When I'm not going for 300 hours I'd say I listen to music between 10 and 20% of the time and never watch movies. Maybe twice a year I'll watch a sports event on my phone at the table. This month it's probably 40% of the time with music, and I've watched one episode of a TV show and one movie...

This is good practice for you if opening a small business is still your goal. Think of countless 300 hour months, no sleep and constant worry... and of course joy and satisfaction and happiness. Sort of like having a newborn.
Thanks! I think 300 hours of any other work would be easier simply because it usually counts lunch breaks, 15 minute breaks, etc... But I know when I do start a business it'll involve aggressive spurts of work like this.

Yeah 300 hours of sitting on your ass and playing 20% of hands is really hard work

Dude. It's incredibly hard work. The first 5 years of my working career were manual labor jobs and I miss them more than anything.

Geez, I can't imagine a worse desk job than customer service rep, but I guess you can. Did you have to sell anything? If not, it may be a bit easier

Just ran KK into AA for at least the fourth time this month, which is pretty sick in and of itself, but we also both hit sets which is at least the third time I've been set under setted this month, which is also pretty sick before considering one was with QQ and this one with KK - obviously hands way less likely to have that happen. The third was 66, though, which is normal.

On the flip side I managed to only lose about $350 at 1/3 on the KK/AA despite being about 700 effective to start... So I've got that going for me.

I've also run very good in some spots, it's just been a month of a lot of extremes between running good or bad.

It's definitely way harder than people think, but it's kind of irrelevant, I suppose. Thankfully, I'm not in it for the adoration and respect of Tuma!

That's gotta be near the top of that list for desk jobs...

I'd be somewhat surprised, but maybe?

Ah, I thought maybe you were in town and at a neighboring table. My table is not as good as it was, and I continue to run weird, but I'm hanging in there, I'm up a little, and I'm grinding forward. I'll try to get a couple more hours in, and maybe more than that if I'm not tired. Somehow I've been at the table for 9 hours and 34 minutes so far with only two minutes of breaks .

I have stood up/stretched a few times, though.

12 hours and 5 minutes brings me to 244 hours and 24 minutes. That's 5.5 behind my desired pace, assuming I get my 10 in tomorrow... That should be an amount I can make up after my two days off; I just need to get back after it strong.

Heh I've never been a customer service rep but I've been close enough to it that I'd rather sell my body before becoming one. Still beats poker tho!

I think most people would say collections is worse. It's a grind but I loved it and was really good at it. Doesn't pay for **** though. If we're just talking about the actual work then for me the nut low is computer programming. I found that to be even more boring than grinding spreadsheets.

Ha, I went from collections to getting my CS degree and writing embedded firmware. Collections definitely way, way worse.

Yeah, this was the trip I had planned out of town with my girl for a couple days. There wasn't going to be any poker but instead of playing back home today I decided to do it here to get some comp dollars to use tomorrow on the off day. Slightly disappointed I won't have one log with the 300 number on it, but Amphora Lounge is clutch and doesn't take cash!

I'm a little worried as to whether my black label expires 1/31 or already did... Using my Amphora oneeee timmmmmmeeeee!

I usually refer to her as the girl I'm seeing. If you look in the Facebook dictionary next to, "it's complicated," you'll probably see our picture. Things are good, though!

You're supposed to run AA/KK into baby quads like three times a month... right?

"Oh, quads again?" is the new "It's hard to make a pair!"

I just ran into quads against the same guy again lol... I check-called the turn and river, though, with top boat... So I lost the minimum.

I assume the board was something like Q7772 or something and he had QQ.

Let the record show that on January 25, 2017, cuserounder was called MUBSY!

Limped pot, my BB, JdTd. 993dd. I lead out, one call. Tx I x/c 25 into 50. 9x I x/c 65.

Nothing too crazy. I could have/should have bet the river against most opponents but I was highly confident he'd check back the turn with 44-88.
