Hopefully I will be tied up all day in a tourny today. Cash games will be played around tourny. Id prefer no time for cash due to deep run .

If you're still in South Florida, Coconut Creek has a $64 BI at 6PM tonight. It has a $6400 Guarantee but usually gets enough runners to pay 10K. Check it out if you're still in town.

Playing this tourny now. Got knocked out of the one I played in this morning all in with qq on 8743cc board after I 3bet pre, and lead all streets. Guy called with k 10 off cuz he felt lucky. King river and I take a walk. Gotta love south florida tourny players. Took a poker break and went to see iron man 3. It was awesome as the theater was near empty. Now ready to crush this donkament.

Starting in a hole. Just started a cash session and get kk cracked on very first hand.

Effective stacks 100 as they are shortstacks. Utg+1 makes it 10 and mp calls. I have kk in co and raise to 35. They both call and flop is 976dd. Checked to me and I bet enough for them to be all in. Both call and one has q10o (lol wtf) and other has a7hh. River brought an ace and its time for me to grind it back on this super soft table.

Redig the hole. Flop is 1032cc and I got 1010 on button from tag players utg open. We get it in and he has kk. River king ball. Back to stuck about 75. Easy game.

How will he know that you profit $3300? You could make numbers up or you could get someone to chip dump and make it look like a profit. Either way fake results in the end IMO. Whatever profit you get gl getting free money from him.

Yeah you sound like loads of fun. If you assume details of this thread are fake, feel free. I can't prove anything, just like everyone with live pg&c threads generally can't "prove" results.

Last night was called short after my friend went busto and wanted to bounce a little early. Worked out as I had the long drive home anyways. session result was 3 hours for -95. Ran pretty aweful on a good game, but oh well. Ran pretty decent on the trips sessions otherwise so I was due for some suckouts I guess. Ride home resulted in the following prop bet after much debate. He's not super math based but argued that if I held 23 offsuit, and we ran out 100 boards, the board would play most often. I snap argued that 23o would be a favorite to win over his zero cards a majority of time. Meaning if the board played he would take the win. My quick logic went as follows:

Just using the 2's and 3's I have 6 live outs, 6/48 unknowns average = 1/8 to hit. 5 tries at 1/8 = 5/8 which obviously means I'm favored. Obviously excludes straight and flush possibilities, but also board counterfeits.

So we bet a quick $100 and did 100 run outs when we got home. Results to come. I'm more curious if anyone can tell me if my math was logical or not, and where I may have thought incorrectly. I look forward to responses.

hey gl dude, just saw this thread. I am going to be playing pretty much all summer here in south florida. Will probably start my own thread here in pg&c. Will start at 1/2nl and try to grind several grand, super soft games but obv playing 1 table is very frustrating and really tests your mental patience with variance and all.

Math was off a bit. First there are 50 unknowns, not 48. Second you can't just add 1/8 5 times to get your probability. The probability of at least pairing your 2 or 3 is 1-[(44*43*42*41*40)/(50*49*48*47*46)]=48.2%. That doesn't include being counterfeitted so it is probably a bit lower. But given your possibility for a flush or a straight probably makes it pretty close to 50/50.

Knew I went wrong somewhere. Warning to all dont drive sleep deprived and try to do math. Fwiw I used 48 as an average for unknowns since its 50-46. But yes, 50% is far different from the ~62% I came up with.

Thank you

Wtf does this mean?

Ep raises to 7 after a limper. Goes 4 ways to the flop - co, butoon, and bb joined. Flop (30) is Ks 9h 3s. Checks to ep who cbets 10, and all three others call. Turn (70) is 4h and bb leads out for 30.

I don't understand what fishy line this is and what kind of hand plays this. Check/calls flop and closes flop action but leads turn. Why not check raise flop or check turn? He turns out to be a fishy player, but this got me lost. Any ideas?

Villain probably turned 2 pair, either K4 or 34. Maybe even hit trips with 44. With my live experience, when a fishy player check calls flop and then leads turn, that card helped him almost every single time.

That just felt too obvious I suppose.

Btw, jonesucf34, I will be heading to ocala this weekend. Its their anniversary weekend. They do 500 high hand every 20 mins open to close both saturday and sunday. The rooms much smaller then daytona (under 25 tables) and the players are equally bad. I highly recommend it for some one playing on a smaller live roll, looking to maybe bink some promo money.

Thanks but I already had plans to go play at the Tampa Hard Rock this weekend. I do want to make a trip up to Ocala sometime, though.

Just saw your post. Good luck, looks like on pace.
I am coming to so florida for first time this summer and looking forward to 3 days of cards.

Have you played much 2/5, just curious if the level of play jumps up much in the rooms you are playing?

Been sick since Friday morning when my alarm went off to go play. Just been resting except for work, Trying to will myself to health ASAP. This really killed me weekend plans and will put me behind schedule.

@TakingIt: Best of luck to you this summer. You have a ton of great options in south florida, so don't hold back. Yes, patience is the biggest virtue when starting out. When first jumping into live low stakes NL, just don't worry about your image or bluffing too much. Its boring as ****, but getting max value from made hands is where you'll make most your profit.

@Fran: Thank you. Might be the biggest compliment possible. Good luck if you do go play live

@AndyG: Thank you. Appreciate the support.

@leabeu: South Florida is pretty much the nuts to come play. Soft, and lots of action. 2/5 isn't too troublesome or different from most 1/2's in say vegas or AC. Just utilize table selection and you'll be fine.

Found a little bit of energy this morning and went for a short early session at bestbet jax. Resulted in a profit of 173 in 2.5 hours. Table was great and I hated to leave, but my physical shape demanded a short nap before I go into work today. Good little hit though to keep me on pace:
