I'm supposed to continue a lot of my range OTT, a lot of gutshots or oesd should continue OTT here so when I X I am always checking to either call or xr. Most of the population will almost never x/f on these 1 BW flops---->2BW turns when they check since they just barrel their air.
Theory will stab hands like 54s/65s/76s/A5s. Do not stab these hands in practice, your fold equity is much lower than what a solver says

1. SB needs 2 cbet sizing's because we want to shove a bunch of spade turns. You go small and big
2. SB has very low frequency double barrel range on this turn card. I don't think players will do this in real life, I was thinking of jamming turn but it's only good if AK folds which I'm not sure about.
3. Will post results when I get them

Also a quick rant on all training sites. These training sites that charge $100/month (I don't even know what it is anymore it's absurd) are not entirely honest in their calculations of winrates. They are intentionally suppressing winates to boost their product. By keeping the bar low with winrate benchmarks they create an artificial sense of achievement that is not aligned with what you can truly achieve.
Here is an example.
8bb is NEVER crushing unless you are playing 5knl+ or maybe 500 zoom on pokerstars. Otherwise it is simply a good winrate.
If you are playing microstakes/small stakes you can clear 20bb+ winrates. The training sites will never tell you this because they are not incentivized too. Don't listen to them.
That is all for now.
Well, the thing about that chart is that it's straight out of Acevedo's book.
This is my favorite line for value on Ace high boards vs regs. You combine the B12 with the river check and most IP Ax will auto bet river. Didn't work out here but one day I'll get it.

River ($7.98): T J 8 3 A
SB Bets $6.11 (allin), HERO Folds
Spoiler:
SB wins: $7.59
Solver hates this turn call. It's over -5bb. But once we nodelock to population tendencies the turn fold becomes a turn shove (I incorrectly called here).
You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table

In theory it is. But we are playing vs a fish. You don't even really want to cbet flop vs a reg but Fish under XR and overcall preflop so we always cbet small to make their range weaker on later streets.
The river sizing is terrible in theory as well, you never go super small when you can just X back and realize equity. Solvers will never go less than half pot. But checking back is much worse in practice because of fish tendencies.

fair enough, but I think our hand benefits from a big bet otf against a rec, folds out a lot of the overcard nonsense. As you said their range is weaker and it makes some sense to put some pressure. The river I like though, fish will check with trips+ like <5% of the time

Yeah it's interesting to hear other people's thought process. My take on this is we want overcards to call vs a small cbet if he is a fish since it's a 0EV call in theory but then we play turn/river way better than them so it becomes EV+.

i would agree if we are going to barrel the turn (w/77). Otherwise we just give him the turn and river very cheap when he has overcards. Even if he's a fish, the equities remain the same.
