Might be man.. might be. Made me think about a BenaBadBeat YT video at nl1k where he bet turn small with the intention to define the recs range and someone commented "We've come full circle. The 1k regs are saying 'I bet the turn to see where I was at'". Probably not theory at all but it's just fun to follow how poker meta evolves year to year. Sometimes I read the 2+2 low stakes live poker section for nostalgia, with talk about LAGs, TAGs and in general more intuition, emotionally driven decisions and leveling wars based on a couple hands etc. You don't get that anymore from the micros online poker section.

I've seen that video funnily enough. And that very comment... pretty sure I even replied to it lol.. small world.
yeah I was amused when I found out theory likes to open limp sb, don't think anyone saw that comming. These tiny Cbets would have been laughed out the room as well. I remember back in the day block betting river small with a FH when flush came in cos I thought it got max value from whole of villains range, crying calls from weaker hands and raises from bluffs + flushes and all the 'strong' players said you should just bomb it.. now seeing it done in high stakes videos lol
Trying to work on these spots since theory really loves going huge here. We get to use QJs/QTs for bluffs.
Hrmm I can't find the hand now but I noticed something similar when I had the Ks on 4 spade board(2nd NF). I think it was in a 3bet pot and solver wanted to 2x pot the river. Seems so odd to do that against humans though.
Cool turn spot that is weird but makes sense when you study it more. We go mostly smaller OTT here with 22 to have bluffs on BW rivers. Our goal is to target Tx/Gutshots/pocket pairs better than ours.
Can also go 2.75x pot if you want to Yolo.

Not sure how to calculate the odds, but I have witnessed this scenario live. One of KK hands won with four to a flush and undiplomatically fist-pumped (ironically he being the last to act preflop and who could have folded). AA player looked truly sad.
