I'll be ok no matter what I think. I've had long stretches where I didn't make any money from poker and short spans where I was just on fire. This sample that's represented itt is meaningful for a lot of reasons and I will def have some takeaways when I reflect back on it. This should help me make better decisions next year with how I approach both poker and IRL stuff.

Glad to hear. I have all the confidence in the world that this is going to be the case.

I've had my fair share of ups and downs and always thought I had decent mental game but lately (last ~1K hours) it actually feels like the deck is stacked. Never experienced this before (brag?) and its starting to get to me.
I have made strides in this area only recently so idk if I'm ready to be giving out tips. My mental game went from extremely bad to mediocre over the course of 5-6 years. I did what I could on my own and the end result was someone who was extremely stressed out and had trouble keeping my composure at the table when I faced adversity. I think when you spend a lot of your time around live pros who play the same games as you it's easy to settle for mediocrity bc most of them are not excelling in this area. You look around and you're doing about the same as they are or slightly better so you think that's acceptable. You also sit shoulder to shoulder with these guys for months and years and a lot of their bad habits rub off on you without you even realizing it.
I've had some REAL bad stretches. MTT variance is about the cruelest thing you can imagine. Since I've been playing cash games I've def had some tough times but I think 1k hours isn't anything to really worry yourself over. Things just get compounded when you're down and you lose confidence, start 2nd guessing yourself etc.

tyty. There's def a lot of truth to this and a good eg is if you dropped down 2 stakes below your regular games hm would u care about the money being won/lost? Hm would you be stressed out if you ran terribad? Most likely you'd be able to keep your cool no matter what occurs. The flip side is if you don't care much it's easy to fall into the trap of being lackadaisical and that could leak into your strategy ingame even on a subconscious level.

Not a terrible idea.
