Playing 6max, starting back at 5NL after having a mixed 30k hands at 10NL showing a small loss, clearly missing some fundamental stuff so looking to rework my game with the hope of getting to 25NL by Xmas, I'd be pretty pleased with that.

Started a goals thread before which fizzled out too quick, I now realise how much harder online poker is these days, I'll post hands and possibly some graphs to show progress.

Would like to follow others in a similar position and am open to joining a study group should anyone want my input.

Starting BR: $113.26

Happy with the start made today after 1k hands, will post a few hands in a bit that I'm not 100% sure on and a couple that were pretty hilarious.

Think this is pretty standard, villain 63/8, is anyone playing this any differently at any point?

Villain 39/20 over 105 hands, slim chance of him hitting the flop, given that when he calls we'll end up checking turn a lot, is my bet sizing too large here? Am I giving away an extra couple BB's that I don't need to? Should I even be c-betting here as the flop clearly doesn't hit my range.

Villain 26/16 over 86 hands, can't see why he'd raise a FD here, probably a good time to raise a set or two pair, given we have the FD are we going to be good enough of the time to call and re-evaluate river?

Don't quite love it as much as having your boat called by a busted gutter, maybe J's look like 8's after a few beers?

Disappointing end to the day, played another 1k hands, ran into a higher set, decided it would be smart to stack off pre with QQ against someone with a 3b% of 2 over 300 hands and ran into kings and then managed not to lay kings down on the river with the worst board texture imaginable.

+7 is now -7, nothing worse than playing like an idiot, we'll go again tomorrow.

Y did you make it 5x with the AQo hand and complete in the SB with AJs?

Didn't fancy putting in 4/5bb extra to play OOP with likely 3 others when I felt I could get value post flop if I hit.

I tend to 5x a limp when in MP, I find otherwise you get a call from CO or BTN a bit too often, plus there's the fact you'll be potentially playing a larger pot IP with the limper if they call.

Thanks to all so far, looking forward to tomorrow now!

Why would you ever fold KQ on the turn?! you get 24% pot odds, and the chance of hitting the flush is 18% (assuming he's got a set). If you do hit it on the river, you're gonna stack him most of the time. It's an easy call

I don't think you should be worried about playing AQ OOP at 5NL postflop. You definitely want callers. In saying that if you normally make it 4x then 4x +1 for the limper is fine. (I didn't see the limp!)

The AJs I really think is a great spot to squeeze. Have to punish the limpers and build a bigger pot for when we hit as we almost definitely have the best hand pre. Alot of the time you will win pre and scoop 4BBs but to say 3 people are likely to call is a bit unrealistic. 1 and maybe 2.

Just my 2 cents, best of luck mate.

Typically I got home last night to no Internet connection, spent an hour trying to sort it (wired) and then realised my cat had decided to remove the Ethernet cable, always the simple things. Then the oven blew up so certainly more likely to play today or possibly find another excuse.
