Pretty similar to my January goals. I would like to up the number of hands but the next couple months will be a little bit tough since Feb is a short month/very busy for me and March is even busier. My daily goals should be fairly similar except that I will be mainly subbing in poker study for my mental game notes (although will still be mainly doing mental game review/notes rereading for warmup). I will also be adding in some goals about stretching (so I can finally get back to lifting weights and run farther without hurting my old man body) and some sleep schedule stuff (which should make my days way more efficient because of how my gf's schedule is)

Good day today...longest of the year so far, maybe longest of last year too not sure. Top 3 for sure I'd say. Would have done good on my mental game goals but I had a bad stretch somewhere in the middle where I lost 3 buyins pretty much at the same time including one where a "reg" called 3b w/ 88 called AT4 two tone for 3/5 pot, called turn flushing 6 w/ 8 hi flush draw and spiked an 8 OTR vs my AT+nfd. Other than that brief period where I lost it, I did pretty good on my mental goals. Still though, there has been way too much red on those this week. Hopefully next week I can refocus on it and do better. Busy weekend for me, hoping to get maybe 4 hours in today and between 0-4 tmrw. Monday not sure (long weekend here) so it's prob going to be another low week. The week after I have Valentines and a buddies bday so that will prob also not be the best. Prob going to have to end up putting in 40+ during the last week (all free so far) to make volume goals for feb. Will get my weekly review and goals up prob tmrw or monday, too busy today...need to use time to get hours in.

Well, another good day results wise but still doing **** on my mental game goals. I have had sooo many 2 outer or less beats in the past few days that I am just losing it when it happens again.

Example from today, guy is a total nit folds to cbet like 50/50/50 c/r maybe 5% OTF and maybe like 8% OTT. Writing down a rant makes me seem like a whiny bitch sorta especially when I have won the last two days, but I have been pretty far over EV to do it and my actual winnings should be pretty low for the amount of weekend hours I have put in.

Well, first week of February is in the books. It was an interesting week...I made hit my volume goal 3 out of the 4 days I played and almost on the 4th but still missed my overall goal because I was so busy the other 3 days that I didn't play. I'm pretty happy with the volume though, so close! I just couldn't do 10 hours on Friday to make it happen though Results were ok, but mainly just because I ran good allin. I'll take it since I feel I ran like CRAP in non allin spots. This upcoming week is going to be another busy one for me, but I feel like I have been getting much more efficient with my sleep schedule and meals/breaks. Hopefully I can use that to get in a bit better volume. Also, I need to refocus on my mental game goals. There has been way too much red in my daily goals lately, especially on the mental game stuff. It isn't hurting my volume really but it is not good in the long term. For my non-poker goals, week 1 of Linear Algebra was pretty much nothing, but week 2 should be quite a bit more work/interesting. For the gym, my hamstring is still a bit sore but I think I can probably run on it today if I have time. Hopefully get in more days this time as I think I only went once last week.

more specific on what mental notes are? is this just for tilters and people with bad work ethic?

what the main reason for playing within 1 hour of waking up? ive found i need about ~2ish for my brain to be 100%.

disable your chat on every site you play on, mines been disabled for years everywhere, there is no benefit to having it on.

Just notes from the book Mental Game of Poker. I have read through it before but I think taking note helps me learn things a lot better. It does help with tilt and bad work ethic yes I think I'm pretty close to 100% an hour in, could be a personal thing. The closer to waking I can start the better, less time for me to get distracted, can play more hours overall etc. I have considered disabling my chat but 1) I just shouldn't be chat tilting...if I disabled my chat without fixing my issues I would just tilt in other (probably worse) ways 2) I have met people through chat to talk with on skype that don't post on 2p2 etc that I couldn't have met without chat.

Hasn't been a very good week for me volume wise at all. Was a very busy weekend with lots of drinking which made me pretty tired until Tuesday. I have also been busy with some other stuff, but have gotten quite a bit of homework and poker study (most Ive done in months easily) done so it hasn't been all lazy Need to put in two long days here to salvage the week though. Adding in my stretching goals here, even running is causing me problems now. Prob will go need to see a PT or something if things don't get better from stretching/mobility work/foam rolling but hopefully if I can keep it up for a week or so I can get in a routine. Have a bad habit of stretching for like 3-4 days after I'm hurt and then stopping. Also, looking into getting a standing desk at some point.

Whoa, green city. Feels good after I have been slacking this week and doing pretty meh on my poker goals in general.
