3K hand a day to supernova 3K hand a day to supernova

At the moment i have a lot of free time and want to make it to supernova this year. I started with $500 and playing 25NL. To make it to supernova i have to play at least 3K hands a day which is a awful lot next to a full time job so i really hope i can move up a level in a month or two to cut this almost in halve. I have tried this before but not even a week in and i quit poker because of private issues. Now i hope i can stick to it and make it supernova.

This is my first week, well over the 3K hands a day. But i'm not too happy with my winnings. Got my money in an awfull lot with K's vs A's, simply not folding K's at 25NL, and they still make me money so i keep it that way .

I also have a hard time getting payed for hitting sets, and if i do get my money in i'm vs someone who flopped a straight on a rainbow board.

But anyway, i'd be happy if i can keep this volume up since the bonus at the end of the year should be around $5K. But if i ever want to make it to elite i need to play some levels higher before that. I might take some coaching since i feel i have a lot of leaks i can't seem plug myself.

Sick session today, finally i got some money from my sets and cached some fish with A rag for some good money. Obvious the cards where on my side today except for that A's vs K's where he flopped a set.

Why couldn't you? Don't you have $500? Are you afraid of losing your BR or do you take more risk on higher levels?

Anyway, lost $100 today... got nothing rolling... sets didn't pay off, when i did had a premium hand i was running into a better one. Lost K's to A's and Q's to K's a couple of times. Eventually was steaming a little playing to many hands out of position, which is bad play on my side but eventually i came back a little from $175+ loss.

I guess it's because it's the 13th, so everybody lost today?

First, gl and gj! It's 6max or fullring? How many tables do you play?

Im doing a similar journey, started with ~$620 on NL25 on Feb 22 and currently (~27k hands later) im taking shots on NL50 with ~$1400.

What BRM rules do you have? I currently use:

50 BI, Move down if the bankroll drops to 50 BI for the limit below
Take a 10 BI shot at the next limit if you have 50 BI for the current limit plus 10 BI for the next limit
However on limits < NL100 I go with 30 BI.

Anyway, I will follow your progress and if you keep this pace up you surpass me in no time

Well i'm not so fortunate (or good) to be making 1400 in 27K hands. Played a little over 30K and i am only $75 up. A's and sets rarely get me payed, and when i do get the money in i am facing a better set or PP vs my K's/Q's.

I do play a little too much sometimes, mostly in position though and a bit to aggressive against the wrong players. I am still tweeking my hud so i can as much info as quick as possible. All my losses come from the blinds, and since yesterday (ran extremely bad) also on early position -1.51 bb/100. So i'm still looking for optimum play on 25NL. I used to grind the 18/27 man sng turbo's for pretty good profit, but with SNG's i can never get supernova elite so i have to put volume in my cash game and practise hard .

Anyway, if I can make a steady $1000/30K hands on these levels i would quit my job today .

FR or 6max? 3k hands/day is nothing.

Full ring.

3K hands a day on 12 tables next to a full time job is pretty much... it's about 4 hours of poker each day. 24 hours a day - 8 sleeping -10 working -4 hours of poker leaves me with 2 hours to do housekeeping, cooking/eating, finances and social life.... Really i should not be posting here

I think you can play FR easily 20 tables by stacking, shouldn't affect your winrate hugely. Have you tried that?

Yeah tried stacking but i don't really like it. However if i want to play more tables i pretty much have too .

Anyway, another very bad session today, i'm -$20 in 34K hands. I started off again with some major coolers, over set, K's vs A's and lost with A's to K's. After that I played very badly, tried calling off large bets from aggressors with mediocre hands and letting others get to there draws because i was to afraid to build a huge pot with just top pair. I was winning lots of small pots only to lose it all again in some big pot. Dunno what i had today but made a lot of bad decisions. I picked myself up only at the end of the session where i came back a little.

I go studie my hands a bit now and see where it went wrong exactly, take some notes and start fresh again tomorrow.

Well I started with 620 so "only" made ~800 (incl. bonus) and I spent a week studying "The Mental Game" by Jared Edler as well as some in depth poker theory on preflop strategies and post flop play (still got alot to learn). Now Im having a minor bump on NL50 since people tend to play back more than on NL25 but starting to get a hang on it.

I bet you could get alot of help from other FR players here if you post some tricky hands and if you invest some time studying the mental game of poker as well you should be able to crush NL25 soon.

Can't believe this, i keep building chips and playing good just to donk off all of it with an overpair vs a set or 2P. Or i get in trouble with something like J's or Q's on a low board and up against K's or A's. Sometimes i have the feeling i'm beat but just can't lay down that overpair since it's very often good enough as well.

Again i have a feeling for picking the wrong spots, like pushing Q's to some guy that has 11% 3b and then he calls me with A's. Or i defend my blind vs 40% stealer i hit top pair and but he has aces.

Anyway, i'm on schedule having played 43K hands in 13 days. But at the cost of $20 + rake. I really have to play/run a little better next couple of days or this will be over soon.
