokerstars.

                *DISCLAIMER*
To all those who will just say that this is PLO get used to it, I'm not going to yet. The 2PLO climb was steady so why should the 5PLO be any different?

Also, I am looking for somebody at the higher stakes to me (25PLO and above) to go through some hands and my HUD stats. I would appreciate it much as I love to improve

                Back to the grind
