I need to go over some stuff before I will comfortable adding more tables.
I'm working on cbetting vs checking, 3betting better ranges, opening ranges and sizing.
Valuebetting more and picking better spots to bluff.
Thinking about range's, combo's, equity and pot odds.
Also kind of working on philosophy of the game. Like how I think about the game overall.
Hard to get all this done atm though because I am grinding a few hours and then I have loads of HH to review and each hand takes like a day to properly review.
On top of that I am working out and getting healthy again and have a bunch of annoying life stuff to deal with all the time!
Anyway its all basic and will gradually get done and then it will be time to move onto more advanced things!
I really do believe minraising at 20NL is a big mistake. Have had a lot discussion about it with better players than I am (I minopened first as well), and after that decided to change it. Best argument is imo that you will win a lot of money at this stakes with c-betting and valuebetting IP. You win more if the pot on the flop is bigger. Easy to understand I guess.
As played, why do you bet so small on the flop? It is not a 3-bet pot, and you don't want to give them a good price with draws, and they will call you with 78, 99/TT, w/e. I would go atleast $.40 here.
Turn, pretty crappy spot but because you also have a TP I would prob call as well. River easy fold imo. Don't see what worse he can have.
the min open is probly sub optimal because I should be tightening up and 3x'ing to isolate the SB's wider calling range, also not giving BB pot odds for most of his range,
As played I bet hpsb because I wanted them to peel light and wasnt sure how great my equity was multiway, also getting HU was good too.
I felt like 40 was too much
otr its not the fact he bets but his sizing. is he just trying to value town me because he thinks i call with something random like weak Kx, 2nd pair or is it because he wants to bluff? why not bet smaller for value?
I think minraising the button works well vs a player pool that starts to include thinking, aggressive players. That's not the case at nl10 and from about 250k hands of nl10 played in the last 9 months I assure u 3x ing the button works more than fine. As played I think u have to bet more 1.) for value 2.) to get a clearer picture about their hands. Turn I believe u re beat by top pair queen kicker / twopair or much more likely a set of mainly nines but given the turned draw and the odds this is a call. River is a snap fold without solid reads that villain can bomb as a bluffs this is nl10 don't outthink yourself. You have Top pair no Kicker on a dry board and villain bombs? Easy fold and move on to the next hand
My game was a bit bollixed when i was playing 20nl. As you can see I sorted things out more at 10nl.
Right now I am feeling a lot more confident and am starting to feel more comfortable playing 3-4 tables.
My last few sessions I have been opening up again and really pushing my edge in every spot. I feel like I have got my "mojo" back
I watched like 30 mins of ansky's antics because william said it was good and I must say I really like his work. Very easy to understand and implement.
I think the main thing I learned from those 30mins (lol) was that I need to be a bit more agro. When he says he checks QQ on A93 because his hand has a club and the board isnt drawy so he doesnt need to bet for protection but if he had 99 or w/e, its much more vulnerable than QQ w/club so he would tend to cbet 99 and not QQ.
Also he talked about agro peels IP when you shouldnt really be 5betting/6betting or w/e. It made me think a lot more about position and now it seems my game has become very agro and floaty!
This session I was IP on LAG fish. Usually I would be very tight because they were annoying to play against and I didnt know how to properly exploit them, but not now ......
He also has a finished series called "Finally Canadian" - 8 episodes of pure 6-tabling showing how to become an online wizard making money on family computirer
