God this game is fustrating when u cant hit anything. My tables full of fish, aside from 3 super nits, open shoving 25 bbs with a10 off and hitting when I call with aq.

Any recommendations on how to pass the time on games w/ no thinking required?

Just made today more interesting. Have a prop bet that I can stay in the bestbet jax poker room today until it closes at 4am. I began playing at 10am when they openned.
Also have all my action today being cross booked. I will mostly stick to 2/2 but may play higher to try and smash the cross book action.
Go go go time.

So in terms of 2/2 today I just put in a marathon session of 15.5 hours resulting in a profit of 181. Still playing some other games to finish off before the room closes at 4am.

subbed.

$3300 in 33 days sounds so simple yet it's so difficult. it's $100 a day. problem is too many losing sessions and not offsetting them with big wins is going to make it tough.

good luck

Ended up winning about 600 as a result of the props. Played 18 straight hours on no sleep and it was totally awesome. Utilized a few tricks for marathon sessions that really helped. I guess I wont be playing tomorrow morning now. A small report to follow tomorrow when I have my laptop.

Amen brother. When trying to get action against myself prior to the start everyone said how simple this would be to accomplish. I knew itd be tough and wanted to push myself with a reachable goal.

Appreciate the sub.

FWIW I did $3520 in 27 sessions in September/October so it can be done. Ran hot as the midday sun in August.

So some details on the prop bet two days ago. I had to play from the time the room openned at 10am, and could not stop until when the room closed at 4am. No breaks were allowed except for bathroom. So yes, all meals were consumed at the table. I don't smoke regularly, so no smoke breaks or another leaving the table excuses. Most importantly, I also could not sleep the night before the day played. In addition to the bet made on my ability to stay and play all day, my action was then cross-booked. For anyone who doesn't know, cross-booked action meant that any winnings I made were matched by the person betting, and all losses I would have to match pay to him.

He very much liked the concept of me potentially playing a non-A game due to sleep deprivation, but I felt confident I could play well. Plus, I was going to play mostly 2/2 NL so it felt like a good spot. I've got some decent experience in long, tired sessions, and maintaining decent play.

Started out on a good table. Was up about 100 in the first hour. Then table tightened up a bit with only one or two fish, and I went pretty card dead with very iso spots against the fish. Just standard slow, game. Then in the afternoon, the table got lively and entertaining. I sat super dead and just hovered around even max buy in stack for hours and hours. However, the table was fun, so it felt like a good way to pass the time. Good convo, looser players so just one pot every two hours kept me fine. Great way to kill the long day.
Table started drying up bad, and aside from three barrelling in a spot, I couldn't get anything going. The three barrell hand went as follows:

Hero (170): AK button with super tight image to the two competent players paying attention
Villian 1 (300): CO - younger competent guy who played wide range, iso'd rather well, etc
Villian 2 (120): BB tight wad

Limped to me pre, I raise to 12, two villians call. Flop (37) 3 6 7 rainbow. Checks to me and I c-bet 20. Villian 2 folds, villian 1 calls. Turn (77) is a J, villian 1 checks and I bet 35. I went small to make sure a river shove stack was larger. Villian 2 calls. River(147) is a 10, so board is 3 6 7 J 10. He checks and I shove for ~103. He tanks and tanks. Finally he folds 3 4 face up and I scoop the pot. He had the read on the hand, but said he couldn't pull trigger based on my image, so woo. Hard to use image in a 2/2 NL game.

Moved to new table at night and finally started chipping up later into the session. Good table and started making hands in great spots to get paid. Took what was slightly down at 1am to up 181 at 2:30am when I called it a day in terms of 2/2. Only fun stat; I flopped my first set of the day around 2am. Good old live swings, 14 hours to flop a set. Kind of wish I didn't hit one all day, just for the sickness factor.

I never really got too tired or lost focus. It was boring at times, but still my body never felt it too bad. Major way to help yourself go longer, small meals with water to drink. No caffeine, and no big meals that weigh you down. I ate salads and other light things when hungry. Don't stuff yourself. I did start redbulling late at nite towards the end but only when I felt a crash coming. Putting off the caffeine and sugar as long as possible keeps the inevitable crash from happening.

Just put in a smash and grab morning session for a 285 profit in 2.5 hours. The morning tables are super hit and miss. Todays was mega juicy for two hours. Saw a five way way all in pre where aj took it down by hitting an ace. It was similar to drunk filled saturday night games. Good times

Played for two hours this morning. Ended at +61 on the day. Have to do some errands and things so today I played until my table dried up. Also, with the weekend now starting I will likely play some of the overnight hours when I get out of work so I wanted to get everything done beforehand. Update heading into the weekend:

Days completed in bet: 12
Current profit mark: +1148
Hours played: 50

Wrapped up a 5 hour session of pure fustration. Super loose table and couldn't pick up a thing. Had qq twice, raised pre, cbet a king high flop and folded to a raise both times. Won zero pots except for one chop. After topping off my stack a few times I was in the game for 360 total and cashed out for 52. Hand that set me off the table in a rare tilt. Terribad player opens utg for 7, I 3bet lp with jj to 35 after two limpers. He flats and one other flats. Flop is 722ss, checked to me and I cbet 60, and utg shoves. I call and he has k2. Just one of those fun kind of days I guess.

Checked into my hotel and grabbed a nap. Now at the isle casino for next session. Bout an hour and wanted to write this note:

Dear dealers who have dealt to me so far at isle today,

You have all been rude bitches. I say bitches even though you have all been female and I hate that word, but it unfortunately applies. None of you have followed the action well enough to be qualified for your job. You spent your downs being flirty with old regs to get tips due to your lack of dealing ability. Do not be rude to me, misread a board, then get upset when you get stiffed by me on a $15 pot. This is a service industry and you gave me bad service. I am normally an advocate against non tippers because I worked in the service industry most my life. However, you are receiving what you deserve.

Sincerely,
Seat 9

Another note to add:

Dear low stakes players of south florida,

Please learn some poker etiquette at some point. Slow rolling is not cool or funny. When you go all in with the nuts and are called just flip it over. Do not stand and stare at your opponent and ask what he has like you lost. You are being a disrespectful old prick. Also do not celebrate when you luckbox a big pot with top set vs middle set. You should not stand, cheer, then tell the man you just beat how you made some play to win the pot. Just stack the chips and be realistic in the fact a player just got coolered for you to win.

Sincerely,
Seat 9

Just left from a 6.5 hour session at the isle. Profitted 306 on the session. Was overly fustrated and bothered by ****ty dealers and annoying players. Need to throw on headphones next time for my own sanity. Im definitely a bit sleep deprived and cranky. Also did not eat much and it left me irritated. Time to sit down at a diner and make myself fat happy.

Sorry to hear about the poor treatment you are getting from players/dealers, but happy to see your profits.

Try to use this to your advantage: poor etiquette = poor player.

Very interesting post. Wishing you much success!

100% true about them being poor players if they have poor etiquette. Thats why it doesn't normally bother me and I just used 2+2 to vent yesterday. Like I said, I was playing hungry and short on sleep. Two things I highly recommend avoiding due to the crankiness it creates. Also the dealers there are mostly average - above average, I just caught a bitchy run of them.

Thank you for commenting
