I play for a living and have found myself being very, very slack for the past 3 months. I managed a bit over 2600 games this month with fine results, but I did all of that in about 60 hours and then proceeded to do nothing for the remainder of the month. My game of choice at the moment is Double or Nothings on Stars and will likely be my game of choice throughout this endeavor.

This won't be terribly difficult to achieve, I've played 13,000 games this year already even with my slacking. It's simply a matter of applying myself and not being useless. That itself may be a bit difficult at times.

My setup for this is simple. Just a single monitor, I stack, usually 32 tables, inthe bottom left hand corner of the screen. I use Hjälper and an Xbox 360 controller for table actions and controlling table annoyances.

When I play a session I'll be playing for a bit over 3 hours, usually doing that twice a day on days I choose to play. I may move up and down in stakes throughout the summer, I may stay at one limit. I haven't fully decided how I plan to attack the limits. My certain goal is achieving at least 15,000 games played and hopefully some decent profit. I'll be starting at the $10.40 DoNs with 65 buyins in my account, so $676 in this case.

I'll try to make updates here at the end of the days I play. I'll also cross-post poker related things from here to my blog, where there will likely also be more life-oriented postings from time to time.

I may get started a day early and hit the virtual felt today, but if not I'll certainly be starting tomorrow.

Although I had planned on getting this started today I'm not feeling 100% so I'm going to wait until tomorrow. I also forgot to mention I'm currently a Supernova. I originally obtained Nova in December of last year and have already broke the 100,000 VPP mark this year to maintain Nova until at least February '11 I believe.

That said, here's my lifetime graph at the game and stakes I'll be starting at. If I do in fact decide to move up in stakes throughout this then I'll post my lifetime graph at those various stakes also. Aside from the $5.20s, there's not a DoN buyin on Stars that I haven't played at least 3500+ games at.

So I got terribly sidetracked for the first week of the month, but I'll still make out fine. I just wrapped up my second session of the month, hoping to do a couple more today but we'll see how my time goes. Nothing much else to report besides that, I'll maybe make a blog post later so if you're into following those check my profile for a link.

This is 242 games so far, would like to be around 500 by the end of the day so I can at least say I'm 10% on the month for volume.

Care to share your ROI at various stakes? Also, what is your break-even point in terms of ITM %? 56%?

I'm Sharkscopeable, but in the meantime I don't care to break it down by stakes myself. I believe breakeven is 52%?

10 * 52% = 5.2
5.2 * 20 = 104

I think? Sounds right, but I could be thinking about it wrong.

Almost a third of the way through the month and I'm still only 520 games in. Been getting sidetracked really easily lately, but I'm still planning to have 5000 games in by the end of June even if I have to pull a bunch of 9 hour days.

Took the weekend to kayak and relax a bit. Plan to be back on the grind solid for the rest of the month to slide into 5000 games np I hope.

I started a session today but had to cut it short when it started to storm. I had just wrapped up the games I had running and lightning took out a transformer or two and suddenly 2000 people were without power. I managed to get 50 or so games in, gonna put in at least 3 more hours later this evening.

I've moved some money over to FTP to play some Rush on the side, but I left myself a bit short for $10s on Stars, so I'll be playing $5s until I'm back to a safe roll on Stars. I just finished the first session at the $5s. I logged a solid 4.7 hours on the felt total for a total of 221 games and a profit of $50 and change. Not really too impressed with it, but I will, of course, take it.

I'm a bit worried about the state of Double or Nothings. It seems harder than its ever been to take profit out of them and my hourly has been down a ton lately. I'll likely press on and finish this challenge, but I think I'll be looking at new frontiers once this is all over if things don't pick up.

Such a frustrating day... Played another 208 games, all of today's results below.

Guess I wasn't quite done with the day. Had a 3 hour nap and got back and tackled the felt for another 4.8 hours. Better results for that session than the entire previous two sessions which is nice.

You have winning stats on 20's, 50's...why are u only playing 5's & 10's? If you don't mind me asking.

I guess that's where the challenge part came in. I wanted to pad my life roll a bit more so I took about 90% of what I had online off and decided to just grind it out again. I go through this every so often. Sometimes I lose my fire. Y'know, that desire to succeed? No better way to fire it up then to have to get it.

I mentioned in my OP that I didn't know if I would traverse the stakes for sure, but where I'm feeling at right now has me wanting to do some heavy grinding and moving up. With over 13,000 games to go I'm sure you'll be seeing me move through the various DoN limits throughout the summer if I can continue to keep this newfound fire alive again, which I have all intentions of trying to maintain.

I also feel I can be an unfolding example that you can take a near-nothing roll and make things happen.

Hey just wondering..since you've played alot of 50's & 100's did you get affected by that collusion ring at all? My bro plays alot on 50's & 100's with some of those players and didn't get any compensation.

Don's are so easy to cheat on which always has me on the lookout everytime I play. Like today i saw this guy with a new account and shark had him playing like 20 tables. I know its likely nothing but who 20 tables right away?

I have hands in my database from several of the names that got mentioned throughout the cheating scandal thread, but I've yet to receive anything. I asked Stars on two occasions about it and was asked to be patient both times; I'm expecting no compensation. The fact I don't expect to get compensated doesn't even bother me that much, it's the fact that Stars is dragging their heels sooooo bad with this situation, they're allowing themselves to be put in such a negative light over it. I mean, they should at least address the community on a fairly regular basis on their activities regarding the matter, even if it involves them openly admitting they don't know what to do right now.

Out of all the tens of thousands of games you've played..have u ever really even noticed detected collusion in a game?

I've played about 4k don's and to be honest I haven't really noticed it once. I've seen some weird protection plays but I can't with certainty that it has happened.

I've never openly been able to say for certainty, but I've had some weird **** happen. I actually had a guy open limp the sb to a shortstack's BB, and open fold the flop. I reported that to Stars and, although it's ****ing questionable as ****, the two weren't colluding together on a regular basis -- the guy just did it to spite me. Stars should disable open folding when checking is free if you ask me, but whatever.

It's next to impossible to notice it though, since I'm playing 32 tables the entire time I'm playing. I happened to be winding down and only had a couple tables up the time I caught the guy open folding to the shortstack that time.
