Hi all,
my name is Robin and I'm from southern Germany. I used to play poker fulltime from late 2009-late 2011 with mtts where I made a profit of 86k, but it was the poker boom still and money came easy.
I lost the interest for mtts and did an aducation as software developer, which I finished.
The last years I sporadically tried to make cash games a side income but suffer or for the future hopefully suffered from fancy play syndrom.
The micros a battle ground and the eastern poeple take it very serious, I think 1$ goes a long way over there and the american $ bouncers arent around at the moment, but I hope that will change again.
on top of the eastern poeple there are the newbies, that are enthusiastic about poker and also take the game serious.
so my fooling around, callin pot or more on the river w/o nuts or close around 1000 times didnt bring me further.
I'm a big David Yan fan and one day chatted with him a little bit and he sad maybe cash game isnt for me and thats a big motivation for me!
In my life so far I fullfilled all my dreams from girls to job to chilling and beer.
Outside of poker I have a girlfriend who supports my cash game dream, but shes a domina and takes me on a serious emotional rollercoaster and there are days where I can only lay in bed crying because of that lol.
I now have the goal to read strategy articles on a daily basis and move away from the rush and cash tables to regular ones.
I once saw a interview with Patrick Antonius where he said he also grinded only 2 tables before zoom and so on for a long time.
also on GGPoker you can do funny chat stuff.
my roll right now is 110$ and I play 2nl.
please wish me luck and all tips are appreciated.
